THE ROMANO’S MANSION*

“Sisi” Rona entered Maliah’s room and met her on her laptop.

“Don’t tell me you’re stalking the duke again, I thought you gave up” Rona raised her brows.

Maliah closed her laptop and faced her with a frown.

“How about you mind your business if you have nothing good to say?”

Rona sighed.

“And why are you here?” Maliah asked.

“Our ball dresses just arrived, and I think tomorrow night is gonna be hot,for real” Rona smirked.

“Where are the dresses?” Maliah asked.

“Here!” Sitara entered with the packages in her hands.

The sisters started checking their dresses, with the shoes and bags.

“Where’s mom and dad?” Maliah asked she tried on her dress.

“They aren’t home, why?” Rona raised her brows.

“No reason” Maliah muttered.

“You think Diora will attend this year’s royal ball?” Sitara asked.

Maliah and Rona exchanged glances.

“Why now? She never attended any” Rona rolled her eyes.

“It’s different now, she’s married to a duke” Sitara said.

“Have you ever see Duke Kyros attend the ball with his past wives?” Rona scoffed.

“Oh, that’s true” Sitara muttered.

“I need to look hotter than this” Maliah said,checking herself out in the mirror.

Tomorrow night is her opportunity, to seduce Kyros. She’s going to get his attention.

“But you look hot right now” Rona commented.

Sitara nodded in agreement.

“Hotter” Maliah snapped and they said nothing.

She sighed, still staring at herself,trying to get any plan into her head.

9PM, KYROS’ CASTLE*

Ryker gently poured another quantity of wine into Kyros glass and moved it over to him before he continue scrolling through his ipad.

Kyros kicked the swimming pool water underneath his feet and took the glass, he sipped from it and dropped.

“Continue, Ryker” He said.

“The royal ball night, is tomorrow” Ryker said.

“Tomorrow?” Kyros raised his brows in surprise, he totally forgot about anything royalty related.

“Yes boss, tomorrow night” Ryker said.

Kyros scoffed.

“You are going to attend right? His majesty actually sent a special letter saying you should come with lady Diora, I don’t know why? You’ve never taken anyone to the ball” Ryker said.

Kyros rolled his eyes.

“Those old fools” He muttered and sighed.

“That’s all I have to do tomorrow?” He asked.

“Yes boss” Ryker replied.

“Have you gotten a computer trainer for her?” Kyros asked.

“For lady Diora? Oceane said she’s a computer expert, I think she would learn better with her” Ryker said.

“Leave” Kyros muttered.

“Goodnight boss” Ryker bowed and left the swimming pool arena.

Kyros gulped down his wine and sighed.

“That’s all for today” Oceane smiled and closed the laptop in front of Diora.

“I love it, I can’t wait to become a pro…”

“Takes time” Oceane cut in and Diora scoffed.

“How come you’re so good but working here?” She asked, picking one of the cookies in the plate.

“Because I need money, and the duke pays,alot for looking after you” Oceane said.

“I see” Diora nodded.

“The duke hasn’t said anything about the royal ball?” Oceane asked.

“Royal ball? When?” Diora immediately asked.

“Tomorrow night”

“Oh” Diora mumbled.

She has always wanted to attend the ball, she always watch her sisters from her room leaving the house in their beautiful dresses and always wish she could go with them.

“I heard the duke always attend alone, even when he had wives” Oceane said.

“But why?” Diora asked.

“I don’t know, maybe he doesn’t love them? The duke never married on his own will, actually I heard he doesn’t want marriag,but had to, because of his title” Oceane muttered.

“How come he became a duke at his age? He’s young” Diora sighed.

“Because he’s powerful and he’s a good leader too, what else?” Oceane smiled.

“Even though he’s cold and looks dangerous most of the time, but actually he’s a very good young man” Oceane said and Diora nodded.

“I know, He’s a good person. But I wonder why he’s that cold” She muttered.

“Well and well, you are his wife now. There should be a way you can get into his heart and figure that out yourself” Oceane said and Diora glanced at her.

“What”

“Nothing, goodnight Oceane” Diora said and pulled the quilt over her head.

“Goodnight mi lady” Oceane bowed and walked out of the room.
