“So that was how it happened?” Millie asked Nellie who is sitting in front of her.

“Yeah!” She said.

“And you haven’t seen him since then?” She asked.

“Yeah, it felt like he became invisible all of a sudden, I can’t even see anything about him” Nellie said.

“Have you gone to his company?” Millie asked.

“I can’t go there, my Mom said I shouldn’t go” she said.

“Why not call him on phone” Millie said.

“My phone…..I lost his number after he broke my phone” Nellie said and Millie sighed.

It’s been one month, one f**king month that she had an argument with Kingsley and he left the island for her and since then she haven’t set her eyes on him or even hear his voice.

“Gosh Nell, I’ve told you to control your anger, you are a woman and the type of anger you deals with can destroy your life” Millie said.

“But he started it, why did he broke my phone and why did he fire that doctor without telling me” Nellie said.

“So your marriage was destroyed because of an ordinary guy?” Millie asked.

“There is nothing like ordinary guy here Mills, It happened because he f**king broke my phone, which is not right, you and I knows that, Kingsley might be my husband but that doesn’t mean he shouldn’t respect me, he should give me some respect at times other than shut me up whenever am about talking, I’ve been silent all these while doesn’t mean am stupid, am just obeying my mother’s order and I can’t do that again” she said and Millie sighed

“Listen here Nell, your husband is still your husband no matter what and men tends to act like that, they love being respected no matter what, and some of them don’t care about how you feel, I am taking my Dad as an example, Mr Frederick Knight never listen to my Mom, it’s just his things and Alvin is learning right from him” Millie said.

“I don’t care, am no longer his puppet, he can’t continue controlling me up and down, he’s been keeping his psychotic behavior aside cause I’ve…..

“Can you just shut up Nell don’t be faster than your Shadow” Millie said and she nodded.

“Kingsley was a playboy type when you met him and that means he control girls around, you don’t expect him to change just like that, it’s not possible.

He is going to change gradually, just slowly, tick tock tick tock, not like a flash, you should take it easy with him and try to control yourself around him, people like him can’t be gotten by force, he is the stubborn type and the more you try to force then in obeying you, the more hot headed they becomes.

I might be a kid but I know what my Mom went through before she was able to tame my Dad then, it’s never an easy journey Nell” Millie said and she sighed.

“I am going upstairs, I need to rest” She said.

“What about Melinda?” Millie asked.

“Pick her up from school when you are going to pick Felix up, I think am going to spend the night here” Nellie said and walk upstairs.

“Her behavior gosh!” Millie said and walk upstairs.
