Meanwhile, Richard and the others moved through the vast underground bunker, uncertain of where to go. It was as silent as a graveyard.
“Why is it so quiet?” Luke asked.
They each held a rifle, moving cautiously.
“Adriana was right; Tabitha’s silence isn’t for nothing,” Richard said.
They continued, pointing their guns in all directions as they walked.
Suddenly, an explosion erupted, throwing them in different directions inside the building.
The explosions continued, injuring some FBI agents and wounding Luke.
Richard rushed to Luke, seeing the injuries on his leg.
“Luke, are you alright?” he asked, panicked.
“I’m fine,” Luke groaned in pain, bleeding.
Another explosion would have hit Richard and Luke, but Lewis pulled them to safety just in time.
They all fell in different directions, and suddenly, Tabitha’s men emerged, firing at them.
The FBI, Richard, Luke, and Lewis took cover in various corners of the bunker, returning fire at Tabitha’s men.
Meanwhile, Tabitha sat on her large chair, watching the gunfight on her laptop, amused.
“You can’t get me, Richard. I wanted you alive to keep paying for Julio’s sins, but it seems tonight is your destiny to die. You’ll never catch me,” she smirked, continuing to watch.
Her phone rang, and she answered.
“Who is this?”
“It’s Julio.”
“Finally, I get to speak to you,” she smirked.
“You need to stop this.”
“And why should I, Julio?”
“I know I wronged you, but this isn’t who you are! You need to stop all of this and go back to the kind-hearted woman you used to be,” Julio pleaded, as the sounds of gunshots echoed in the background.
Tabitha laughed, sounding like a witch.
“I’ve come too far to go back, Julio. The sweet-hearted Paulina is already dead, but don’t worry, I’ll bring you your son’s dead body!”
“Paulina! You monster! If anything bad happens to my son, I’ll kill you!” Ophelia cried over the phone, and Tabitha laughed wickedly.
“You were never a mother to him, so if he dies, it won’t hurt that much. You both created a monster in me, and now that monster will take your son’s life,” Tabitha laughed and ended the call.

Hearing the gunshots from the call, Kristin and Romina fainted, fearing the worst has happened to the men they loved.
“Paulina is wicked. Richard can’t possibly die because of our sins. He’s suffered too much to die like this. Even if he doesn’t accept me as his mother, I want him to live and find happiness,” Ophelia cried.
Julio was speechless, overwhelmed with guilt. Kathryn was beginning to lose hope.
“Richard will be alright. He can’t possibly die while Kristin waits for him,” Adriana said, her eyes on Kristin, who lay unconscious.
Ophelia shook her head. “I can’t just sit here. For twenty years, I hated my son, but I have to do something to make up for it. I’m going to find him!”
“It’s dangerous,” Julio warned.
“Would you just sit and watch our son pay for sins he didn’t commit? I should be the one to die!” Ophelia cried.
“I won’t let you go alone. We’ll save him together,” Julio said.
“When I hugged Richard earlier, I placed a tracker on him. You can use it to locate the bunker. I’ll stay here with Kristin, Kathryn, and Romina,” Adriana said, handing them her phone.
“Thank you,” Julio said, and he and Ophelia left to save their son.
