INTO THE DEPTHS OF LOVE : CHAPTER 131 – 140

Richard couldn’t take his eyes off Kristin as she tried on a wedding dress for a fitting.

“How do I look in this dress, Heartbeat?” she asked with a smile.

Richard grinned, his gaze locked on her. Noticing the shop assistants still in the room, he frowned.

“Leave,” he ordered.

They didn’t argue and quickly exited, leaving the couple alone.

“Why did you send them out?” Kristin asked.

“Because I wanted some time alone with my wife.” He pulled her closer by the waist.

“Do I look beautiful in the dress?”

“You look stunning—so beautiful that I want to pull you into an alley and make love to you right now,” he whispered with a mischievous smile.

“Heartbeat!” Kristin laughed, playfully hitting his chest.

“Say it again. I love the way it sounds when you say it.”

“Heartbeat! Heart-bug! My joy-giver! My everything!” Kristin giggled as she showered him with sweet names.

Richard smiled warmly. “You’re tempting me with those words, forevermore.”

“Well, since you’ve fallen into my temptation, why don’t you act on it?”

“I could never make love with my beautiful wife in a place like this. Let’s go home already,” Richard said, leaning in for a kiss. But Kristin playfully pushed him away.

“I’m going to try on another dress!” she said, rushing back into the dressing room, her hips swaying.

Richard chuckled, watching her go. “She’s such a temptation,” he mused with a smile. “But I love it.”

*Later that night…*

Cecelia sat in her car, waiting impatiently. Victor finally approached her.

“What took you so long?” she asked sharply.

“Sorry, I got caught in traffic.”

“How did it go?” Cecelia asked, cutting to the chase.

“I followed your instructions. I left the gas cooker on, he called earlier saying he is going back to wine shop and as soon as Dante turns on the lights, the place will blow up,” Victor replied.

Cecelia smirked and handed him an envelope.

“Take this and leave the city. Don’t think about coming back. The amount you asked for is in there.”

Victor opened the envelope and smiled at the amount of money inside. “Thanks, ma’am. But… Mr. Dante is a good man. Why do you want him dead?”

Cecelia shot him a cold glare. “That’s none of your business. Take the money and leave. I only hired you to carry out my plans, not to ask questions. Now get out of here!”

“I’m leaving. Thanks for the money. It’ll go a long way.” Victor grinned as he walked away.

Cecelia’s smirk grew even darker. “Let’s see if you can still have your wedding, Kristin. You won’t be able to celebrate, because you’ll be mourning your father instead. It’s payback time, Kristin Santiago,” she muttered with venom in her voice.

*The same night…*

Dante was about to enter his wine shop when his phone rang. It was Gladys.

“Where are you?” she asked after he picked up.

“I forgot to bring the fabric you wanted. I’m just going to grab it from the shop and then head home.”

“It’s late, Dante. You can pick it up tomorrow.”

“I’m already at the shop. I’ll be home in no time.”

“Alright, if you insist,” Gladys said.

“I’ll be back soon. I love you,” Dante said.

Gladys chuckled softly. “It’s been a while since you said that, but I love you too, Dante.”

Dante smiled as he hung up the phone.

He opened the door to the wine shop and stepped inside, reaching for the light switch. The moment he flipped it on, the entire shop exploded—taking Dante with it.
