“Liam? Is something wrong?”.
He hastily threw his phone on the bed and grabbed his trousers putting them back on.
“Liam. You are getting me scared, who was that? Did something bad happen?”.
“Its Lili”.
My breathing hitched as he said that. What could have happened to Lili?.
“What?”. I finally spoke up. “Is she okay?”.
“I don’t know that yet, Brianna. Her form teacher called, something’s up and I have to go see her”.
I stood up. “I’m coming with you”.
“What?”. He turned to face me. “No, you are not”.
“What do you mean by that? I have to come along too since its Lili we are talking about here”.
“Brianna, you can’t go with me. Come on, you are pregnant”.
I crossed my arms. “And whats wrong with that?”.
“What if just you go into labour while I’m driving?”.
“What? Liam, stop making excuses for me not to follow you. I’m 7 months pregnant so I can’t go into labour all of a sudden”.
He sighed softly. “Look, Brianna__”.
“Please, Liam. Maybe if something is wrong with Lilian then I can help calm her down as well”.
“Fine”.
I smiled at him. “Thanks”.
He walked towards me and placed a light kiss on my lips before planting a kiss on my forehead as well.
“I love you so much, Brianna”. He whispers then touched my baby bump. “And I love our baby too”.
I giggled happily. “I love you more”.
“Do that again”.
I arched my eyebrows. “Do what?”.
“Giggle”.
“Liam, you are crazy. Something happened to Lili, remember?”.
He tapped his forehead frustratingly. “Oh, yeah. Dammit, we got to go”.
I decided to wear a light dress and then put on flat footwear. Liam was already dressed by then and was waiting for me.
He stretched out his hand towards me and I took it placing my palm in his. He held me and we walked out through the open door.
Then we went through the hallways going towards the stairs. Liam got down first and let go of my hand to go talk to his guards.
I guess he’s giving them instructions.
I decided to go out the main entrance and then I walked out heading towards one of the cars when I stopped seeing Trisha.
She was pacing around calling someone, her luggage beside her. She glanced at my side and our eyes met so I looked away.
Did she think that Liam would easily just accept her like that? I don’t think Liam will let her in his life again after what she did.
I mean, who leaves her daughter and her husband going away for years? No amount of excuses can account for that mistake.
“Lets go?”. Liam asked behind me as he slipped his hand around my waist.
“Yeah”. I glanced at Trisha again. “But will she still be here?”.
“I already instructed the guards and the workers in the house not to let her in”. He informed me.
“Oh”. I mouthed.
He pecked my cheeks. “Lets go?”.
“Yeah”.
He led me to the car as he unlocked the car doors opening it for me. I got at at the back and he frowned.
“I don’t see any reason why you should be at the back instead at the front with me”.
I chuckled lightly. “Seriously? Liam, I’m heavily pregnant. You don’t expect me sit at the front seat, do you?”.
He hastily pecked my lips and closed the door shut. He went to the driver seat and got in shutting his door close as well.
“Now I look as your driver”.
I bursted into laughter. “Liam. Come on, just drive”.
He put the key in the ignition and then turn on the engine. The gates were open and he drove off immediately.
I glanced back at Trisha who was frowning staring at our moving car. I sighed and then looked front staring ahead instead.
“Liam?”.
“Yeah?”.
“What do you think might be wrong with Lili for her teacher to call like that?”. I asked.
“I don’t know, Brianna but we’ll know when we get there”.

The car screeched to a halt and I knew we were at the camp already. Where Lili is.
He unlocked the doors and I opened mine stepping out before he could do it for me.
He locked the doors and held my palm as we walked in the direction of the camp. I gasped lightly staring around gobsmacked.
Okay, this is cool.
It wasn’t just a camp, they had everything ranging from swimming pool, arcades and also different playgrounds. It was called a camp because they set everything close to a forest.
Liam led me to an office and we got there, I paused surprised to see Lili sitting on a chair with her knees to her chest, her eyes were filled with tears.
“Baby”. Liam rushed towards her. “Hey, are you okay?”.
