They both sat down and Alfred opened the wine bottle, two glasses already on the table.
“How come you are in the city and the media isn’t aware?” Kyros asked.
“I told everyone not to say anything, can’t I just come back without any form of drama? And besides, I wanted to show myself to my favorite person first” Alfred grinned.
Kyros rolled his eyes.
“Indeed”
“What do you mean indeed? Do you have another friend now? Tell me, I’m gonna chop his head off.” Alfred said seriously.
“Dude you are twenty six now, no more nineteen,stop it” Kyros groaned and Alfred laughed.
While in college, Alfred was more than a clingy girlfriend. They were so close that the students sometimes thinks they were gay.
“It was really boring without you” He said.
“Well…I wouldn’t agree less. Nobody to annoy me” Kyros muttered.
“Well,I’m back now. Cheers to more annoying moment” Alfred winked and they both clinked their glasses together,then sipped from it.
“There’s going to be a party at the palace tomorrow evening, a welcome home party. You should come over, with your wife” Alfred said.
“I can’t….”
“You wanna die? You wouldn’t dare miss my party for anything, I need you to be there. And besides,I have to know your pretty wife, if she’s pretty though” Alfred smiled.
Kyros rolled his eyes.
“Do I know who she Is? From what family?” Alfred asked.
“Romano” Kyros answered and Alfred frowned.
“That lame ass man? How come? You don’t like him” he said.
“I still don’t like him, it’s complicated. He entered mother somehow, and now I’m stuck with his daughter, she’s okay,anyway” Kyros muttered.
“Get a divorce right away then…”
“He doesn’t want her” Kyros cut in.
“What do you mean?” Alfred raised his brows.
Kyros took his time to explain the debt part and how Romano probably used Diora, He also told him about Maliah.
“He’s getting useless everyday” Alfred spat.
“His eldest daughter is quite a bitch, what are you planning to do with her?” He asked.
“She’s a bad news to her sister” Kyros replied.
“Oh” Alfred nodded.
“Anyways, you are coming tomorrow. I can’t wait to meet your wife, sounds like she’s cute” He added.
Kyros said nothing and sipped from his wine again.

Maliah walked into the house nonchalantly only to find their parents in the living room, they both turned their heads at once as if they’ve been waiting for her.
“That scared the shit out of me” Maliah raised her brows with a little frown playing on her lips.
“I don’t think so, where are you coming from this late?” Mr Romano asked.
Maliah scoffed.
“I can’t remember having any curfew in this house, I’m not a kid” She replied.
“It’s not about being a kid, none of your sisters knew where you went to..”
“Because I didn’t tell them” She cut in.
“Be careful”
“Goodnight” Maliah muttered and went upstairs.
The moment she entered her room, Rona and Sitara came in and she glared.
“Get out, you too!” She yelled.
“Calm down sis” Rona said.
“You told them you have no idea where i went to?” Maliah frowned.
“That wasn’t a lie, we really didn’t know” Sitara said.
“Get out of my room Sitara” Maliah said.
Sitara cleared her throat and walked out of the room,leaving Rona behind.
“What are you waiting for?” Maliah asked, now taking off her dress.
“Where were you?” Rona asked.
“What’s your business?” Maliah glared.
“A lot, I’m suspecting you. You got the duke’s number at the ball right?” Rona sat down on the bed.
“You just found out?” Maliah smirked.
“Mad! Girl you bad, how did you even do it?” Rona asked with total interest.
“I always have my way” Maliah muttered.
“So tonight, where…”
“I went to meet him, didn’t quite end well though” Maliah rolled her eyes.
“Huh? Why?”
“His little wife appeared” She said.
“What? Diora…” She paused and reduced her voice.
“I almost forgot his wife is our sister” She whispered and laughed.
“Not like I care, we should blame father for whatever happens later” Maliah rolled her eyes.
“You should be careful” Rona muttered.
Maliah said nothing and went into the bathroom.
