Annalise was shocked at first but she soon smiled, he was happy, he was very happy, it was written all over his face, she hadn’t seen him this happy, that made jealousy creep in
“Wait hubby, you look really happy” she said
“The best surprise ever, if this is one” Zane replied
“I haven’t seen you this happy since we got married, is it the baby that’s the reason?” She asked
Zane immediately she was going
“Uhh… The fact that you’re the one carrying my baby is the reason I’m happy” Zane replied and she frowned
“We’re you expecting someone else to?”
“No… Uhh …” Zane stuttered, he was short of words
“It’s okay, I understand you” she said smiling all of a sudden and Zane flinched at the sudden swap of mood
“Are you hungry?, I hope you didn’t stress yourself in the hospital?”
“Hehe, no I absolutely did not chase a thief that stole my purse” she said chuckling
“Lisa” Zane called frowning
“Hmmm?”
“Did you chase a thief that stole your purse?”
“I just say I did not”
“Are you sure?, Cos you just said it yourself”
“That mother fucker stile my purse” she yelled angrily
“What was inside?”
“Nothing but my card”
“Why didn’t you let it go?” He asked
“I couldn’t” she replied biting her lips looking down
“You’re pregnant Lisa, you can’t just go around chasing some thief that stole your purse” Zane scolded
“I just said I couldn’t let it go, why are you yelling at me?” She asked at the verge of tears and Zane’s jaw literally dropped in shock
Was she about to cry?, He didn’t even raise his voice
“Alright, I’m sorry babe, I’m sorry for yelling I’m sorry” he cooed and she hiccuped in tears
“You said I shouldn’t have chased the thief”
“You did the right thing by chasing him, you’re a good girl for chasing that thief” he said again gently and hugged her
She held his shirt still hugging him
“I want ice cream and a large bowl of spaghetti” she said
“I want chicken and meat balls too” she added
“Chicken and meatballs?”
“Yes and also Chinese rice, strictly from a Chinese restaurant” she replied
“I’ll tell Cindy to get them for you” he said and led her into the elevator sucking on a lollipop Zane hadn’t noticed until now
“Where did you get that?”
“I had it in my purse, that was the main reason I chased that id!ot”
