CHAPTER 96

EMPEROR AUGUSTUS CHAMBER

Emperor Augustus paced in his suite waiting for the physician to be done, Queen Nana stormed in asking of her.

“Son, where is she?” she asked and Augustus pointed at the inner chamber. She didn’t hesitate before going in and Augustus followed.

The physician was still Attending to Aurora when Esmeralda came in.

“What are you doing here” Augustus asked.

“It me…I did it” she muttered.

“Did what” Queen Nana asked.

“I pushed her down the stairs” Esmeralda muttered without remorse.

“How could you do that, Esmeralda” Queen Nana half yelled.

“She killed my baby and I’ll kill hers……” Esmeralda yelled back.

“What did you just say” Augustus asked, his blood boiling already.

“I did it, I pray she looses her child” Esmeralda said

Augustus swiftly moved towards her and grabbed her neck tightly raising her up and she struggled for breath.

His veins were visible on his neck down to his hands, his hands trembling, he wanted to kill her at the moment.

Her legs were dangling in the air as Augustus tightened his hands around her neck, his eyes were bloodshot as Blood started coming out of her mouth.

Astrid wanted to move closer to stop him. “Stay back” Augustus growled.

“How dare you….. ” He muttered. “I swear to Gawd, if she loses my baby…you are dead. I mean it, I Fucking mean it” He growled and pushed her down as she fell down with a loud thud.

Queen Nana moved closer to Esmeralda and gave her two sound slap on her cheek making it damn red.

“Animal!!” Queen Nana spat.

“She killed my child too” Esmeralda yelled.

“Astrid” Augustus screamed and Astrid came closer.

“Take this idiot down to the darkest and deepest part of the dungeon now and chain her. start by lashing her and don’t stop until you receive orders from me” he growled and Esmeralda eyes widened.

“You are hereby ripped of your status as a mistress, take her maid too. I’m sure they are both behind this” he declared.

“You can’t do this to me your highness” She shouted as the guards grabbed her. She struggled to move away from hus grip but he were too strong for her.

“I’m a royalty, your highness. Don’t treat me like this” Esmeralda yelled as the Astrid dragged her away.

Augustus had tears in his eyes as he gazed at Aurora who was lying lifeless on the bed.

Queen Nana moved towards him, holding his hands.

“I should have sent her back to her father’s kingdom, I shouldn’t have let her stay mother” he said in between tears.

“It not your fault, Son. We just need to make sure she doesn’t loose the baby” Queen Nana said and he nods slightly.

“I can’t believe she was pushed, it hurts….Mother” He cried as Queen Nana patted him.

The physician turned to them, her eyes widened as she stared at Aurora.

“Did she loose the pregnancy” Queen Nana asked and the physician shook her head.

“Words, woman..” Augustus yelled and she spoke up.

“No, your highness. She didn’t loose the child, I’ve never seen such before but it still a good news” The physician smiled and they heaved a sigh of relief.

“Is she okay” he asked.

“Yes, she’ll be fine after a few rest” The physician muttered.

“Alright, you can go” Queen Nana said and the physician bowed before leaving the chamber completely.
