THE MISTRESS’ DAUGHTER : CHAPTER 91 – 100
Maledicta and Kaiden strolled hand in hand through the forest, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere and each other’s company. They had been busy lately, and it was rare for them to have time alone together.
As they walked, “How did you feel about Aka’s death?”Kaiden suddenly asked.,
Maledicta’s expression turned thoughtful. “Did you feel bad for her?” she asked, her voice soft.
Kaiden nodded. “I just think it was too cruel. She was young and had her whole life ahead of her.” She said.
“Maybe that’s true, but she killed innocent people too. She wasn’t entirely innocent.”Maledicta said.
Kaiden nodded, his eyes understanding. “That’s true,” he said, and then he cupped Maledicta’s cheeks, his eyes gazing into hers.
“You’re getting prettier every day, and I’m glad you’re mine.” He said, changing the topic.
Maledicta’s face flushed, and she looked away, her heart skipping a beat.
“I’m so obsessed with you that I think I might die if you’re not here with me,” she said honestly.
“Me too, so let’s stick together forever,” he said, and they nodded, their lips meeting in a tender kiss.
As they pulled away, “I want to do something special for you, let go to your room” Maledicta said.
Kaiden’s eyes lit up with excitement. “What is it?” he asked, and Maledicta smiled mischievously.
But before she could respond, Benedicta appeared on a nearby tree branch, her eyes fixed on the couple with a scowl. She brought out the stone, her eyes flashing with malice.
“You can request anything if you have the same blood,” she remembered Epusa’s words, and with a wicked smile, she cut her finger, dropping her blood onto the stone.
Maledicta’s image appeared on the stone, and Benedicta’s smile grew wider.
“I want her dead,” she said, her voice dripping with malice.
The stone glowed, and Maledicta suddenly stopped walking, her eyes widening in shock.
“Are you okay?” Kaiden asked worriedly, but Maledicta pushed him away instead of responding.
A massive tornado erupted around her, lifting her off the ground. Kaiden’s eyes widened in horror as he tried to rush to her side, but an invisible shield threw him back.
Benedicta chuckled from her perch on the tree branch, her eyes gleaming with malevolence. Maledicta started screaming as she felt her life slipping away, her body tossed about like a rag doll within the tornado.
Kaiden was weak and desperate, trying to find a way to save Maledicta. He kept running toward the tornado, but the shield kept throwing him back. Soon, he couldn’t hear Maledicta’s screams anymore.
“Are you okay?” he asked fearfully, moving closer to the tornado, but the shield threw him back again.
“Maledicta!” he screamed with all his might, his voice echoing through the forest.
And then, something strange happened. The blood on the golden book, which Epusa had kept hidden away, began to glow brightly. The book flung open, and the mark on Kaiden’s back began to glow, moving up to his forehead.
His hair began to float, and a massive sword suddenly appeared in his arm. With a fierce cry, he slashed at the shield, shattering it and dispelling the tornado.
Maledicta collapsed gently to the ground, her body limp and lifeless. Kaiden rushed to her side, his eyes scanning her face frantically.
Benedicta gasped in shock, her eyes wide with horror. The stone in her hand broke into pieces, and a massive storm swept through the forest, throwing her far away. Her head hit a rock, and she fainted.
The sword disappeared from Kaiden’s hand, and he fainted, his body crumpling beside Maledicta’s. The mark on his forehead slowly faded, moving back to its original position on his back. The golden book closed, its secrets hidden once more.
As the storm subsided, the forest grew quiet once more. Maledicta and Kaiden lay motionless on the ground.
