THE MISTRESS’ DAUGHTER : CHAPTER 111 – 120

Mistress Morwen’s eyes filled with concern. “That might take longer than you expected.” She said.

“I don’t care.”Kaiden shrugged.

Belladonna rolled her eyes. “Wow, he’s just so stubborn just like her” she said.

As the group left, Kaiden sat down at the doorstep, his eyes fixed on the door.

“Maledicta, it’s me, your pill,” he said, his voice low and soothing. “You shouldn’t be in there alone without me.”

But there was no response. Kaiden sighed sadly, his eyes never leaving the door. He was ready to wait for Maledicta, no matter how long it took.

Maledicta was crying uncontrollably, her body shaking with sobs. She couldn’t shake off the memories of the previous day’s events.

The images of her hands covered in blood, her fingers sharp and bloodied, and the seniors and students groaning in pain were etched in her mind like a nightmare.

She remembered the look of horror on the senior’s face as she was about to kill him. The sound of her own screams still echoed in her mind. She had never felt so out of control, so consumed by a dark force that seemed to take over her body.

The memories of Amaya flooded her mind, and she felt a fresh wave of tears. She remembered the night Amaya came to spend the night with her.

They had been having so much fun, laughing and joking around. But then, something had changed. Maledicta had started to feel weird, and when she woke up, Amaya was dead.

The image of Amaya’s lifeless body, covered in scratches and blood, was forever etched in Maledicta’s mind. She had never forgiven herself for not being able to protect her friend.

As she cried, Maledicta couldn’t shake off the feeling that she was responsible for Amaya’s death. The thought sent a chill down her spine. Was she truly capable of such evil?

The tears streaming down her face seemed to wash away her doubts, replacing them with a deep-seated fear. She was a monster, a beast that didn’t deserve to be among people.

Kaiden’s voice outside her door was a distant echo, but it only made her cry harder. She didn’t want to see him, didn’t want to risk hurting him. She was too dangerous, too unpredictable.

“Maledicta, please open the door,” Kaiden’s voice pleaded. “What happened wasn’t your fault. Please just let me in, I’ll explain everything.” He said.

But Maledicta covered her ears, blocking out his words. She couldn’t listen to him, couldn’t risk being swayed by his kindness. She was a monster, and monsters didn’t deserve love or compassion.

As Kaiden’s voice continued to echo outside her door, Maledicta’s resolve began to waver. She felt a pang of longing, a desire to see Kaiden’s face, to hear his voice. But she pushed the feeling aside, reminding herself of the danger she posed.

She moved towards the door, her hand reaching for the handle. But she stopped herself just in time. No, she wouldn’t do that. She wouldn’t risk hurting Kaiden.

Maledicta went back to her bed, blocking out Kaiden’s voice and the sound of his footsteps outside her door. She couldn’t hear anything from the outside anymore, and for that, she was grateful.

“This is the best thing to do,” she muttered to herself, trying to convince herself that she was making the right decision.

But as she lay in bed, surrounded by the darkness of her own fears, Maledicta couldn’t shake off the feeling that she was running from the truth. That she was hiding from the one person who might be able to help her uncover the secrets of her past.

As the tears dried on her cheeks, Maledicta felt a sense of emptiness wash over her. She was alone, and she didn’t know how to escape the darkness that seemed to be closing in around her.
