Kyros smiled when he saw how tensed she was.

She was staring right into his soul, as if wishing the line is not something she might ever cross at all.

“Thinking they are something to me” Kyros said.

“Huh?”

“You are the first, Diora” Kyros sighed and stood up.

“You’re the first I’m ever interested in, the moment you came”

“Why?” Diora asked.

“Because you are different, innocent and cute” Kyros responded.

“Others were here for a mission, they wanted the money, power, and the title of being my woman, they were so desperate.

After sending the first one off, I decided not to have anymore. As much as I hate being the darn duke, I still have to hold on to it at some point.

So I need a wife to do that, that was how I had nine wives,but I wouldn’t even call them wives” He scoffed.

“Because, we weren’t married” He added.

Diora swallowed.

“Just like…you and I. We are not married” She mumbled and Kyros looked at her.

“Right” He nodded.

Diora bit her lip and sighed.

So her thoughts were right all these while, they aren’t married at all, Maliah was right too.

“You are different, Diora” Kyros called her back to reality.

“We are married” He added and her mood softened.

“You scared me” She mumbled.

Kyros opened his arms for her and she immediately got up and ran into them, he hugged her.

Diora sighed and closed her eyes to feel his warmth.

‘I love you’ she imagined herself saying.

But what would his response be? What if he doesn’t feel the same and decide to throw her out like others?? Where would she go then?

Keep your mouth shut Diora, she said that to herself.
