Episode 24
Dominic POV???
It was the first time I left Ara alone at the house. I felt bad for acting like this but my mind was not in the right state today.
I don’t know how to describe my feeling right now. I’m not sure but it is kinda a mixture of all the negative feelings.
I punched the steering to release the frustration that eats me alive while my mind won’t stop arguing about the reason she hides it from me.
After 30 minutes of speeding on the road, I finally arrived at the bar. I just want to be away from her tonight to clear the mess that keeps haunting me.
I hate this feeling and I need someone to talk to.
“Hey, bro!” William greeted me when he saw me.
“Hey!” I briefly hugged him and take a seat beside him.
“Where are the others?” I asked when I noticed Andrew and Sebastian weren’t there.
“They are not here tonight. Probably busy dating some hot girls,” he chuckled and I just shook my head thinking about their habit.
“Drinks?” He asked while my eyes scanned the drinks placed on the table.
It has been few years since I distance myself from all those drinks that make me drunk but tonight I just feel tempted to make myself drunk so I can forget all the negative feelings that eat me alive.
“Make me drunk tonight,” I said which make him gasped.
“Woah, calm down friend. What happens after years of staying sober?” He looked at me surprised by my request.
“My mind is kinda messed right now. I just want to clear everything out,” I poured the beer in the empty glass and gulped it in one goal ignoring his gaze.
“Hey, easy there. You will really get drunk if you drink like this.” He tried to warn me but I ignored which I poured another glass of beer.
“That’s the main point for tonight. Just do one thing for me, don’t let me drive.”
I stated while the memory of that night hit me again. The reason why I don’t touch any drinks that will take my soberness away.
“Spill it out.”
I sighed while my mind busy remembering everything that happened today.
“Arabella,” the name just rolled on my tongue nicely yet painfully.
“As expected,” he said bluntly.
“So what damage that she has done to our Mr. CEO here?” I took out my phone and find something from my gallery. When I found it, I slammed the phone on the table.
A picture of Ara with someone that I never wish to meet again. Not after what he had done to her.
“This guy is-” I knew what on his mind so I interrupted his words.
“Yes, beloved wife with an ex-boyfriend or maybe still boyfriend I don’t know,” I shrugged my shoulder and spitted out the words painfully.
“Did you clarify with her about this?”
“Well, that’s the most painful part. I did ask her about her lunch date and she told me she had lunch with a boy’s friend but she didn’t tell me it was that ba$tard.”
I punched the table thinking about the picture. My eyes hurt when I saw how happy they are talking to each other.
The worst part is when I noticed Ara is holding his hand. She never holds my hand like that, not even for once!
“Maybe she has her reason not to tell you. Like you said earlier she did mention that she went for lunch with a guy and it doesn’t mean that she cheated on you.”
“I know but I just don’t understand why she can’t trust me with all this. I can’t even compare to the guy that abused her? Come on, this is so frustrating.”
“Just make things clear with her. You might have your own judgment but you never know about hers. By the way, how did you get this picture?”
“No idea, some private number. Maybe some busybody paparazzi or some ba$tard that wants to ruin my day. Well, whoever that person was, mission accomplished. S¢rew them!”
“Ah, whatever, just forget about all this stuff. I just want to get drunk tonight and don’t you ever stop me,” I warned him and he raised his hand without any choice.
“It’s all yours.” And with that request, the drinks never stop coming and I got what I want, drunk after years of staying sober.
