THE MISTRESS’ DAUGHTER : CHAPTER 141 – THE END

As the Nightshade city came into view, Lucan let out a smirk, clearly pleased with himself. He urged the horse on, and it galloped into the city, but Lucan’s smirk disappeared when he was thrown back heavily.

He jumped down from the horse and moved closer to the city’s entrance, where an invisible barrier seemed to be blocking his way. He stretched his hand toward the barrier, but it stopped him.

A psychotic smirk spread across his face. “Wow, I can’t believe they made this to keep me out,” he sneered.

Benedicta stepped forward, trying to prove herself. She made a red ball with her hand and threw it at the invisible shield, but it bounced back, throwing her away. She managed to stand up, wincing in pain as she clutched her arm.

She felt a wave of intense pain wash over her, and she could feel the maggots crawling in her wound. She felt a sense of disgust and revulsion, but Lucan didn’t even spare her a glance.

Instead, he moved closer to the barrier and started pushing his hand into it. His hand changed to fire, and he started burning the shield. He kept pushing forward, his flames burning brighter and hotter.

But just as it seemed like he was about to break through, a force suddenly threw him off. He stumbled back, laughing loudly.

“Wow, they must be stronger than I thought,” he said, clearly impressed.

He strengthened his hand, and a large sword appeared in his hand immediately.

“Long time, no see,” he muttered, kissing the sharp, glowing blade.

He moved closer to the shield and struck it three times with the sword. There was a strong flash of lightning, and the shield vanished. Lucan climbed back onto his horse and entered the city with the others.

The guards of the city quickly came out and surrounded them, their swords drawn. They looked afraid, but they stood their ground.

“I guess they’re not as dumb as I thought,” Lucan said, smirking.

The king of Nightshade stepped forward, flanked by Alpha Ray and Beta.

“Lucan, please leave our land now, and we will live in harmony, minding our own business. We won’t do anything to anger you.” The king said gently.

Lucan sneered. “You think I’ll just leave after I’ve prepared myself so much? That wouldn’t happen. But we could make a deal, though. How about a fight with her?” He muttered.

He nodded to his guard, who dragged Maledicta out of the cage. The others screamed and protested, but Lucan just smiled.

“Never,” Mistress Morwen screamed.

Lucan raised an eyebrow. “What? Are you looking down on her? She was born for a purpose, right? To kill. You can’t look down on your supposed savior. So, are you in or out?” He asked.

Maledicta stepped forward, her eyes flashing with determination.

“I’m in.” She muttered.

Lucan’s grin grew wider as he glared at her.

“Well, let’s get started. And no one should try to act smart, or you’ll all be dead.” He said.

The guards and the people of Nightshade started making space for the fight, their faces filled with fear and anticipation. Lucan and Maledicta stood facing each other, their eyes locked in a fierce stare.

Maledicta brought out her sword, her hand shaking slightly as she faced Lucan. She searched his face for any emotions, but it was blank, devoid of any feeling. He charged towards her like a flash, and she quickly moved away, her heart beating loudly.

“Zoning out wouldn’t help,” he muttered, swinging his sword like a psycho. The others could barely watch, frozen in fear.

“Kaiden!” Maledicta called out when he charged again. She quickly raised her sword, and their blades clashed, causing a strong wind that sent Maledicta flying back a little.

“So weak,” Lucan muttered, striking her quickly, but Maledicta kept blocking his sword. She was getting tired, her breath coming in ragged gasps, but she refused to give up.
