RED AND THE ALPHA : CHAPTER 31 – THE END
Even if he found out the truth, he could still not mark her but he did making her as why?
“I don’t know. I acted on impulse I guess” he said not quite sure but then he felt the need to do so.
“I’m sorry for everything that happened”
“Sorry can’t change it”
“How would you like me to repay you? Ask anything and I’ll give you” He said with eagerness to amend things.
“I want to leave” she replied and for some reason, his heart dropped.
“You can stroll around and…”
“No. I don’t want to stay here anymore. Its suffocating” she said for drakko to remain silent for a while.
“Fine. Where do.you want to go”
“Home. I want to go back to my dad” her eyes gleamed in excitement as she spoke.
Drakko couldn’t deny the fact that accepting to Jer demands meant letting her go.
He knew she wanted nothing to do with him and Internally, his wolf gave a sad cry.
Drakko waited until her legs were all better before he decided to break her home and in her memories, nothing changed except it looked dusty and unkempt.
To drakko, the place needed a whole new look and he didn’t wait around before having people to work on the house before she could move in.
From there, they went to the asylum where her father was being held.
Tears Filled her eyes on seeing how old and haggard Jer father looked.
She spent hours with him in the asylum and apparently, he seemed to be getting better.
“Did the bad guys come?” He asked Jer to see her shake her head.
“You didn’t come to visit Me all this while why?” He sounded hurt and sad.
“I’m sorry about that but I’m here now” she said. She couldn’t tell him about all the hardships she had to face when he wasn’t there.
She filed for his discharge and technically, it would take a few days before the paper work was done.
Drakko who waited outside was the tears in her eyes as she stepped out.
At first he wanted to step forward to console her when she hugged him first burying her face in his chest.
“It’s okay” he sounded above her head making her place some distance between them before he drove her home.
In the few days they had to wait, Drakko never missed a day to check up on her making her to feel some warmth from him.
With the days going on, the doorbell rang and thinking it was drakko she stepped forward to open the door when she found alpha drex at the door making her tremble.
“Won’t invite me in?” He asked with a devious smile and when she said nothing, he pushed himself in side taking a look at the place.
“What are you doing here?”
“Not bad for a house. I’ve been watching you”
“Why?”for no reason.
” Drakko always shows up by this time and I bet you thought I was him.
I see the way he looks at you and I hate it”
“What are you talking about?” asked Red not understanding where he was heading to.
“The mark, its messing with him.
He isn’t supposed to be soft but what can I say, it happens to us all when we mark our mate.
We become vulnerable to them wanting to keep them close. Still don’t understand me?” He asked with his brows raised at her.
“He’s falling for you”
Red hearing this found it ridiculous on seeing how much he adored Agatha even to the extent of wanting to get rid of all his mates!
“That’s not true. He doesn’t love me” she said backing away from him when he approached her with slow but yet.dangerous strides making fear to envelope her.
“Are.you sure about that?” he asked with a raised grow as he now finally came to stand in front of her and gripping her hand, he pulled her to him.
“I’ll make sure you’re words are true.There is only room for one person in his heart and that’s Agatha.
” Please leave my house” she said trying to sound bold even when the fear was killing her.
“Right after I get rid of you” he said for her to widen Her eyes and the next instant, he brought up a bottle trying to pour its content in her mouth.
Red struggled vehemently.
