THE MISTRESS’ DAUGHTER : CHAPTER 1 – 10
Arachne felt a shiver run down her spine as she watched Maledicta walk away. She couldn’t help but feel a twinge of pity for the girl, who seemed so alone and isolated.
“I don’t think she’s that bad, though,” Arachne said, her voice barely above a whisper.
Lilith raised an eyebrow, a hint of surprise in her eyes.
“You will get your answer soon,” she said, before turning and disappearing into the crowd.
Arachne watched her go, before turning back to gaze across the courtyard. Maledicta was still walking away, her dark shadow looming behind her like a specter of doom.

The seniors gathered in their meeting room, each one radiating impatience as they waited for the last member to arrive. The room was dimly lit, with only a few flickering candles to illuminate the space.
Mistress Morwen swept into the room, her long, flowing hair billowing behind her.
“She’s still not here yet?” she asked, her voice tinged with annoyance.
Benedicta, Maledicta’s twin sister, smiled placatingly.
“Let’s just wait a little bit longer, Mother.” She said.
“We can do the mission without her, right?” Belladonna said, rolling her eyes.
“I mean, it’s not like she’s indispensable or anything.” She added, she is a very powerful princess.
Benedicta’s smile faltered for a moment, before she regained her composure.
“I’m sure Maledicta will be here soon,” she said.
Just then, the door burst open and Maledicta strode in, her eyes flashing with annoyance.
“Why was I called here?” she demanded, her voice icy.
Belladonna rolled her eyes again, her expression disdainful. “Oh, great. The queen of darkness has deigned to join us.”
Maledicta’s gaze flicked to Belladonna, her eyes narrowing. But she said nothing, instead turning to her mother.
“What’s this about?” She demanded.
“Epusa, the demoness, is up to no good. I’ve just received word that she’s sneaking into the future, and that’s not good at all. We have to stop her before she can carry out her plans.” Mistress Morwen said.
“Open the portal. Let me go.” Maledicta said blankly.
Benedicta stepped forward, her eyes shining with concern. “Sister, you can’t go alone. I could go with you—”
I don’t need you.”Maledicta cut her off coldly.
The room fell silent, the only sound the soft crackling of the candles. Mistress Morwen’s eyes flicked to Maledicta, a hint of sadness in her expression.
But then she nodded and started chanting some words.
As the portal swirled to life, Maledicta stepped forward, her eyes fixed on the shimmering gateway. But just as she was about to step through, a hand reached out and grabbed her arm.
“Let me go with you,” Cassius, the alpha prince, said, his eyes locked on Maledicta’s.
“It could be dangerous in there.” He added gently, everyone knows he has crush on her and that is the main reason Belladonna hate Maledicta so much.
Maledicta’s gaze flicked to Cassius hand, her eyes narrowing. And then, in a movement so swift it was almost imperceptible, she glared at him.
Cassius flew backward, slamming into the wall with a sickening thud. The room erupted into chaos as the other seniors rushed to his side, helping him to his feet.
Belladonna’s face was twisted with anger.
“Witch!” she spat, striding towards Maledicta.
But Maledicta was already gone, stepping through the portal, the portal swirled shut behind her, leaving the others to stare at each other in shock.
“Well, that was fun,” Belladonna said, her voice dripping with sarcasm. “I’m so glad we got to see Maledicta’s charming personality in action.”
Benedicta’s eyes flashed with anger. “That’s not fair, Belladonna. Maledicta’s just trying to protect herself.”
But Belladonna just laughed. “Protect herself? From what? Cassius’s overwhelming charm?” She asked.
“I am okay guys, so please stop” Cassius said and left.
