INTO THE DEPTHS OF LOVE : CHAPTER 21 – 30
“I live in a small town in Glenwood which is basically meant for farmers. Almost everyone there are farmers, making it an occupation that one is proud of.
It’s more peaceful, and it’s not jamb-pack with tall buildings like Las Vegas, but don’t get me wrong, I love the beautiful views of Vegas” Kristin smiled.
“Had friends?” Richard asked.
“I’m not a friend keeper, I just have one friend, her parents are farmers too”
Richard ogled at Kristin.
“Want to know more?” She asked.
“I’m not a good listener when talkative like you talk. You will be going with me to my hotel tomorrow” He said, walking towards the stairs.
“Hotel?” She mumbled and quickly went after Richard with a smiling face.
“Really? I will be joining you tomorrow?” She asked with her dazzling smile.
“Yes. The hotel is hosting an annual event, and since you will be attending, it’s essential you get to know every corners of the hotel, so you won’t get lost”
“Is it that big?”
Richard nodded and they both entered his room.
“I will be the one to show you around the hotel tomorrow” He said, taking off his tie.
“What about Luke?”
“You preferred him to your husband?” His eyes went to her.
“Don’t get me wrong, you’re my husband for a year, and I agree, but you’re so boring”
“I? Boring?” Richard asked knitting his eyebrows.
“You are always wearing a cold face, so I don’t know what goes on in your head, neither do I know what to say so you won’t get mad, but as for Luke, he is friendly and so predictable. Your face is always like a thousand years old rock, Mr. Grouchy”
Richard drops his suit coat on the bed, and walks closer to Kristin.
He leveled to her height, and Kristin gulped down, as his floral scents penetrated inside her nose.
His fragrance was a mixture of rose and lavender.
“Hey, Peanut” His baritone tone called her.
Kristin raised her eyes to look at him, they were almost in the same height, because of how he leveled to her small height.
“Have I been too nice to you lately? Is that why you can say whatever comes out from that smallmouth of yours?” He asked, his eyes on her, and his pink thin lips close to Kristin’s lips, like he was making an attempt to kiss her.
Kristin shook her head and said in a low voice; “It won’t happen again Mr. Grouchy” She lowered her head.
“Look at me” He said, in the form of a whisper, Kristin slowly raised her head, her brown eyes meeting with his gray eyes, that when you mixed the colors of their eyes, it’d give you a taupe color.
“Do you want to step out of this mansion, tomorrow?” Richard asked, his eyes glued on hers.
Kristin nodded, her heart pounding in fear.
Richard was too close to her and it was giving her fearful goosebumps.
“Then I will be the one to tour you around the hotel, either you accept it or stay at home and don’t bother attending the annual event, okay?”
She nodded again.
“So I or Luke”
“You,” Kristin answered.
A slight smile appeared on Richard’s face, but it disappeared before Kristin could see it.
“Get ready for tomorrow” He finally walked away from her, making Kristin breathe in relief.
No doubts, Richard has a scary aura.
“You can leave” He said some seconds later.
“I thought I’d spend the night here cuz you have difficulties sleeping”
“Should I take off my clothes in front of you?” Richard’s hands went to the zip of his trousers.
“No!” Kristin screamed running out of the room.
“If cuteness was a person, then it’d be her” He chuckled, but it disappeared swiftly.
He entered the bathroom to take his shower, and he met his reflection on the mirror.
Richard walked closer to the mirror, staring at his icy face on the mirror.
“Am I really boring?” He observed his face.
