THE CURSE OF ALTVALL : CHAPTER 41 – 50

A sharp cry burst from the child. Blood bloomed. A bright red line appeared across his face — a deep, clean wound.

Surganah roared, his claws glowing with rage. “You dare hurt him?!”

But even as the fury swelled in his voice, something strange happened.

The wound — as if touched by time itself — began to close.

One second… two… three…

Gone.

Not even a scar remained.

The baby stopped crying and blinked up at Surganah again, almost… unfazed. Unbothered. As if pain itself had forgotten him.

The dark lord stepped back, stunned. “What…?” he whispered.

He looked from the boy’s now flawless face to the Pot, his expression shifting from wrath to awe.

“You tried to harm him,” he said, voice dangerously low. “You tried to kill my child.”

The pot hissed again, louder this time.

“Who told you he is yours?”

Surganah’s eyes blazed. He held the child higher and pointed to the smooth skin where the wound had vanished.

“You’ve hurt kings and seers with a single breath. You’ve burned whole armies from the inside. You left scars on beasts that never heal.” He stepped forward, fearless. “But you can’t touch him.

Not even you. The boy healed in seconds. No potion. No spell. Just… power. Power that answers to no one.”

The pot offered no denial. No laugh. It stood silent — and somehow… watchful.

“This child,” Surganah said with a growl, “is mine. And I’ll raise him to be the most feared Alpha in the realms. Whether you like it or not.”

Without waiting for a response, he turned from the pot. His heavy steps shook the floor as he marched out of the chamber.

The boy in his arms let out a soft sound — something between a yawn and a growl — then fell asleep.

But behind them, deep in the shadows of the pot, a shape began to stir. Something ancient. Something waiting.

And far above the dungeon, as thunder cracked and rain began to fall over Altvall Island, the sky bore witness to a prophecy that even fate itself had not dared write.
