Hospital Ward:

Romulus stared at his daughter as if she had grown two heads and then finally shook his head in disbelief.

“What is wrong with you Viva? Are you slowly going nuts or where you’d stayed for the past fifteen years contributed to this madness, right?”

Viva chuckled. “Dad, you won’t understand. You are not in my head and heart, but don’t worry, everything good will happen to me.” She told him.

“Is it until you die or your skin is damaged completely before that brain of yours tells you it’s enough.” Romulus tried not to raise his voice at her, they were in the hospital and not his home.

“It’s my life and I am not dying.” Viva retorted.

“Viva, please, stop while it is still early. You are my only child, my only daughter and I don’t want to lose you, leave the Wilderwoods alone, they are not the only handsome men in the world. You will find guys more cuter than the men in that family.” Romulus told his daughter.

“I don’t need any negativity around me Dad, please leave right now.”

“What happened?” Rozralas asks again when she sees that Lia hasn’t told her yet, rather she has a dreamy look on her face.

“I just met Vlad.” Lia finally told her.

Rozralas rolled up her eyes. “Wait, you got that dreamy look because of that handsome Vampire?” she asked.

“Don’t judge me yet Rozralas.” Lia began but Rozralas Interrupted her.

“I haven’t judged you yet.” Rozralas shrugged.

“Okay, I have had a crush on Vlad for as long as I can remember and him telling me he loves me today seems like a dream come true.” Lia told her.

“So one of the hot brothers told you he loves you?”

“Yes.” Lia replied in excitement.

“And what did you say to that?” Rozralas uttered.

“I ran away and came just right here.” Lia answered without hesitation.

“Let me get this straight, you said you had a crush on him, a very mad crush, right?” Rozralas asked.

“Yes, you know I am below his status and that is what scares me the most. It is one of the reasons I haven’t even gone to meet him and tell him about my feelings.” Lia answered.

“Look Lia, don’t forget the main reason why you are here and at the same time you shouldn’t have run away from the handsome Vampire when he confessed his feelings to you, to him, it seems as if you reject him.” Rozralas told her.

“I didn’t know what to say hence my running away. And I wasn’t rejecting him, I was just speechless you know, someone who you have had a crush on so hard these years just suddenly walked up to you to confess about his love.

No wonder he has been looking at me in a different way ever since that night.” Lia said with a dreamy faraway look.

“What night?” Rozralas’ brows shot up.

“The night we came to take Hiro. He didn’t even try to fight me, he was just staring at me. I now understand why he was staring at me.” Lia said and sighed out in bliss.

“You are one lucky girl.” Rozralas smiled a little.

Lia smiles at that. “What did Hiro come to tell you?” She asked her changing the topic.

“You know the drills, he came to warn me.” Rozralas replied.

“About Viva? I thought he liked you or did he like that annoying wolf girl?”

“Hey slow down Lia, don’t jump into conclusion yet,” Rozralas said, the one side of her lips lifted up with a grin. “He told me I shouldn’t have cut off her finger, I should have beaten her to a pulp instead of giving her an everlasting cut.” she added.

“I think he doesn’t know who you are yet, hell, they all don’t even know who you are. They think you are just a demon and a half angel, if you hadn’t told them that you are half angel,.they would still be thinking you are a full blooded demon.” Lia said.

“I told them because I needed them to know a bit about me.” Rozralas said. “But nevertheless the day of the Equinox is almost upon us and we haven’t even reached our targets yet.”

“Targets? You mean there are two of them? I thought we were only here to capture Hiro or use his mother to get to him.” Lia said, staring at Rozralas as her face grew suspicious. “What are you not telling me?”
