Later at the canteen, Nina was looking morosely as she barely touched her food, the words of Mrs Judith were still echoing in her head.
“Is everything ok?”. Aurora asked seeing how sad she looked and Nina sighed.
” I don’t think all will be fine”. She said and Aurora was confused.
“Why did you say that?”.
” Something usual happened this morning on my way to work”.
“What happened?”.
” I had an encounter with Richard’s mother”. She said.
“What? I don’t understand”.
” She came to my house this morning to warn me against her son”.
“How do you mean? How do you know is his mother and why will she warn you against her son?”.
” Honesty Aurora, I don’t know, she made it sound and clear to me to leave her son alone or else she won’t be so nice to me if she sees us together”.
“That’s weird, Do you know her before?”.
“No, this is the first time I am seeing her, I know she is not his biological mother, but she trained him”.
” Why will she ask you to stay away, when you don’t have anything against her or her son”.
“I don’t know, am so confused”.
” Will you tell Richard about it?”.
“No, that will be the last thing I will do, we are not dating, we are just mutual friends “. She sighed.” I don’t want to cause a beef between him and his mother and please don’t tell Alex too”.
“I won’t, but not to worry, everything will be fine”.
” Sure”. They smile and continue eating. Her cell phone beeped with an incoming message, she glanced through it and was shocked.
“What?”. Aurora asked seeing her surprised look.
” Richard just texted me, asking to be his guest at his family dinner this weekend”.
“Really? That is nice, I guess he is starting to like you”. Aurora said smiling
” I can’t go Aurora”.
“Why?”.
” His mother’s warning, remember”.
“oh come on, I guess she meant no harm, maybe she just mistook you with someone else, so, don’t let it bother you”.
” Are you sure?”.
“Yes”. She said and Nina sighed.

Nora was on the phone with her mother.
📞 ” Yes mother, everything is fine here”.She said smiling.”Yeah, the baby is fine as well”.There was a pause.”Really? This weekend? I thought Alex’s mother would be having a masquerade party”. There was a pause.”Oh, it has been postponed? I didn’t know”. She said.”Okay, Mom, Alex, and I will be there for dinner”. She smiles.”Bye”. She hung up and sighed.
“Ma, here is the juice”. Kate said as she placed the glass of juice on the table and returned to the kitchen.

Later in the day, Alex and Nora were having their dinner together.
“Um, Alex”. She called.
” Mm,”.he replied.
“Will you be busy this weekend?”.
” Not really, is there a problem?”.
“No, my mom is inviting us for the family dinner this weekend”.
” Oh”.
“Yeah, please can you come?”.
” Um, ok”.
“Thank you”. She smiles and continues her meal.

Saturday morning, Nina came out with some trash and was walking to the trash can when suddenly she got attacked from behind.
” You ungrateful girl, I finally caught you”. Mrs. Bianca said as she got hold of Nina’s shirt dragging her along. Nina was surprised to see her.
“Aunt? What are you doing? Let go of me”. She said struggling with her, soon the neighbors gathered around wondering what was going on.
” You thought I would never find you, you would pay for what you have done”. She said angrily and hit her on her face.
“Aunt please, stop! You are embarrassing me “. She pleaded trying to struggle out of her hand and her face started bleeding.
” You put my husband to jail and you have the nerve to be walking freely “. She grabs her tight.” I will make sure, I ruin your life”.
“Let me go!”. She sobs and then the security man around the area came and separated them. Nina rushed inside shutting the door against her.
” come out! You slut! You will pay for what you did to my husband, I will make you pay”. She yelled and released her hands from the security man.” I will be back”. She walked away and the people around started to murmur.
🗣”Did she steal her husband?”.
👤”I guess so”.
🗣”Well, nemesis has caught up with her, what a shame”.
Nina was in her room sobbing quietly as her hair got messy and as well bleeding on her face.
“I did nothing wrong”. She sob. ” Why won’t they just leave me alone”. She squeezes on the bed and continues sobbing.

