Kaiden chuckled. “All the assets belong to me,” he said also standing up.
“I can watch, touch, and feel them as much as I want. And that doesn’t make me a pervert.” He said.
Maledicta rolled her eyes and ran towards the bathroom. Kaiden’s laughter followed her, and she couldn’t help but smile.
As she showered, Maledicta couldn’t help but think about the previous night. She felt a flutter in her chest as she remembered Kaiden’s gentle touches and kisses.
She chuckled to herself, feeling a little silly.
“Should I join you inside?” Kaiden’s voice came from outside the bathroom door.
Maledicta smiled, “No,” she muttered, trying to sound stern.
Kaiden groaned in disappointment, and Maledicta laughed.
As they walked into the dining hall, the whole student body started murmuring. They were surprised to see Maledicta smiling, and it was as if they were dreaming.
The students watched in awe as Kaiden and Maledicta sat at a corner, whispering to each other and laughing. They even fed each other, and the whole atmosphere felt like a dream.
“Something is different about them,” Lilith said, watching curiously from her seat.
“I think they’re glowing too,” Belladonna said. “Isn’t that strange?”
“Their mood too,” Thane said, smiling. “They didn’t even care that we’re watching.”
“I think something happened between them,” Cassius said, smirking. “Something really good.”
“I can feel it too,” Thane said. “The rain last night too.”
Belladonna and Lilith sighed, staring at Kaiden and Maledicta with dreamy eyes.
“This is so wonderful,” they said in unison. “We’re jealous.”
The guys looked at them weirdly and laughed. Benedicta was glaring at Kaiden and Maledicta with folded fists. She was almost losing it.
Her head suddenly fell onto the table, and she had a vision of Kaiden and Maledicta. She could see what they were doing the previous night, the rain, the storm.
Benedicta was already bleeding from her nose by the time she looked up. She always bled anytime she saw a past that included Maledicta.
“Are you okay?” Thane and Cassius asked in unison.
Benedicta didn’t respond and just stormed off.
“What’s wrong with her?” Thane asked, watching her go.
“Why do you care?” Belladonna scoffed, rolling her eyes.
As Benedicta walked away, she couldn’t shake off the feeling of unease. She had seen something that she couldn’t unsee, and it was going to change everything.
Meanwhile, Kaiden and Maledicta were still lost in their own little world. They were too caught up in each other to notice the commotion around them.
As they finished their breakfast, Kaiden leaned in and whispered, “I love you.”
Maledicta’s heart skipped a beat, and she smiled. “I love you too.”
The whole dining hall erupted into cheers and applause, but Kaiden and Maledicta just laughed and kissed each other.
“What is that” Ryder said in surprise while shaking his head.
“I am just glad she is finally happy” Arachne smile too.
