CHAPTER 9B
ICE ROOM
The ice room was said to be outrageous as anyone who has been locked up in there freeze greatly while some freeze to death depending on the hours.
Aurora was thrown into the ice room and she felt the cold immediately, her teeth chattered with fear, her body shaking like a leaf. The room was freezing, the walls made of ice, the floor slick with frost. She huddled in a corner, her eyes streaming with tears, her mind reeling with thoughts of despair as her arms wrapped her body.
Minutes tickled by and Aurora felt weak as the cold entered deep into her soul, her vision became blurry as she soon fell into darkness falling on the frozen floor unconsciously.

SAPPHIRE’S CHAMBER
Emp. Augustus entered sapphire’s chamber and she stood up from where she is sitting.
She dismissed Jade, while jade bowed her head to the emperor and left the chamber.
“Brother” sapphire mumbled.
“Where did you go yesterday and why did you leave the palace without notice” he snapped.
“If I had told you, you wouldn’t let me…. I just want to know how life is, outside the palace” she explained.
“You should have gone with guards, if I said you should not, then you respect my decision because it for your own good” he blurted.
Sapphire eyes gleam teary and she wiped it “are you now angry at me brother”
Augustus signed “don’t ask me, don’t try to leave the palace or I won’t spare you anymore” he warned
“Can’t I be free on my own, why are you treating me like a kid” she protested.
“Don’t just go out of the palace, it dangerous if the enemies happens to be there” he snapped and she walked to the door tearing up.
But before she could open it, Augustus appeared in front of her and hugged her “I don’t like seeing you crying, stop it”
He only felt emotional when it come to his sister or his mother.
She sobs on his chest “Fine, I’ll let you leave the palace but with guards” he said in a hoarse voice and she looked up, her face gleaming with happiness
“Yes, yes…thanks Brother” she wiped her fake tears and jumped on him him happily.
“Don’t tell me you those tears are fake”
“What else” she rolled her eyes playfully.
“Don’t do that” he warned leaving her suite and she crossed her arms.
“Finally”

SIX HOURS LATER
Footsteps were heard around the ice room and the door to it opened. Caeser and two more guards entered to see Aurora unconscious pale body on the frozen floor.
He hastily carried her cold body in his arms and left the ice room down to Madam Eloise room.
Madam Eloise was in shock as she saw Aurora’s pale body,
“You can go, I’ll take care of her” she assured Caeser and he nods turning then left the room.
Eloise touched Aurora’s forehead and exhaled loudly.
Her skin pale and blue-tinged. Her eyes were closed, her lashes frozen together. Her breathing was shallow, her chest barely rising with each breath.
Eloise laid her on a warm pallet, wrapping her in thick blankets. She rubbed her hands and feet, trying to restore circulation. A warm compress was placed on her forehead.
A crackling fire was kindled nearby, its warm flames dancing across Aurora’s face. The heat enveloped her, thawing out her frozen limbs. She moaned softly, her body relaxing into the warmth.
Jade entered the room and moved closer to Aurora. “Thank Goodness, she survived” she Mumbled rubbing Aurora’s palm.
“Aren’t you supposed to be with Princess Sapphire” Eloise asked.
“No.. she dismissed me” she gazed up at Eloise then at Aurora
Slowly, Aurora’s eyes flickered open. She gazed up at the concerned faces, her vision blurry. Her lips were dry and cracked, her voice barely a whisper.
“Just rest Aurora” Madam Eloise urged her and her eyes flinched open.
“I’m..still….alive” she stuttered, her dry and pale lips moving.
“You’ll be fine Aurora”