“Daddy!!”. She cried wrapping her hands around him.
My heart sank at the sight of her in tears, it really broke me to see my sweet Lilian cry.
“What happened?”. I turned asking her form teacher.
“A woman came here asking for her and when she saw the woman, she bursted into tears”.
“A woman?”. Liam spoke still in a hug with Lili.
The teacher nodded. “Yeah. Umm, she had short blonde hair with brown eyes. She told me she was Lilian’s mother and thats why I let Lili see her”.
I knew instantly that it was Trisha.
“What?”. Liam stood up immediately. “Are you out of your mind?”.
I held his arm. “Liam … ”
“How incompetent can you be? A woman told you she was her mother and you went ahead to believe that?”.
“Liam, calm down”. I rubbed his arm trying to soothe him.
“What if the woman was an assassin?”. He continued. “You are supposed to make sure my daughter is safe yet so you didn’t do that”.
“Sorry, Sir”. The teacher bowed her head.
Liam snapped his fingers. “Take me to the supervisor. I need to see him or her. How can my Lilian be harmed in your care?”.
The teacher nodded and hastily stepped out. I quickly held back Liam to face me.
“Can’t you just let it go?”. I asked him softly. “Please”.
“I can’t”. He growled angrily and walked off.
I sighed and glanced at Lilian who was still in tears. I walked towards her and wiped her cheeks.
“Lili. Are you okay?”.
I smiled as she stood up to hug her, she kissed my baby bump and I giggled lightly.
“Did she miss me?”. She asked me in her cute voice.
“Of course, she missed you”. I caressed her hair. “I missed you too”.
“I saw my momma”.
I knew it. Trisha was here.
“Is that why you were crying?”.
She nodded in response. “Yeah”.
“But why? Don’t you want to see your own momma? I thought you missed her”.
“I was afraid that she had come to take me along with her and that she will make me to leave Daddy”.
“Sweetheart”. I kissed her hair. “No one is going to take you away when I’m here”.
“I love you, mommy”.
I caressed her jet black hair lovingly. I love you too, Lili. Thanks for making me part of your life.
“Now, Lili. Beautiful girls like you don’t cry, didn’t you know that?”.
I wiped her cheeks clean and she giggled, I smiled seeing her face lit up back. She look more like Liam with the hair and eyes.
I rubbed my baby bump thinking about it, I want my baby to look like Liam. But not take his bad attitudes though.
“Mommy. Do you want to see Noah?”.
I looked down at her. “Noah? He’s here?”.
“Yeah”. She smiled. “He’s in the same group with me”.
“Really now? Has he talked to you yet or is he still staring at you?”.
“Well my friend, Amy told me that I should step on him if I want him to talk to me”.
“You stepped on him?”. I asked her amusedly.
“I did”. She smiled again. “And he did, now we are friends, he made a craft for me”.
“Awww. Baby, now thats sweet”.
“Brianna”.
I turned to see Liam walking back in, he kissed my cheeks before bending down to Lili’s level and hugged her.
“Forget about Momma, okay? Daddy loves you”.
“And I love Daddy too”. She replied sweetly and I smiled at that.
Liam stood up. “Lets go home. I made your favorite, chocolate cookies”.
“Yeah!!”. She squealed excitedly. “I’ll go tell Amy”.
I laughed as she ran out of the office. Liam walked towards placing his lips on mine but I had to pull away because I know its not ending there.
“When did you make chocolate cookies?”. I asked him curious.
“I didn’t. Just wanted to make her happy”.
“Thats so sweet of you”. I tugged on his cheeks playfully.
He smiled and held my hand taking me out the office. I paused seeing Lili with a cute little boy, Noah, having a conversation.
No, I think he’s telling her something. Her cheeks are all red.
“Who’s that?”. Liam asked with an edge to his voice.
“Her boyfriend”.
“What?”.
“Liam, chill. I’m just joking”. I told him in between laughs.
He breathed out. “Good. Lili is not having a boyfriend until she’s twenty”.
