Richard arrived home late, cuz he spent so much time in his dad’s company, making sure the new invented cars were good enough to be launched.
Arriving home, he met Kristin sleeping on the couch. She waited for him until she fell asleep.
Richard turned off the television she was watching before sleep took her.
He sat beside her, scanning her.
“Is it okay to loosen up a little?” He asked, even when he knew he wouldn’t get any answers.
He heaved a sigh and continued talking.
“I had a terrible past while growing up. It’s not something that I want to remember, should I just forget about the past and come out from my dark shell?”
“You’re lucky Peanut. At least you had a happy childhood and can smile anytime you want to. I didn’t get the chance to be happy, from the moment I was adopted, all I could think about was being successful, and in the quest to achieve that, my life became a boring one, but somehow my boring life is slowly changing because of you, Peanut”
His hand slowly found its way to her face, but the image of the malicious woman flashed back at him, and he withdrew from touching her face.
Richard heaved a sigh again, and went to his room, he got his phone and made a call.
“Got news about her?” He asked.
“It’s hard looking for a woman that doesn’t want to be found, Mr. Richard, maybe she is dead”
“There’s no way that malicious woman is dead. She loves her life a lot and will do anything to survive. Keep looking for her” He disconnected the call and threw his phone to the bed.

Richard snapped out of his thoughts when the wicked smile of the malicious woman appeared to him.
He let out a deep breath and tightened his knuckles.
“Just wait until I find you, you’d pay for everything you did to me” His voice growled.

•FEW DAYS LATER•
Different cars could be seen vrooming inside the prestigious hotel of Richard.
The parking lot was wild enough to contain millions of cars.
Celebrities were seen stepping inside the grand hall. They were all wearing different kinds of clothes of different sizes, styles and designs.
It was an annual film and television awards, but it gave a met gala aura.
The grand hall was decorated by the best interior designers in Vegas. It was astonishing, such that you’d nod your head and admit that Las Vegas is a city where the rich inhabit.
Every employee was literally busy making sure that there’s no mistakes. Since it’s a live broadcasting show, a slight mistake might ruin the reputation of the hotel.
While everyone was busy welcoming the guests, a girl dressed as a chef walked secretly towards an alley, and making sure no one was spying on her, she dialed Lewis’s number.
He picked up at first ring.
“Did you do it?” He asked.
“Yes. I did what you instructed me to do” The girl said, as her eyes moved around. From her looks, you could tell she was not less than eighteen years old.
“Good job”
“I was able to go undercover as a chef here without anyone finding out, will I get the lead role in your upcoming movie?” The girl asked.
She is a wannabe actress.
“Sure. If everything goes well, and Richard’s hotel crumples tonight, you’re going to become a famous actress” Lewis assured her and she smiled.
Meanwhile, Kristin was busy admiring the guests that were entering the grand hall, grinning.
“I guess being married to Mr. Grouchy comes with so many opportunities. I get to see lots of celebrities live” She grins.
She was standing in a corner watching the guests as they entered the grand hall.
Kristin wasn’t looking bad herself in the slit mermaid gown she was wearing.
Her silver christian Dior stilettos didn’t hesitate to make a show off. She was pretty and elegant, a possibility made by Richard.
“Why aren’t inside the hall?” Richard asked.
