RED AND THE ALPHA : CHAPTER 31 – THE END

Red who had a leg injury couldn’t stand anymore along ad just as she wss about to fall to the ground, drakko reached his hands to her only for her to flinch back in fear finally landing to the ground.

The way she avoided him hurt his heart and even when fear crowded his eyes, he went forward to scoop her up in his arms walking her away from there and towards the room she was earlier placed in before all this commotion.

There, he laid her to the bed going forward to bring ththe first aid as he tried to treat her wounds which were left unattended only to see her whimper away from him.

“You are scared of me” it wasn’t a question but a statement. The way she looked at him hurt and maybe it’s because of the mark he now sealed to her skin but it felt like he could feel her emotions first hand.

A mark was a very strong bond among my cans symbolizing the need to protect, to love and to cater.
Now he marked her, it felt like he now shared a special bond with her for life.

“I’m… I’m sorry” he apologized making her eyes to go wide. Never had she heard him apologize to her or anyone.

The look in his eyes wasn’t one of hate nor love but one they was enveloped with sadness and regret as he stared her.

“Are you sad because you couldn’t bring Agatha back?” She finally found her voice.

“Its because I hurt you without any reason” he said.

“I should have known it wasn’t possible but… I hurt all those people” he said sounding remorseful and Red could feel he was being honest with his feelings.

But just as he stretched forth his hands she withdrew them.

Instead he gave a little smile before going ahead to clean her wounds even when she insisted on doing it herself.

“Have some rest. We will.talk.I’m the morning” he said standing to his feet as he walked out the room.
There he met Cedric.

The sad look in his eyes was instantly replaced when he closed his eyes and opening them a dark gloomy look filled it.

“Get me poco” he simply said for Cedric to leave his side going to do as told.

Hos heart ached that it was Poco who had to betray his trust and right now he was torn on what to do.
A few minutes later, he returned hearing bad news.

“We can’t find Poco and Alpha drex is no where to be seen” he said for drakko face to darken.

“Find them” he growled but then he heard screams from.inside the room making them both quickly rush insids to see Red screaming.

Going to meet her, he held her in his arms wrapping his hands around her as he gently shook her awake.

“Don’t hurt me. Don’t hurt me” she muttered rapidly.

“Its okay. Its just a dream” he said pulling her closer to him and in her sleepy state, hearing his voice which was calm and soothing relaxed her making her body to calm down.

The tears on her face was cleaned by him as he placed her down to the bed hugging her to sleep.

“No one will hurt you anymore not even me” he whispered into her ears, words sounding like a promise he seeked to keep.

Throughout that night, he slept with her in his arms and when Red woke up in the next morning she stiffed her body on realizing the closeness between them.

Staring at him, up close he was extremely handsome enough to drive any woman mad but she feared him even knowing now he couldn’t hurt her.

Drakko eyes opened to see hers.

“Sleep well?”

“Not entirely but better than most nights” he stood helping her seat erect.

“Why did you mark me?” She asked the question bothering her for a while now.