Later in the evening, she was dressed to go to the family dinner with Richard. She wore a simple gown and covered her eyes with a dark shaded glass, so no one could notice the wound beneath her eyes. She rushed outside immediately after she heard Richard’s car horn.
“Why are you on shaded glass?”. Richard asked immediately she entered the car.
“Um, nothing, I just feel like wearing one”. She said smiling forcedly.
” Really? But I prefer you being with no glasses”. He said smiling and Nina stared at him.”Your eyes look pretty”.
“Thank you”. She said bashfully as she turned her face to the road.
Richard continued to gaze at her and then he took off the glasses unaware. Nina hides her face quickly.
” What happened to you?”. He asked curiously.
“Nothing”. She sputtered nervously.
” Nina”. He called and turned her face to his.”Who did this to you? Where you attack?”.
“No, it was an accident, I slipped and fell hitting my face on the floor”.
” Oh my, am so sorry, we should go to the hospital”.
“No, there is no need for that, is just a minor injury”. She said.
” But it looks bad, it doesn’t suit your pretty face”. he said and Nina blushed.”Let’s do something about this”. he started the car and drove by to near pharmacy.
Nina was in the car waiting as he rushed to get some equipment to treat the wound, after a while, he came back and started to treat the wound.
“Ouch!”. She groans in pain.
” Am sorry”. he finished applying the treatment and placed a little bandage on the wound.
“Thank you”.
” You are always welcome, so shall we?”. he asked and Nina nodded. he started the car and zoomed off.

••MR WILSON MANSION••
An hour later, they arrived at the building and Nina was amazed.
“Wow, this is beautiful”. Nina said as they came down from the car.
” Let’s go in everyone will be so happy to see you”. he said.
“Okay”.
Meanwhile, everyone was waiting in the dining for Richard and the guest he said he was bringing, except their mother, who wasn’t at the dining table.
” What’s keeping them, am starving”. Angel groans.
“I can’t wait to see who this special guest is”. Ella said excitedly.
” There they are”. Juliana said immediately she saw them walk in. They rushed to them happily.
Nina and Ella stare surprisedly at each other.
“Your face looks familiar”. Ella said.
” Yeah, she is the lady at the movie center that night”. Richard said.
“Oh, nice to meet you, am Ella”. She introduced herself smiling and Nina smiled back nervously.
” And I am Juliana”.
“Angel”. She smiled.
“Please to meet you all, am Nina”.
“These are my sisters”. Richard said.
” And their dad”.Mr. Wilson interrupted them as he moved closer and gave Nina a warm hug.”You are welcome dear”.
“Thank you, sir”. She said nervously.
” Please call me Wilson”. he said and they laughed.
“You are so beautiful, but what happened to your face?”. Juliana asked curiously.
” Hmm, it was a little accident”.
“Was my son driving carelessly?”. Mr Wilson asked staring angrily at Richard.
” No Dad”. Richard said trying to defend himself.
“No, he didn’t, this happens at home”. Nina said.
” Oh, sorry to hear that, but are you okay?”. Ella asked.
“Yes”.
” You still look beautiful”. Angel said.
“Thank you, you are more beautiful”. Nina said.
” Come on let go to the dining”. Angel said as she took Nina’s hand and walked away with her sisters.
“I think I like her already”. Mr Wilson whispered to his son and left to join them in the dining room. Richard smiled and then left for the dining.
” Where is Mom?”. Richard asked.
“On the phone with a friend, she will join us soon”. Juliana said.
Meanwhile, Mrs. Judith was in her bedroom and was on the phone with Bianca.
📞” Yeah, I warned her and I know she will never come close to my son again”. She said on the phone. “Hope you taught her a lesson?”. There was a pause and she laughed. ” Good, continue to torture her, I can’t believe she will do such a thing with her innocent face, I wish never to see her again”. There was a pause.”What are friends for, anyway, I will talk to you later, we are having a family dinner and my son is coming with a guest, I guess they are here now, bye”. She hung up and sighed.
Everyone started eating and chatting, and then Mrs Judith came down.
“I am sorry I–“. She held her words immediately she made eye contact with Nina. Nina became nervous and bowed her head to her food.
” Mom, what took you so long?”. Ella asked.
“Am sorry, the call took long”. She sat down still staring at Nina.
” Mom, this is Big Brother guest, isn’t she beautiful?”. Juliana asked smiling and Mrs. Judith smiled forcedly.
“Yeah, I guess so”.
” Let’s eat”.Mr Wilson said and they resumed their meal.
Nina became anxious at the hard look Mrs. Judith was giving, she found it difficult to swallow her food and Richard noticed her mood.
“Are you ok?”. He asked and Nina stared at him and nodded.
” Hope you are enjoying your meal dear?”. Mr. Wilson asked smiling.
“Yes”. She replied and they continued eating.
