Richard wondered why Nina didn’t reply to his message, he noticed for days, that she hadn’t been taking his calls or replying to his messages.
Meanwhile, Nina was returning home from the supermarket, just then, her cell phone rang, she hesitated to pick up after seeing the caller ID.
“Why is he calling again?”. She sighed.” What should I do now?”. She wonders and the phone continues ringing, then she turns off her phone.”Am sorry My Prince Charming, I hope you understand one day why I am ignoring you”. She sighed and continued walking, Immediately she stopped to see her aunty standing in front of her apartment, obviously, waiting for her. “Why is she here again?”. She panicked.”what should I do now? she probably stalking me”. She said and hid staring at her.
Then the security man came to approach Mrs.Bianca.
👨✈️” Are you looking for someone, Ms?”.
“Um, yeah, am waiting for my niece”. She replied.
👨✈️” Your niece? Does she stay around this neighborhood?”.
“Yes, in this apartment”.
👨✈️ ” Ok, have you called her to know that you are here?”.
“Not to worry, I will come back next time”. She walks away and the security man stares after her before he leaves for his duty post.
Nina sighed in relief and then rushed to her apartment, she unlocked the door quickly and shut the door.
” That was close”. She sighs.

••ALEXANDER OFFICE ••
The next morning, Aurora and the rest staff came outside the company to wait for Alex’s arrival. They assembled themselves and then Alex’s car drove in and Aurora opened the car for him as he came down and they went inside. They got into the elevator.
“How are you feeling?”. Aurora asked.
” Why didn’t you come as you have promised?”. He asked.
“Um, am sorry, I…”. She sighed.” My grandmother fell ill and I had to rush her to the hospital”. She said and Alex turned to her.
“Why didn’t you tell me? But, is she ok?”. He asked.
” Yes, she is back on her feet, the reason why I didn’t tell you is that I don’t want you to think I am making excuses”.
“Of course not, I will never think like that, I was even worried and I thought something as happened to you”.
” Am sorry”. She hugs him tight.”I won’t stand you up again”.
“Really?” He caressed her face.” So, what punishment should I give you for turning me down?”.
“You can do whatever you want with me, am all yours”. She smiled and they kissed.
The elevator stopped at his office and they went inside shutting the door. Alex helped her up to sit on his desk.
” Are you wearing any underwear?”. He asked seductively in her ear.
“Why don’t you find out yourself”. She replied as Alex slid his hand under her fitted gown and she gasped.
” Hmm, I like it when you don’t have underwear on, it turns me on”. He said and clashed his lips on her as he began to work wonders on her crotch making her shiver.
“Ahh…mhm”. She moans between kisses and then he breaks out from it as he spaces her legs and bends in between.
” You smell nice down there”. He said.
“Ohh”. She gasped as he felt his mouth on her crotch and held the edge of the table tight to prevent her from moaning out loud.” oh, gosh”.
Meanwhile, Nina was in her office working on her laptop when her cell phone rang, she smiled as she saw the caller ID.
📞”Hello Mom”. She said as she picked it up smiling.”Am fine and you?”. There was a pause.”Yes, Mom, everything is fine over here, am so happy to hear your voice”. She smiles.”Where is Dad? He is not around?”. There was a pause.”Oh, he left for his farm, that’s good by the way “. She laughs.” I miss you, but, not to worry, I will find a day to come spend some time with you and Dad”. There was a pause.”Ok then, say hi to Dad for me, love you “. She hung up smiling.
” Was that your Mom?”.Kessy asked as she came over with some files.
“Yeah”.
” How is she?”.
“She is fine, she just called to check up on me”.
” That’s good to hear, anyway, catch up with you later, I need to make a photocopy of this”.Kessy said and walked away.
Later at the canteen, Aurora was smiling to herself while eating and didn’t notice Nina’s mode yet, then she looked at her to see her not eating her meal but looking sober.
