“The Emperor’s been sponsoring poor children into the academy for training and to gain knowledge for years now, we can’t just stop sponsoring them your majesty”. Minister Liu said his head fully bowed and Minister Zhuo scoffed.

“Learn to put your brain at rest Liu. They’re the children of poor rats who deserves to be nothing less than slaves! Sponsoring them is a big waste of the royal treasury money!!”. Minister Zhuo said and Minister Ling stepped forward to the Queen Mother bowing before her.

“I’m in need of fifty young slaves your majesty for the movement of my goods to the building site of Lord Zhang”. Minister Ling said and the whole court gasped out, but Minister Zhuo soon rushed forward.

“I just need twenty slaves! My daughter’s wedding would be taking place soon and i need help with the preparation”. Minister Zhuo said.

“Just fifteen slaves are all I request of you, your majesty I’m having difficulties handling my stall records”. Minister Wei added and more chieves began requesting for slaves but Minister Liu stepped forward bowing.

“Your majesty it would be in humane to sell those promising children off as slaves! The ministers requesting for services would never wish the same for their own children, and the people will even grow to hate the Emperor for the sudden change of mind, so i plead for your reconsideration!!”. Minister Liu said and the whole court glared at him.

“You’re teaching me my duties as the active ruler of this kingdom right?”. The Queen Mother smirked getting up from her throne and Minister Liu immediately fell to his knees in apology.

“Purnish me if I said anything disrespectful to you, your majesty…

“Guards!!!”. The Queen Mother yelled and two guards rushed in.

“Throw this fool into the dungeon!!”. The Queen Mother instructed and Minister Liu’s eyes widened as they took him out of court.

“Fool”. The Queen Mother said before going to sit back on her throne.

“I’ll be giving the children to you all as slaves…but they’re not for free”. The Queen Mother said with a smile on her face and the huge court door opened revealing Mina walking elegantly into the hall, fully dressed like a princess as she walked straight to the Queen Mother bowing at her, the Queen Mother smiled at her and her head maid walked to Mina giving her a yellow scroll.

“The purchase and sales of the slaves will be handled by our very own future Queen of this kingdom. The lady after the Emperor’s heart, soon-to-be Empress Mina”. The Queen Mother said and everyone gasped as Mina blushed widely.

The Ministers mumbled amongst themselves and Mina smiled secretly at their remarks, then the Queen Mother called the court to order for her.

“My honorable ministers, I’m here for your needs in terms of hiring and purchasing slaves for your business at affordable prices, i look forward to working with you all and making our kingdom a better place for people of noble blood only not to forget putting lowlives in their places also”. Mina said very fluently and everyone cheered loudly for her, while the Queen Mother smiled proudly at her.

“Nonsense! Everyone of them are just cabbages!!”. Asa snapped hitting her hand on the wall.

She was eavesdropping on the activities going on inside the court through the locked door.

“They’re always against we lowly birth! But we’re much better than them!! I’ve been relenting cause i thought the Emperor wanted Jade but now that she isn’t doing anything to take the throne, I’ll just do it in her place and show them my mother might be a mistress but we’re also not different from noble birth!!”. Asa sneered angrily with balled fists as she tried containing her anger.

“That’s some wild thinking you got there”. Kai said from behind her and she turned to face him with a frown on her face.

“How does it concern you?”. Asa asked trying to walk away.

“Just get married to one of those ministers to achieve your dreams. Must it be the Emperor? Seriously you’re not different from your ambitious sister”. Kai scoffed making her stop on her track and she nodded her head, though not turning to face him.

“Yes…I’m as ambitious as she, after all we’re one family. The same family you hate so much”. Asa muttered before walking away and Kai’s gaze followed her, before leaving also.

DEMON CLAN

Damon stood right in his garden his eyes blanked as he stared at each and every dark flower in the space.

“Just a little drown and she truly died”. Damon scoffed walking through the flowers and matching each and every one of it, anger suddenly building in him.

“Imagine a weakling like her almost becoming my Queen? She deserves death multiple times!”. Damon suddenly yelled out in anger as he cintinued destroying the flowers in the garden.

But as he moved closer his eyes caught several shimmering white flowers and he quickly disappeared appearing right in front of the flower only to realise they were even much than he thought all hiding behind his white flowers and his eyes widened as he bent to pick one of the flowers touching it instead of to turn black, it still remained white and he smiled unknowingly to himself.

Then Zucchini appeared before him bowing.

“We killed an Asura your majesty. He was responsible for burying the princess as you ordered but instead he took to an unknown physician in the tenth province for treatment.

It seems those Asuras still sees the late General as their real ruler and so took it upon themselves to protect his girls…

“But she’s alive”. Damon quickly cut off facing General Zucchini who nodded slowly thinking he would be punished but shockingly Damon broke into a happy laughter, holding the flower in his hand so softly like it was an egg, as his eyes shown of warmth and affection stroking the flower white petals softly, his handsome smile still intact.

“My Sindura is still alive”. Damon muttered and Zuchinni’s eyes widened almost bulging out of it’s socket.
