THE MISTRESS’ DAUGHTER : CHAPTER 41 – 50

Just then, Belladonna appeared, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

“Hey, everyone!” she exclaimed.

Her gaze landed on Maledicta, and her eyes widened in surprise.

“Who is this?” she asked.

“A friend.”Benedicta smiled sweetly.

Belladonna raised an eyebrow, but she didn’t press the issue. Instead, she turned to the mask girl and grabbed her hand.

“Keep me company, let me show you around.” She said.

Maledicta couldn’t resist, and Belladonna dragged her away, leaving the others to follow behind.

As they walked, Belladonna chattered excitedly about the different stalls and vendors they passed. Maledicta listened silently, her eyes taking in everything around her.

Eventually, they stopped at a stall selling all sorts of girly accessories. Belladonna’s eyes widened as she scanned the shelves, and she quickly picked up a few items.

Maledicta watched as Belladonna expertly applied a coat of nail polish to her fingers. When she finished, she stepped back to admire her handiwork.

“How is it?” she asked.

Maledicta stared at her fingers, and for a moment, she forgot to be guarded. She looked sincerely happy, and Belladonna grinned in response.

“I wish I can see your face, I am sure I will have a lot of adjustments to make on it” Belladonna said, Maledicta didn’t respond.

“I can see you don’t like talking” Belladonna smile and took her to another place.

As they continued to explore the festival, Kaiden watched them with a warm heart. He was happy to see Maledicta having fun.

Benedicta, on the other hand, looked less than pleased. Her eyes narrowed as she watched Kaiden, her face twisted in a scowl.

Aka, who was watching from a distance, felt a pang of frustration. She couldn’t approach Kaiden, not with Benedicta hovering around him like a possessive shadow.

NIGHTIME

The lake was a vision of serenity, its crystal-clear waters reflecting the vibrant colors of the surrounding landscape. Canoes dotted the lake’s surface, their occupants laughing and chatting as they drifted lazily across the water.

Kaiden sat in one of the canoes, his eyes wide with wonder as he took in the breathtaking scenery. The air was filled with the sweet scent of blooming flowers, and the sound of gentle lapping of the water against the shore created a soothing melody.

As he gazed out at the lake, Kaiden spotted a school of fish swimming in the depths of the water. The fish were surrounded by a halo of light, their scales shimmering like diamonds in the sunlight.

Kaiden’s eyes followed the fish as they darted through the water, their movements creating a mesmerizing display of aquatic acrobatics. He felt as though he was witnessing a magical world, one that existed beneath the surface of the lake.

“I wish I had my phone with me,” Kaiden said, his voice filled with longing. “I wouldn’t have missed recording everything.”