“Is everything ok, Nina? You look paled”. She asked and Nina sighed sadly and tears filled her eyes and she was trying to control them so as not to fall.”Nina”. She stood up from her seat to hers and started consoling her by patting her head on her shoulder.” Why are you crying?”.
After a while, they came to the last floor of the building where no one could see them.
“Am sorry I didn’t tell you earlier”. Nina said sniffing.
” Tell me what?”.
“I got stalked by my uncle’s wife “.
” What? Why?”.
“Some days back, she attacked me at my house and started raining abusive insults at me, she said I lied against her husband and that I am responsible for everything”. She sobs.
” Nina! Why didn’t you tell me, was she the one responsible for the injury I saw on your face?”. She asked and Nina nodded.”Oh gosh, Nina, why did you lie when I asked you and you said you fell hitting your face on the floor”.
“Just don’t want you to feel worried”.
” Seriously, you think I am not worried, we are more like sisters and we share things together, you shouldn’t have lied to me “.
” Am sorry”.
“Don’t be sorry”. she sighs.”For how long now?”.
” Almost a week now, she kept coming to my house to look for me, but I had to hide each time I came across her “.
” You should have reported her to the police”.She sighed tiredly. “Did you tell Richard about it when you went to his family dinner with that face?”.
” No, I didn’t, but he asked and I have to lie to him”.
“Is okay”. She patted her shoulder” Now, that you have told me, I won’t let her come close to you again”. She reassures her.
“Ok”. She sniffs and then her cell phone rings and she ignores the caller as she notices who is calling.
” Why are you ignoring Richard’s calls?”.
“I don’t want to”.
” Why?”.
“I got a threat from his mother at the family dinner he invited me to, she warned me seriously to stay away from her son otherwise she will disfigure my face with acids “.
” What? She said that?”. She asked surprisedly and Nina nodded. “Oh come on, that’s pure wickedness, why are some mothers against their own son’s happiness, is not as if you two are in a relationship yet, why is she so mean?”.
” I don’t want any more problems, I haven’t had enough from my uncle’s wife, and now Richard’s mother, I even tried to let her know that nothing is going on between her son and me”.
“This is not good, but if you keep ignoring Richard’s calls like this, he will definitely ask why when he sees you”.
” That’s why I am avoiding him, I saw him yesterday stalking around my house, but I had to ignore him”.
“You can’t keep ignoring him, you will have to tell him the truth”.
” No Aurora, I can’t, it might cause a beef between him and his mother and that is the last thing I want”.
“So, what are you going to do?”.
” Keep ignoring him until he gets tired and walks away”.
“You think that will work?”.
” I hope so, although I once ignored a guy before, he kept asking me out, I ignored him, and when he got tired of chasing me, he walked away”.
“And you think that of Richard?”.
” I just hope so”.
“Gosh! Why are we so unfortunate in love”. Aurora sighed sadly. ” But I definitely know that someday, all these will be over and we will live happily ever after”. She added.
“Me too”. They smiled and sighed.

Later in the day, Alex and Richard went out for a drink at the bar.
” Why are you looking lonely?”Alex asked and Richard sighed.”Is everything ok?”.
“Yeah, but I am worried”. Richard said as he gulped his drink.
” Worry about what? Are you having crises in your company?”.
“No, no, far from that, is about Nina”. he sighed.” Since the dinner at my family place, she has refused to answer my calls or texts”.
“Why? Did something happen?”.
” None I can remember, we were actually cool for a while and now it feels like she is shutting me out”. He said.
“Why didn’t you go to her house and—” he got interrupted.
“I did, but…”. He sighed.” I guess she doesn’t want to see me, but I just hope everything is fine with her”. He gulped his drink and Alex examined him for a while.
“Are you crushing on her?”. He asked and Richard sighed as he continued with his drink.”You do have feelings for her, hmm, that is good, I guess you should tell her as fast as possible”. He sipped from his drink.” How about you come to my office tomorrow and I will invite her so that you two can talk things out”. He said and Richard stared at him.
