INTO THE DEPTHS OF LOVE : CHAPTER 41 – 50
Kristin kept crying silently as her flight documents were being processed. It was being processed in a haste because Richard made sure of it.
“You will be back home as soon as the flight papers are ready” Richard said. He was sitting beside her, holding her hand.
“Thank you so much, Mr. Grouchy” She hiccups in tears.
“Stop crying, Firefly, I’m sure your dad will be fine, okay?” He wiped her tears, but her tears kept falling down from her eyes.
“I love my dad so much, and I can’t stop crying until I see him. I don’t want to lose my dad, I still want him to be with me” Kristin cries out.
Richard hugged her, patting her.
“He is going to be fine, you just have to be positive” He consoled her.
Her flight was ready a few minutes later, and Kristin was set to leave.
The plane will land at the airport in a nearby city and she is going to take a bus that will take her to her hometown in Glenwood.
“Keep me posted about your dad’s condition” Richard said.
Kristin nodded, wiping her tears.
“Take this, in case you need to spend money” He gives her one of his credit cards.
“Thank you so much, Mr. Grouchy”
“You’re my wife, so it’s nothing. You will come back to Las Vegas, right?” He asked.
He was so eager to know what her answer would be.
“Our contract hasn’t expired yet. Once my dad is physically fit, I’m going to come back to you”
“Promise?” Richard inquired, he tried to hide the emotions in his eyes, but he couldn’t.
“I promise, I will be back”
Richard nodded; “You should go now, the plane will take off in a few minutes”
“Thank you” She wipes her tears again and smiles at Richard.
Richard watched her as she leaves and let out at a sad sigh.
He left the airport when he confirmed the plane had already taken off.
Richard spent the entire day at the hotel, and coming back, he instantly felt the absence of Kristin.
The huge mansion went back to being quiet just like it has always been.

•GLENWOOD•
Immediately she arrived at her hometown, she went straight to the hospital, and found her mother sitting beside her father who was unconscious.
“Mom”
“Kristin”
Both rushed into each other’s arms.
“Why are you back in Glenwood, Kristin?” Gladys asked.
“I couldn’t sit back in Vegas after you called me about what happened to dad. What happened to my father? I couldn’t understand what you were saying over the phone”
Gladys sniffles.
“Did you call him last night, crying?”
Kristin nodded her head.
“You already know how much your father loves you, right? He was worried sick after he heard you crying over the phone. He wanted to distract himself from it, and he fell down from the tree. He has been unconscious since last night”
Kristin cries going to her father who was lying unconscious on the hospital bed, the life monitor, making a beeping sound.
“I’m so sorry dad, I shouldn’t have called you last night. Is just I didn’t know who to talk to at that particular time. I’m sorry” She weeps.
Gladys held Kristin’s shoulder, and she looked at her mom with watery eyes.
“What happened, Kristin? Why did you call your father last night, crying?”
She was still hiding her marriage with Richard from her parents, so there was no need to spill the truth.
“I was just having a bad day at work. I regret calling him, my dad is in this state because of me”
“Don’t blame yourself, Kristin. Let’s just hope he gets back to his feet soon, okay”
Kristin nodded her head, and hugged her mom.
