CHAPTER 80

Roland walked out of the kitchen and met Delilah entering with a small brown bag in her hand, her smile widens as she walked up to him

“What’s in the bag?” Roland asked and she clicks her tongue and hid it behind her

“It’s a little present for a special someone” she said with a blue eyes sinking deeply into his

“Your boyfriend’s birthday?, I presume” he asked and she chuckles awkwardly

“I don’t have a boyfriend” she said throatily and he almost chuckled but suppressed it

The awkward silence lingering as she walked past him and dropped the bag on the counter

“I’m sorry, I didn’t know you were single” he voiced out to her hearing and she waved her hands whlist smiling

“I’m not offended, besides, I’m not the only one who is single around here” she said with a smirk and he raised his eyebrows, he wanted to say something but Avia’s heel’s clicking disrupted his thoughts

“Umm, Delilah, I need you to go to the store room and take out the mixed boxes…. please those boxes contains food….raw food and you know what that means?” She narrows her gaze and Delilah nods while walking away…..she stole a glance at Roland but he wasn’t looking, his eyes were on his phone and Mika’s number was clearly displaying on his screen

Delilah entered the store room and coughs as dust almost choked her but she managed to spot the boxes pilled up and she groans

If Mika were here she would have been the one to do this but too bad she’s dead

“Stupid work!!, Roland I’m only here because of you, and now I’m almost regretting it but it’s only a matter of time before I get you and once I do….oh my goodness! ” She sequels happily as she claps her hands together

Taking in deep breaths as she carried eight boxes at once, they weren’t heavy but it’s impossible for her to see what’s up front….she tried to walk but almost interwined her legs, causing her to stumble a little but she maintained her stance

“I hate this job with passion!!” She groans angrily as she slowly head for the door, they were six boxes left but she will come back for them after keeping the ones she’s holding

She barely made it to the door and her hands started hurting her slightly and she hissed….. staggering from side to side as she slowly gets to the door

“Here, let me help you” a voice said and she sighs in relief as she hands four boxes, remaining four as she smiles

“Oh my, thank you so muuuuuch!!!” Delilah shrieks as the boxes falls from her hand and Mika grinned, holding the four boxes as Delilah couldn’t believe her eyes, she stumbled backwards as she fell flat on her butt….her eyes almost bulging out of it’s socket

“Surprise to see me?” Mika said with a smirk as she threw the boxes at Delilah and started walking up to her as Delilah crawls backwards on her butt

“No, this isn’t happening, no way” Delilah mumbles as fear surged through her and Mika won’t stop moving.
