“See to it that she doesn’t leaves the room”. Emperor Damien said to Kai as he walked down the hall.
“Everyone’s already present in court waiting for you your majesty”. Kai said and the Emperor nodded before making walk away.
“Your…majesty”. Kai called and the Emperor stopped walking while Kai walked to him bring his face close to stare at the emperor.
“Your mask is wet? Are…you crying?”. Kai asked in disbelief making to touch the Emperor’s mask but his hands were slapped off.
“The head maid’s irresponsible, she didn’t make it dry completely before taking it my wardrobe”. The Emperor lied walking away and Kai blinked in puzzlement before tagging along.
‘I really need to do something about that crying bag of trouble’. Emperor Damien said as he walked into the court.

MINISTER WANG’S MANSION
“His temperature has finally returned back to normal!!”. The physician said and Mistress Gora rushed to sit by Jun’s bed side stroking her weak son’s forehead.
All through the afternoon he suddenly became weak and collapsed only for mysterious golden flames to begin emanating from his body.
“I still don’t know what caused his sudden breakdown but i think everything’s fine now. Just keep feeding him with the herbs I gave You”. The physician said packing his stuffs to leave and Mistress Gora nodded then the physician bowed respecfully before leaving.
The Entire mansion was a little empty since everyone like the whole peope in the kingdom where currently in the palace waiting for the Emperor at court to seek justice for their loved ones.
Then Cherry walked in a frown on her face as she led her maids to drop the basin of hot water she was ordered to get by her mother for her brother on the ground.
“The hot water’s here”. Cherry said and her mother instantly dipped a white clothe into the water and began scrubbing Jun’s face with it.
“Are you sure he’s really fit to carry on father’s legacy?! Everyone claims he’s very powerful including senior mother Lani but I’ve never seen him used his powers before and now he’s mysteriously Ill? At this rate, I can just say that worthless Jade is by far more powerful than he is…
Cherry was interrupted by the warm cloth her mother threw at her face.
“My goodness!! Eww! You just used the same clothes in cleaning elder brother to to ruin my face!”. Cherry complained.
“I’ll throw the hot water next if you ever compare the only son in this family to that witch! It seems you don’t know the chaos that witch just caused out there!”. Mistress Gora snapped and Cherry frowned.
“At least she’s got powers unlike someone who does nothing than receives the love and affection he doesn’t deserve!!”. Cherry snapped before running out of the room.
“Bae is in marriage talks with one of the most successful bachelors in this whole kingdom and you’re here giving me headache?! How come i was blessed with nothing but useless children?”. Mistress Gora muttered in annoyance as she angrily stood up from beside Jun.
“What if it’s that witch’s powers acting up in my son?! What if It kills him? Lani is a big witch! She gave my son powers without cross checking if it was of good or evil?!”. Mistress Gora snapped before walking out of the room.

Right at Mistress Soni’s court Bae paced through the entire decorated court, she dressed like someone who was getting married in her red attire..
“He isn’t here yet?! I thought you said your maids already gave him the invite to join us for tea”. Bae said and Mistress Soni sighed deeply walking to touch her but Bae shrugges her away.
“He might be in the palace like everyone else, I hate this!! How dare that thing dare reveal her witchcraft at a time like this?! Now young master Han has refused to pay me a visit just cause of her!”. Bae snapped destroying her decorated hair.
“Try to calm down, she’s going to die by tonight anyways so don’t worry you have all the time in the world to meet up with Han”. Mistress Soni said and Bae instantly stood up smiling widely.
“You’re right. What are we doing here then?! Let’s go witness the show of our lives!”. Bae grinned before running out of the court and her mother smiled before following her.

