AURORA POV
It had been two days since Nora and Mrs. Stella left the house and I kept blaming myself for all that happened, and I hated to see him and his mother having an issue because of me. I tried asking him to make peace with his mother, but he proved stubborn and asked me not to worry about anything, but I kept fighting the guilt inside me. just then I heard a doorbell, I rushed to open the door I was surprised to see an old man looking handsome despite having wrinkles on his face.
“Good Day, sir”. I greeted him cheerfully and he smiled at me.
” Good day to you too beautiful lady”. He replied and I let him in, he sat down on the couch resting his hand on his walking stick, and I rushed to the kitchen to get him a glass of water.
“Here you go, sir”. I gave the water to him, and he drank from it and handed over the glass to you.
” Thank you, that was refreshing”. he smiles.
“You are welcome sir”.
” When is my grandson coming back from the office?”. He asked and I quickly recall he was referring to my boss.
“Later in the evening sir, do you want me to fix you something to eat?”. I asked politely.
” Sure, anything will be better”.
“Ok sir, I will be right back”. I left to the kitchen to continue with what I was cooking.
Some minutes later, I dished the food on the dining table and called him to come and eat, he came to the dining and sat down.
” Hmm, this looks delicious”. he said and took a scoop of the meal to his mouth.”Nice, you are a good cook dear”.he complimented and I smiled.
“Thank you, sir”.
” You are welcome, join me”. he offers.
“No sir, I have mine in the kitchen, the food is all yours”.
” Ok, if you say so”.
“Sure, excuse me”. I went back to the kitchen to continue with what I was doing.
A few hours later, he asked me to sit with him in the dining, we started talking and laughing, he is a jovial man and a very kind one at that, I was so free with him that I could tell him all my problems, then we got interrupted.
” Grandpa!”. he called happily from behind and we turned in his direction. he rushed to him and they hugged each other tightly and stood up and excused them.

ALEXANDER POV
I couldn’t be happier to see my grandfather, It had been months since I last saw him, and after hugging him for a while we pulled away from each other arms and sat down.
“How have you been?”. he asked.
” Great! You?”.
“Am good, even if you don’t come over to check up on me”.
” Don’t talk like that, you know I promise to come see you”.
“Yeah, for over a month now”. he said.
” Am sorry”.
“Is okay, you are my favorite grandson and I can’t get mad at you for anything “.
” Thanks”.
“So, who is she?”. he asked grinning.
” Who?”.
“The young lady, she is very pretty and humble, so, tell me, is she the one?”.
” Come on grandfather, she is my employee, she works for me”.I replied knowing fully well what he meant.
“But she doesn’t look like one”.
” Meaning?”.
“Come on son, don’t play pretense with me, I know you like her”.
” Stop grandfather, is that why you are here?”.
“Not really”.
” Then why do you come?”.
“Are you trying to change the topic?”. he chuckles. ” Ok fine, I came because of your mother”.
“I know”.
“She is really devastated”.
” She did that to herself”.
“I know, you know your mother can be stubborn sometimes, you need to come over and see her”.
” I am not going, Mom, cross her boundaries this time, she can’t come to my house and start telling me what to do”.
“I know, but she is your mother, she has learned her mistake, she barely eats, and she wants to see you”. he said and I sighed tiredly.
” Fine! I will see her tomorrow”.
“I knew you could do it”. he smiled.
” Only because you came”. we laughed.
“So, back to the girl”. he said and I groaned.
” Seriously grandfather”.
“Come on son, I like her, she will make a good partner”. he said and I stood up to leave.
” I need to freshen up”.
“You can’t hide from the truth”. he voices out and I leave for my room.

