CHAPTER 125
“Your target…..the bald man, he’s dead” he announced and my head snapped towards him, obviously I wasn’t expecting that, the shock on my face was evident
“Dead?, who killed him?” I asked in agitation, I wanted to be the one to end his life, he messed with my Star and he deserves to dîe….but by me
“He was last seen two months ago, in the middle of the night bundled by some guys…. after that nobody knows what happened and he was declared dead a few weeks ago…..
since no evidence pointed to anything….the cops just assumed he was kidnapped and killed” he narrated and I clenched my fists….. that’s suspicious, someone else is definitely up to no good…..but who?
“Any clues on the last person he was with?” I asked and he tapped his screen before looking at me….. pointing a picture of a young man, about Jasper’s age….he looks oddly familiar…. besides the guy was another frame picture of a young girl,
exactly Jasmine’s age and she has some creppy resemblance to Jasmine, in face….both the boy and the girl resembled Jasmine in a funny way
“That’s his children…. Laurence and Avia….. Jasmine’s cousins” Noah pointed out and I nod….no wonder they look alike
“Where are they?, I need to find them…. I’m sure they must have a clue on what happened to their father….. don’t you think?” I asked…. flickering my fingers with little patience
“That’s the problem, they’re also missing….no clue on where they are, but Laurence was the last person to be with his father before he disappeared…. and get this?….. after their Dad was announced dead….. that’s exactly when they also got missing….
Avia suddenly stopped working, and Jasper also stopped working the same time” he pointed out again and I stroked my chin thoughtfully
“That means they are behind Bob’s dèath?…… it’s pretty obvious, Laurence kidnapped his father and killed him….oh my, they’re all teaming up against me and Jasmine” I figured out as my head bang in realization
“Laurence is after Jasmine’s parents properties, I’m pretty sure that’s why he eliminated his father…..”
“So he can everything for himself!…” I finished Noah’s statement with my fist hitting the table hard, everything is becoming clearer…..I can see it now…..
Jasmine only survived that accident because Laurence didn’t want her dead yet, he needed her to sign her parents properties before fleeing off, and Jasper is after me, danger is looming everywhere, Jasmine isn’t safe
“I’m currently trying to track them down but it’s not working, I’m sure they’re still in this city.
We gotta act fast because they are slowly getting an edge over us and any slightest mistake would become their biggest opportunity to strike.
This is the time Jasmine needs you the most, she mustn’t leave your sight….not even for a second”
Noah’s arched his right eye brow as he dished out his warning and I fall on the swivel chair….. glaring at my monitor with different videos of Jasper for the past two months before he disappeared again
Judging from the videos, he doesn’t go anywhere else except the restaurant and back at his lone apartment.
That’s when it hits me that the only reason he even worked at the resort was so he could get closer to Jasmine, he found her before me and thank God I was quick enough to drag her out of there
“You look damn tired, you should take a day off to cool off your throbbing head..” I pinpointed casually and he lifts his eyes on me
“It’s throbbing alright, but I just really need to track those bastards down, they seem really good in hiding their location but I will break them in no time” he said and I chuckled….
Trying to ease my mind of the tension, Jasmine doesn’t have to know about this, I don’t want her stressing in her current condition, I don’t want her stressing at all
“Why are you suddenly interested in protecting Jasmine, I thought you didn’t like her?” I teased and he pinched the bridge of his nose…. adjusting his glasses
“But you love her, that’s all that matters and I’m pretty sure you wouldn’t mind kicking my àss if I tried to talk you out of being with her” he smriks
“You got that right…..” I trail in a chuckle…..my mind drifting off to her in an instance
“Pûssy whipped……I never thought there would be a day when you would be committed to one woman…. I’m still in shock” he cheered and I played with my tongue inside my mouth
“She’s not just any woman Noah, she’s my woman, my Jasmine……. nothing comes close to her” I voiced out and his eyes widened before releasing a smirk….followed by a mild laughter
“Indeed…. nothing comes close” he repeated and I gulped down….. imagining my life without her, it’s definitely going to be a whole load shît of mess without her in my life.
I would actually lose it for real, probably kîll myself or worse, kîll anyone who dares to hurt her, no when I’m still breathing, that would be the fùcking end game
