“What dad? It can’t really work” Noah quickly said.
“And why is that?” Mr Everest asked.
“She is my wife, why will she be working as my PA?” he asked.
“So is there any rule in this state that says a couple can’t work together?” Mr Everest asked.
“No” Noah mutters gently.
“Then you don’t have any excuse, she will resume work tomorrow “ Mr Everest said.
“Okay Dad “ Noah muttered and went out.
“I hope you like that, I don’t want it to look like I am doing something without your permission?” Mr Everest asked.
“I like it, thanks dad” she said and ran outside so that she could meet up with Noah.
“Sister in law “ Nicholas called loudly and she waved at him before getting to Noah, they both trek to their mansion silently.

“What do you want to eat? Or should I prepare anything I like?” Adelaide asked Noah who was going through some files on his laptop. Since today is Sunday, he was at home, it was a rule all the Everests must follow.
“And when did you start asking me that?” He asked with raised eyebrows.
“I just want to ask since you are here now,” Adelaide said.
“I don’t care about what you want to cook, stop disturbing me” he said and stood up. He carried his laptop and left.
Adelaide sighs and goes to the kitchen, Emily joins her and they both make delicious spaghetti together. The sauce aroma was all over the house and soon the food was ready. They both eat and watch a little movie before going to bed since school resumes tomorrow. Adelaide was expecting Noah to come into the room and change his clothes like always but he didn’t. She waited till she fell asleep.

Noah tossed around the bed and a groan left his mouth.
“You can do it, before you know we will be in morning” he encourages himself but the loud grumble coming from his belly makes him think of others.
He was feeling mad hunger but was too proud to ask Adelaide for part of the food, he would have eaten outside but he was at home throughout. The aroma of the food hit him again, he was sure Adelaide would remain his own, she always does that though he kept rejecting but she didn’t stop.
“I can do it” he mutters again but groans when he feels pain.
“I can’t do it, I really can’t,” he said and stood up. He started tiptoeing out of the guest room, he made sure the door didn’t make any sound and went toward the kitchen. His food was kept neatly in the microwave like she knew he would eat it. He microwaved it and started devouring the food. He breathed out in relief. He took down the food and checked the pot, the food was still remaining, he dishes it out and starts eating without microwaving it. He suddenly heard footsteps and turned off the kitchen light. He peered from the kitchen and saw Adelaide carrying a bottle of water from the refrigerator before going back back. He sighs in relief when he hears her door close. He quickly finished the food before going back to the guest room.

THE NEXT DAY
“Get in” Noah mutters coldly as he packs beside Adelaide, she has dressed up and is ready for her first day. She scurried to the back but the door is not opening so she went back to the front.
“So you want to enter the back seat and sit down like my boss?” He asked.
“No no” she said and sat beside him in the front. He didn’t spare her a glance before driving away.
“Noah” she called gently and he looked at her.
“Did you eat your food last night?” She asked.
“Which food?” He asked in pretense.
“I kept food for you last night but now it’s gone, I just think maybe you are the one?” She asked.
“I don’t know what you are talking about” he denied and increased the speed of the car. Adelaide smiled knowingly, she was just asking, she actually saw him last night.
“What’s so funny?” He asked.
“Nothing, am just wondering who the there is, maybe a big mouse” Adelaide said.
“Thief is a big word” Noah said as they drove into the complete. He came out cooly and put on his shade, he started catwalking into the complete. Adelaide was running after him because he is too fast.
“Good morning sir”
“Welcome sir”
“How was your weekend sir”
“How are you sir? ” the workers greeted as he walked past them but he ignored them all. Adelaide on the other hand was just bowing at everyone she made eye contact with and can see the curiosity in their eyes. They enter the elevator and murmur fills everywhere.
They arrived at the top floor and Adelaide almost fell down while coming out of the elevator.
“Be careful” Noah mutters and they get to the secretary’s office.
“This must be the new PA” Nancy smiled while looking at Adelaide from head to toe. She has a disgusted look on her face.
“How do you know about that?” Noah asked with raised eyebrows.
“The chairman (Mr Everest) has already informed me, I have prepared her office already “ she said pointing at a corner in her office. Adelaide bowed before going to her desk, Noah went to his office. Nancy sat down and stare at Adelaide who was looking confused, she was not happy about the fact that their is a new PA, she was sad when Noah get married but she still have a little hope, but now she won’t even see him again, she was told anything she want to give the boss must be sent through the PA. She packed a lot of files and went to Adelaide.
“You look kinda familiar, have we met somewhere?” She asked.
“I don’t think so,” Adelaide said.
“Okay then, you have to review this and submit it to the boss before the end of today, “ she said.
“All this?” Adelaide asked in surprise.
“Yeah or you can’t?” She asked with a frown.
“I…..I … .can” she said.
“Good then, I am waiting “ she said and went back to her seat. Adelaide focuses on the word immediately.