After my grandfather came to talk to me about my mother, I had to go see her and settle things with her and she promised never to pressure me on something, and, it was settled and we continued our normal lives.
Another week passed, and I was getting dressed in my room when I heard a knock on my door, I asked the person to come in and she walked in, her presence in my room said something and I knew why she had come, the month has ended and its time to go, I suddenly feel that I shouldn’t let her go, I have gotten used to her leaving with me.
” Is there something you need?”. I asked staring straight into her eyes.
“No sir, I just came to let you know that I will be leaving today”. She said nervously and I felt sad.
“I know, but can’t you wait till I get back?”.
” No sir”. She said.
“Ok”. I went to my drawer and brought out a brown envelope and moved to her.” Have this”. She took it from me confusedly.
“What’s this sir?”. She asked curiously.
” Why not take a look”.
She sighed and opened the envelope, she was surprised it was a cheque I had written for her, she looked at me confusedly.
“What’s this for?”.
” For your service to me”. I replied.
“But I thought we agreed, we made I deal that works for you in a month to pay up my debt that I owe you”.
” I know, but I just wanted you to have it for the trouble my mother caused you “.
” I don’t need it, sir, your mother didn’t cause me any trouble, I can’t take it, if I take this money it will be like I am still indebted to you”. She declined and I pulled closer to her closing the gap between us.
“You are not indebted to me anymore”. I sighed and we got interlocked in each other eyes.” Don’t reject the money from me, is my little token to you”. I added and my eyes never left hers.
“I…”
I didn’t let her finish her words as I locked lips with her quickly, I don’t know what pushed me into claiming her lips, but I was too intoxicated to kiss those sexily pink lips, I couldn’t hold it anymore, the more I tried to hold myself the more I couldn’t help it. her lips were soft and luxurious as my lips brushed hers, softly, delicately, like butterfly wings, just long enough that I could inhale her breath, feel the warmth of her skin, and the taste of her lipstick lingered and I wanted more, I pulled slowly away from her and we were gaping for air.
“Am sorry”. I apologize, seeing how dumbfounded she looked.” I didn’t mean to…” I didn’t finish my words before she dashed out of my room quickly.”Gosh! Why did I do that”. I sighed frustratedly.

AURORA POV
I rushed to my room trying to keep my heart from beating fast, I was shocked when I felt his lips on mine, it was smooth and tender, and I suddenly felt a butterfly in my stomach and it was like time stands still, my heart rate increases, my palm get sweaty.
“Come on Aurora, don’t think it, is not as if is the first time you have been kissed by someone, just let it go”. I sighed and started to arrange my belongings.

NARRATOR POV
Alexander was swinging around his chair thinking about the kiss earlier at home, he couldn’t get his head straight as he kept yawning at it, he was so lost in thought and he didn’t know when Richard entered his office jerking him up from his thoughts.
” Are you okay? You look lost”. he asked.
“Am fine”. he said and sat upright on the chair.
” Are you sure?”.
“Yeah”.
” You don’t look like one, are you having issues with your mother again?”.
“No, is nothing”. he replied.
” Okay, if you say so, but anyway, I just came to let you know that I will be having my dinner at your place tonight, I can’t wait to taste her meal again “. he said happily and Alexander scoffed.
” Don’t bother, she no longer cooks for me again”.
“Why?”.
” Because our one-month deal ended yesterday, so she has left”.
“Oh, now I see why you were sad, you missed her, right?”. he teased.
” I don’t know what you are talking about”.
“Really? you know what I am talking about, you are like this because you are going to miss her, you have gotten used to eating her meal every day and even seeing her face around, so, now that she left, how are you going to cope?”.
” Stop saying nonsense, would you?”.
“You know, I am always right”.he chuckled and Alexander sighed tiredly at him.

Later in the evening, Alexander drove home with Richard, they walked inside and noticed the whole place was calm, Alexander let out a sigh and his eyes caught sight of a note on the dining table. he picked up the note and read it.
”I LEFT YOUR DINNER IN THE MICROWAVE”.
” Aww! I know she will never go without preparing your dinner, so let me go and get some for myself”.Richard said and left for the kitchen.”Do you want me to dish you some?”. he asked from the kitchen.
“No, am not hungry”. Alexander replied and climbed the staircase heading to his room. Richard came out and stared confusedly at him.
” If you know you miss her already, is not too late to bring her back”. He voiced out but Alexander ignored him as he shut the door against himself.”He sure does miss her, but he is just being stubborn “. He sighed and went back to the kitchen.