PALACE COURT
“Here’s the court….
“I know. No need to tell me”. Demon King Damon cut his spy off as he disguised himself in another look and figure to go into the court not without hiding his demon scent.
“Can’t wait to see the goddess who did more destruction than i could ever think of doing?”. Damon smirked staring through the mumuring crowd as they awaited the Emperor’s arrival.
Everyone in the kingdom, including Jade’s entire family members except Mistress Gora and Jun were present, even Cherry was present, the contestants and the chiefs also.
“Do you plan on recruiting her to becoming the next general? But from the looks of things she’s a phoenix and lady Sindura won’t really like the idea of replacing her late father…
“Silence! Do you think I need that annoying fish permission to operate? And what if the girl’s a phoenix she can also be tamed”. Damon scoffed before walking deep into the crowd only for someone to bump into him and the familiar scent hit his nose.
“Sorry, I’m really sorry!”. Sindura’s voice came as Damon’s shocked but annoyed eyes landed on her and her own eyes widened also, even in his disguise she recognized him.
“Da…mon?”. Sindura muttered she was putting on all white with a light makeup so she could easily be mistaken as an angel cause of her angelic looks.
“What are you doing here my soon to be queen?”. Damon asked trying so hard to lower his voice amongst the crowd and Sindura was speechless at first before turning to runaway but Damon dragged her by the hand and pulled her back to him, making her hit her chest with his, but then he turned her to face the Emperor’s throne and back, then he brought his face closer to her ear, his breath fanning her neck.
“You’re also here to watch the show right? Just stay put and watch to your heart content, then once we’re back at the palace we’ll discuss your purnishment”. King Damon said sniffing in her honey scent and Sindura gulped down nothing..
“All bow as the Emperor steps into the court!!”. The royal announcer’s voice came and many heads lowered, Sindura made to bow also but held her head with a frown.
“You’re the future Queen of the demon Clan bowing to another king that isn’t me? You just doubled your punishment”. Damon sneered and Sindura bit her lower lip.
Emperor Damien with so much thoughts in his head didn’t notice their presence as he went to sit on his throne and all heads arouse then with a signal from the Queen Mother, Minister Zhuo came foward bowing to the Emperor he began speaking.
“It’s not a big shock for another witch to emerge after sixty years of a witch killing our people, that was why the rule of killing them at twenty was established, but…because she was participating in the Queen selection contest and also was lucky to become a woman in your harem your majesty our motive against her was restrained, now she’s done the unbelievable and we beg you to bring her out for her punishment your majesty!!”. Minister Zhuo said going on his knees to bow and everyone else in the court did same.
“Bring her out for her punishment your majesty!!”. Everyone else in the court chorused loudly their heads touching the floor and the Emperor balled his fist, while the Queen Mother whose throne was next to the Emperor smirked same with Mina who was amongst the bowing crowd.
Damon quickly made Sindura and himself invisible since his ego was too big to join the people in bowing but his spy had to bow since he was disguised like a commoner.
“Bring her out for her punishment your majesty…
“What punishment do you suggest I give her than!”. The Emperor said loudly and everyone kept quiet but refused getting up.
“Since you cherish her so much not to want to put her to death! We ask for she to receive just three wipe of your lightening chain!!”. Minister Zhuo said again and the Queen Mother in satisfactory like someone who was proud of the errand someone ran for her.
Jade’s father had a straight face on but his wives and daughters wouldn’t stop grinning and smirking.
But everyone in the whole court gasped. Even Damon and the Emperor’s eyes widened at once.
👥 The Emperor’s lightening chain?!
👥 Even Demons can’t stand that?!
👥 She’ll surely loose all her powers!!
👥 It’s worse than death!!
“Since we’re not like the Demon Clan who kills their people anyhow we’ll pardon her if she looses her entire powers to the lightening chain”. Minister Zhuo said and King Damon scoffed cause of the comparison with his kingdom.
“But a strike means pain and might even kill her not to talk of three?! You should have just said you wanted her dead!!”. Asa snapped from where she sat on the floor, she had earlier been forced to bow like the others.
“Shut up you wretch! Do you think this is child’s play?!!”. Minster Zhuo snapped at her and she made to speak but a glare from her father made her keep quiet, the Queen Mother also glared at her.
“Your majesty that’s the little we plead of you!! Just three strikes of your lightening Chain is all we need your majesty!!!”. Minister Zhuo said bowing again and everyone though a little reluctant joined him.
“Just three strikes of your lightening Chain is all we need your majesty!!!”. Everyone chorused and the Emperor could feel his blood boiling while Kai only stood in shock behind the Emperor.
“What in heavens name is doing? How can they derive so much pleasure in ganging up against a person”. Han scoffed as he watched from the opened door in anger.
‘Damien won’t agree right? I still need that girl’s power so it’s best he thinks straight!’. Damon sneered his head.
The Queen Mother signaled with her eyes at Minister Zhuo again.
“Please your majesty Just three strikes of your lightening Chain is all we need, your majesty!!…
“Silence!!!!”. Emperor Damien cut him off standing to his feet in rage and everyone immediately flinched in fear bowing more to avoid his gaze.
“No one is getting whipped by any lightening chain, you blood thirsty beast!!”. Emperor Damien glared at Minister Zhuo who only bowed more and the Queen Mother rolled eyes from her seat.
“Like you can stand the strikes yourself….
“But I’m a criminal and I deserve it!”. Jade said from the door entrance shocking everyone as they turned to face her even Han who wondered when she appeared there as she stood beside him.
‘Wait…my crush’s the one everyone wants to kill?’. Han gasped with widened eyes as Jade began walking straight to the Emperor who wondered how she was able to break out of her room.
She looked really pale from all the crying and some part of her gown mostly her laps region were wet. Then she got to Emperor and went on her knees with her heads bowed.
“What do you think you’re doing?”. Emperor Damien asked as he moved closer.
“I killed alot of people and derserve death. Please purnish me in the way acceptable to please everyone”. Jade pleaded her voice broken and her face really gloomy and everyone began mumuring loudly whike the Emperor only stood staring at her.
