CHAPTER 44

I got to the end and met only one room…..my eyebrows dipped in front as a questioning look filled my face

“One room?….. what’s going on?…..so I’m going to share a room with Jayson?….. fúck!” I opened the door slowly and walked in

Everything about the room was amazing…..a large dressing table….. one on the left and right

The left side contains Jayson’s stuff while the right side contains my stuff….I could clearly see make up splattered all over my table

It was a one bathroom and one closet and I rubbed my forehead

I will literally have to share my space and privacy with this man

I heard water running from the bathroom and I knew he was taking his bath……..so I will have to wait for him to finish bathing before I do?

How will I survive this………I subconsciously licked my lips and I felt his taste on it…… apple flavor…..he loves sweets……I couldn’t help but drift into the memory of what happened and I shook my head

“It’s not real….. nothing about this is real” I said and walked into the closet……I need to hit the shower and Mr Jayson isn’t out yet

I pulled the wedding dress off……. it’s so big and long but I managed to slip into something thiner as I grabbed a towel and hear out

He was also done and our eyes meet…….. and I caught my breathe sharply

His hair is dripping and thank God he’s already putting on a trouser……. only God knows how I would have reacted to that

“Took you long enough” I said sarcastically and he frown

I ignored him and made to enter the bathroom when I felt a strong grip on mine…… pulling me roughly as our faces were inches apart……his hot breathe fanned my face as my eyes roamed over as I saw hatred in his eyes

“Let go of me!” I snapped and he tightened his grip on my hand and I almost yelped out in pain

“I don’t know what you and my mother are up to, but if we are going to be living in this place peacefully then stay the fck outta my way or else….” He snarled as he pushed me off and I staggered…… maintaining my balance

He glared at me before walking out and I held my chest tighly……….. breathing hard as I shuddered over his seriousness

This is definitely not going to be an easy job

Jasmine’s Pov

The Next Day

I sluggishly opened my eyes as I stretched out…..I literally heard some crackling sound coming from my joints as I widened my arms…….. definitely a yawn followed as I looked around….the room was empty… just me and my tired self

Jayson didn’t spend the night with me, so much for a wedding night

I wonder where he slept, is this how I’m going to get him to fall in love?

Maybe I should stop constantly reminding myself that I’m here on a mission and just flow with the energy.

I stood up as I wore my flipflops and head for the bathroom…..done in ten minutes as I wore my robe.

My nightie is pretty transparent and….well he’s a man…..of course he’s going to feel something even though he acts tough

I walked down the stairs and my stomach rumbled…..damn I’m a cook and I can’t stay hungry when there’s a kitchen

I entered the kitchen and paused immediately my feet walked in……why is he here?

Jayson stood straight….. resting his hands on the counter as he looked out the small window in front of the kitchen sink.

I couldn’t move….. maybe it’s because I’m nervous and maybe it’s also because I’ve haven’t gotten over yesterday’s kiss

It was marvelous…. breathtaking…..I can’t describe it but it was blissful and the way he held me?….. nah, I can’t get over that feeling any time soon…. it’s stuck in the brain, the senerio keeps playing over and over again in my head like a faulty radio track.

” Are you done staring?” His cold voice broke my thoughts as I blinked repeatedly….. regaining myself and walked towards the sink

“You think you are worth staring at?” I asked and he looks down at me…. guessing from his height….he might be 6’4 or 6’5….. that’s pretty tall huh?, and I’m just 5’4…..more of an average human being.
