RED AND THE ALPHA : CHAPTER 21 – 30
On entering, the dark room was illuminated with a yellow glow when the lights came on and the figure of a woman staring out the window was seen.
A figure that Red could easily guess who.
“Poco” she called out attracting her attention and quickly she spun.
“You’re… You’re safe” she responded coming to hug Red who had tears in her eyes.
“I thought you were hurt”
“Why would you think that?” Asked Drakko for their attention to turn to him.
They both remained silent only switching blend few from each other.
“I heard about her injury and about Cerci placing her in the pit which got me curious so I asked” Replied poco for the confusion in Drakko eyes to disappear.
“I see, I’ll leave you two now” he said and just like he said, left the room.
Once out, poco embraced her once more.
“You are alive. How come?”
“I took the portion you gave me. Apparently, it seems like it makes Drakko to see me as…”
“Agatha” they both responded at the same time.
“I thought they hurt you” said red not seeing as much as a scratch on her.
“They can’t hurt me.They respect me so much as to do that” she said for Red to smile.
“Has he marked you yet?” Curiosity lined in her eyes.
“No” she responded to see her eyes slightly widening.
“Wh…what?!” She exclaimed and in a rapid motion she gripped tightly on to her arms almost in an excruciating manner making Red to blink repeatedly.
“What do you mean by that?! Why hasn’t he !armed you yet?
The point of giving you that portion is for you to use it to secure your life.
Your time is almost up and by tomorrow, the portion would habe lost its charm.
You’ll be dead!” She shouted at her.
“I know that”
“Then why haven’t you made him mark you yet?”
“Because I Don’t know how? I don’t know how he should mark me” she voiced out as she watched poco pace round the room.
She loomed really disturbed by this news and Red could tell.
“He should have marked you by now. Everything is going to repeat itself again.
I can’t let that happen” she muttered to herself.
“Poco”
“Don’t call me. Why disappoint me like this”
Red could only furrow her brows at her attitude. She couldn’t understand why she was getting so worked up.
“I Don’t understand why you are getting so worked up. I’m the one who is losing in the end”
“That’s because you’re my last hope. If they find out that killing his mates won’t bring back my daughter I’ll be doomed!” She quickly blurred squeezing the lines between her brows. Her pacing lessened a bit and Red who heard her couldn’t help widen her eyes.
“You…You’re daughter?” she asked to see poco’s body to stiffen.
“Forget what I said. How are you doing?” she said placing a fake smile to her lips as she tried to change the topic.
Repeating her words in her head, she mumbled.
“Agatha, she’s your daughter?”
“Let’s just…”
“Answer me” Demanded Red, her heart beating rapidly in her heart.
“Is Agatha your daughter?”
“Yes” she said and when poco tried to take a step towards her, she wheeled herself some distance away.
“Agatha is my daughter” she said.
“Then why help me? Don’t you want your daughter to be brought back?”
“I do but his methods are cruel. That’s why I want to stop it because Agatha won’t be happy to see him do this for her”
She said trying to make her understand.