Delaney came into the class and the first thing she saw was Dalton, with the same girl she bullied the other day. They seem close and that is why she despises the girl, she almost ran mad when he carried her that day and now she was even touching his hair and he didn’t feel uncomfortable nor was he stopping her, she whispered something into his ear and he chuckled before pulling her cheeks. She touched her cheeks and he pecked her. Her head sparkles in anger, but it reaches its peak when he pecks her again. She walks toward them and drags the girl up by her hair then gives her a loud thunderous slap. All the students gasp in shock.
“Who do you think you are?” Delaney asked angrily.
“What did I do?” the girl asks but Delaney sends another slap to her face.
“You don’t talk when an Everests is talking, “ she yelled. The girl started crying while holding her aching cheek.
“What did you do that for?’ Dalton asked, seeing the tears on the girl’s face was driving him crazy.
“She deserves it for clinging to you” she said and Dalton almost slapped her but someone grabbed him arm, it was Fransisco.
“Please don’t do that, it may get you in trouble,” he said.
“The bitch deserves it, I am tired of the way she will always bully my sister, I feel like beating the hell out of her” Dalton shouted loudly.
The student started murmuring, no one knew that Dalton was related to the girl.
“Delaney, what you are doing to the girl isn’t fear, you are acting like a weirdo” Fransisco said but also received a slap from her.
“Don’t even think you can lecture me” she said and looked at Dalton before leaving.
“I am so sorry, she is not always like this,” Autumn said.
“Why did you always apologize for everything she does?” the girl asked, finally cleaning her tears.
“Cause she is my sister “ Autumn smiles.
“I don’t think she actually sees you like a sister though” Stacy said but Autumn didn’t respond.
“How about you hang out with us, we are looking for a third party in our friendship” Autumn asked the girl.
“I will love that,” the girl smiled.
“So what’s your name?” Stacy asked.
“Brielle,” she said.
“We will become the hottest friends” Autumn yelled as they found somewhere to sit. Francisco was looking at the door, he was worried about Delaney and was tempted to look for her but changed his mind, she didn’t want to see him. He saw four boys dragging a boy away and he smirked.
“Seems like some people will be getting the beating of their life today” he mutters and signals at Dalton, they both went out of the class. Autumn, who has been watching him the whole time, smiles to herself.

Adelaide yawned tirelessly, her finger was hurting from too much flipping of books, her eyes were heavy too and she started dozing off but was still trying to do her work. She looks at the files and sighs, it doesn’t even look like she has touched it yet, she is going through the fifth one and she was this tired.
“You have a few more hours to go” Nancy snapped and she quickly woke up from her sleep. The door opened and Mr Everest came in immediately. The workers know he can just decide to come at any moment so they always do their work well and if he catches any lazy person, the person will be fired.
“Good afternoon chairman” Nancy smiles, she has always try to get on his good side so that it would be easy to marry his son.
“What are these?” Mr Everest asked while looking at the files which was Adelaide’s table. He ignores her greeting.
“I told her to review a few files,” Nancy said.
“Few files? Do you mean this are few? Who used to do this when she wasn’t around?” Mr Everest asked.
“I am the one, sir” Nancy replied.
“Then continue doing your work, she is your boss not the other way round, you don’t have the right to do this to her” Mr Everest said, he was really angry.
“I am sorry sir” she mutters gently.
“Apologize to her, not me,” Mr Everest said.
“I am sorry Miss Adelaide” Nancy muttered angrily. Ade wanted to correct her that it is Mrs but just changed her mind.
“You, follow me,” Mr Everest said and went. Adelaide bowed before going into the office with him.
“What the hell, I hate that lady,” Nancy said bitterly.

“Why is she in your secretary’s office?” Mr Everest asked immediately they get to Noah’s office.
“And where is she supposed to be?” He asked with raised eyebrows.
“Your office of course, how are you going to share ideas if she is in another office, and your secretary was bullying her too?”Mr Everest said. Noah looked at Adelaide but she was looking at the ground.
“She is a great actress, “ he muttered with a scoff.
“I will call the guards now, they will bring something comfortable to set her office” Mr Everest said and bring out his phone. Within thirty minutes,the office was set, Mr Everest even bought something like the vending machine with ice cream and snacks machine too.
“Take care of yourself daughter” he said and ignored Noah totally before leaving.
“Is he really my father?” Noah scoffed and looked toward Adelaide but she was already asleep.
“She must really be tired” he muttered and stood up, he went toward her seat and stared at her face.
“You must be a witch because I don’t know how you make my dad love you this much, he didn’t even think of buying a vending machine for me but see he bought everything for you” he said and rolled his eyes.
Adelaide adjusted her head and he chuckled when he saw her pouty lip.
“Why is she doing that?” he muttered and removed the hair that was covering her face.
“Look at her nose, so small and cute, she looks like a barbie with her long lashes, she has a round face” he said and touched her nose with a finger.
“She is kinda cute” he muttered and poke her nose. She suddenly opened her eyes and looked at him. He stood rooted at the spot with his finger still poking her nose.
