INTO THE DEPTHS OF LOVE : CHAPTER 111 – 120

“Nat, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to cheat on you! She approached me and offered her body,” Lewis said, trying to touch her, but the bodyguard stopped him.

“You can’t touch my madam.”

Natalie quickly wiped the tears that were about to fall. Her love for Lewis might be fading, but it broke her heart to watch the video online.

What shattered her heart even more was that the woman Lewis was having an affair with was the wife of the man she had grown to love.

“Nat, I’m sorry. Please give me one more chance, and I promise to change. I will go back to being the man you fell in love with,” Lewis pleaded, knowing he was nothing without Natalie.

“I’m sorry, but I’m not the type to give second chances, Lewis. I loved you, and the heavens can bear witness. You were nothing when I met you.

I begged my parents day and night to accept you, and even when they disapproved of our relationship, I threatened to end my life!

I was the sole heir of my parents’ company, but I gave it to you so you could be happy and make a name in Las Vegas.

And what did I get in return? Your mistreatment! You are the reason I am in this wheelchair, yet you never showed remorse!

Even when I got tired of being married to you, I held on. But now, you’ve finally given me a reason to divorce you!”

Lewis shook his head, his face turning red. “No, Nat. You can’t do this! I know I made a mistake, and I promise I’ll fix it and be the man who used to love you,” he said, tears evident in his eyes. He couldn’t even imagine starting over.

“I don’t need your love, Lewis. As I said, you’re no longer welcome in this house, and I’ve taken back the company,” Natalie said, trying to stay strong and not let her tears flow.

“I am not a heartless person, which is why I’m not freezing the company’s accounts. Take what you need and leave.

If I ever see you again, you’ll go back to the street where you came from. Take one of the cars as you leave for good.”

“Nat, don’t do this. Divorcing me isn’t the right thing to do. I’m going to be better from now on. Don’t send me away.”

“The divorce papers will be sent to you tomorrow. Make sure you sign them and leave.”

“Nat…”

Before he could say more, Natalie wheeled her chair back into the house.

“Nat!” He tried to follow her, but the bodyguards blocked him.

“Let me through!” He raged.

“You have no right to boss us around, Lewis. You should leave before we add to your bruises.”

“How dare you talk to me like that?! I’m your boss!” Lewis shouted.

“Do you want to get beaten?” the bodyguard threatened, brandishing a baton.

The bodyguard’s eyes indicated he’d hit Lewis if he tried anything. With no other option, Lewis drove to the company, but he found that his key card no longer worked.

“No! This isn’t happening!” he cried. Natalie might be gentle as a dove, but when she set her mind to something, she would do it and never turn back.

He had lost everything.

Lewis regretted ever accepting Cecelia’s proposal when she suggested a beneficial relationship. He recalled how it all began.

A year ago, he had won the title for the world’s most produced film, and Cecelia came to him, offering her body. At that time, Natalie had become crippled, and without thinking twice, he agreed.

“Fuck!” he cried out.

He kept spending recklessly on Cecelia, forgetting that the money had come from Natalie’s company, not his own efforts.

He wished he could correct his mistakes, but it was too late.

“Lewis,” he heard a familiar voice call. Turning around, he saw Richard standing a little distance away.

“What do you want?” Lewis asked.

“I came to confront you about what you did to Luke,” Richard answered, his face as cold as ever.

Lewis scoffed, tears streaming down his face. “I’ve already lost everything, so go ahead and punch me for having an affair with the wife of your personal assistant.”
