FIVE YEARS LATER

A shimmering portal opened at the gate of Nightshade City, and Maledicta and Kaiden stepped out, hand in hand, with their four-year-old daughter, Madden, skipping alongside them. Madden’s long, white hair cascaded down her back like a river of moonlight, and her bright blue eyes sparkled with excitement.

The city was bustling with activity, as it was the time of the annual Goddess Festival. Colorful streamers and lanterns adorned the streets, and the air was filled with the sweet scent of blooming flowers.

Maledicta, Kaiden, and Madden made their way through the crowded streets, greeting familiar faces and exchanging warm hugs. They eventually arrived at their home, where Mistress Morwen was waiting with open arms.

“Maledicta, Kaiden, it’s so wonderful to see you both!” Mistress Morwen exclaimed, beaming with joy. “And Madden, you’re growing up to be just as beautiful as your mother!”

As they entered the house, the whole city seemed to come alive with excitement. People cheered and clapped, and children chased each other through the streets, laughing and playing.

Kaiden, once an outsider, was now fully accepted by the people of Nightshade City. They welcomed him with open arms, and he was greeted with warm smiles and hearty handshakes.

As they made their way through the city, they met up with old friends and classmates. Ryder, the future king, was beaming with pride as he showed off his heavily pregnant wife, Arachne. Belladonna and Cassius were delighted to introduce their rambunctious toddler son, while Thane and Lilith proudly displayed their twin boys, who were the spitting image of their father.

The group chatted and laughed as they made their way toward the lake, where the final program of the Goddess Festival was about to begin. The atmosphere was electric, filled with music, laughter, and the promise of new beginnings.
