THE MISTRESS’ DAUGHTER : CHAPTER 91 – 100
As the students began to disperse, Cassius and Thane carefully lifted Aka’s body onto a wooden cart. Benedicta smiled sweetly.
“We’ll make sure to burn her, so she can’t resurrect.” She said.
Mistress Morwen nodded, her eyes sad. “Let’s take her away.” She said.
As they carried Aka’s body away, Belladonna turned to Maledicta. “Do you think Benedicta killed her?” She asked.
Maledicta’s expression was unreadable. “Maybe.” She said.
Belladonna raised an eyebrow. “You’re not going to do anything about it?”
“Not yet.”Maledicta said and left.
Mistress Morwen stood by, her eyes sad. She stared at Aka’s hand, noticing the handkerchief clutched in her fingers. It looked like the one Damien, Aka’s and Maledicta’s father, had made for her too.
She felt a pang of sorrow, realizing that Aka must have been Damien’s daughter. The rumors had been true.
“Maybe we should just find her head and burried her body” Mistress Morwen said.
“She deserves to be burn, she kill a lot of innocent students already, and who know what happen to her head, maybe some animal has enten it already” Benedicta said.
With a heavy heart, Mistress Morwen nodded. “Burn her.” She said.
Benedicta’s smile grew wider, her eyes gleaming with triumph. As the flames consumed Aka’s body, erasing all evidence of her demonic existence.

Ryder walked alone to his room, his mind reeling with thoughts and emotions. He was still trying to process the shocking news of Aka’s death. Just yesterday, they had snuck out of the school together, determined to uncover the secrets of Maledicta. And now, Aka was gone.
As he walked, Ryder couldn’t shake off the feeling of guilt and regret. He had been so blind, so foolish. Aka had been using him all along, manipulating him to get what she wanted. And he had fallen for it, hook, line, and sinker.
Ryder’s thoughts were a jumbled mess of emotions. He was confused, angry, and sad all at once. He didn’t know what to feel or what to do. All he knew was that he had to get the book back. It was the only way to make things right.
He quickened his pace, his heart racing with anticipation. He hoped that the seniors hadn’t already searched Aka’s room and taken the book. He had to get to it before anyone else did.
Just as he turned a corner, he bumped into Arachne, who was approaching him from the opposite direction. She almost fell, but Ryder quickly caught her and helped her to stand upright.
“Where are you going?” Ryder asked, trying to hide his emotions.
Arachne looked up at him, her eyes filled with concern. “I was coming after you,” she said gently.
“I know you liked her, and now she’s dead. You must be sad.” She added.
Ryder’s eyes widened in surprise. “Are you worried about me?” he asked, a small grin spreading across his face.
Arachne looked away, her cheeks flushing. “Maybe I shouldn’t have been,” she said, starting to leave.
But Ryder quickly grabbed her arm, holding her back. “Her death was shocking, but I wasn’t that sad about it,” he said seriously.
“She did something surprising to me yesterday, but I’d rather not talk about it. I have more important things to say.” He added.
