THE MISTRESS’ DAUGHTER : CHAPTER 131 – 140
The others were already in the guys’ room, waiting for Ryder to arrive. Ryder went to retrieve the book where he had hidden it. As he entered the room, Thane’s eyes landed on the book in Ryder’s hand.
“Where did you see a book like this?” Thane asked, his curiosity piqued.
Ryder’s expression turned somber. “This is the book I took from my grandfather. I gave it to Aka, and I found it in Benedicta’s room. She confirmed killing Aka herself.”
The room fell silent, with everyone’s eyes fixed on Ryder. Belladonna’s face twisted in anger.
“That witch, I should have known,” she spat.
Maledicta quickly collected the book and opened it.
“I will read it to everyone. I think we could find some clue in it,” Ryder said, and everyone leaned in to listen as he began to read.
As Ryder read the story, their eyes were full of surprises. The room was silent, with everyone’s attention fixed on the book.
“Wow, so Maledicta wasn’t cursed,” Lilith said in shock, breaking the silence.
“And she is meant to kill Lucan, who is also Kaiden,” Belladonna added, her voice filled with surprise.
Ryder quickly spoke up. “We can’t do that. We have to find another way.”
Cassius looked worried, his eyes fixed on the book. “What are we going to do now?”
Arachne suddenly took the book from Maledicta and started flipping through the pages. She stopped at a particular page, muttered some spell, and the page split into two.
The room fell silent again, with everyone staring at Arachne in shock.
“Wow, how did you do that?” Lilith asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
Arachne smiled. “A magic was cast on it so that it’s not everyone who will see the page, but I could sense it.”
They all stared at the content written on the particular page, which was in golden color.
“Their miserable fate can be stopped if they get intimate three times. The goddess could see their heart and sincerity and granted the demon (Lucan) a second chance,” the page read.
Ryder grinned happily. “Does that mean we have a way?”
Maledicta smiled, finally breathing a sigh of relief. “I think so.”
“There’s still a problem. Have you guys gotten intimate three times?”Lilith asked
Maledicta’s face turned bright red. “No, just once.” She muttered.
The room fell silent again, with everyone looking at each other in surprise.
“What? What are you both doing all this while? Playing around?”Belladonna scoffed.
“What are we going to do now?”Thane groaned.
Belladonna and Lilith suddenly looked at each other and smiled mischievously.
Arachne raised an eyebrow. “Why are you both smiling?”
But Belladonna and Lilith didn’t respond. Instead, they dragged Maledicta away with them, leaving the others looking at each other in confusion.
