He slammed his lips on her without much hesitation, he just couldn’t control the urge to take those tempting lips of hers in his mouth. Karen’s eyes bulged out in shock, for a minute, she couldn’t process what was going on. She pressed her lips against each other.
Andrew bit her bottom lips gently and that made her open up to him. His tongue explored deep into her mouth and she couldn’t help but respond to the kiss. She raised her hand to his neck, pulling him closer to her. She wasn’t a good kisser but she wasn’t doing that bad either. She closed her eyes gently going with the flow.
He suddenly broke the kiss which made her open her eyes. She narrowed her gaze at him, wondering why he stopped. To be honest, she was enjoying the kiss, strangely her body wanted more.
“I’m sorry” He apologized moving away from her. She could feel her heart shattering once again.
“That was a mis…..
“Mistake?” She completed it for him. She paused on her words, shutting her eyes tightly against each other.
“You are hurting me, you know. I don’t know why but your words just seem to pierce deep into my heart every single time. Why are you this cruel? Just why? Why must you say harsh words everytime? I am a human too! I have feelings! What was I expecting? After all, I agreed to your marriage request cheeply…… I am the cheep one here and as you said, this is a mistake that shouldn’t have happened” Karen said at the brink of tears. She stood up from the edge of the pool, dragging her shivering body inside the house.
Andrew stared at her retracting backview with his usual cold and expressionless face. He sighed deeply before diving into the pool once more.

Karen shut the door behind her as soon as she entered her room. She squatted on the floor, leaning her back against the door. The tears she had been holding the whole time flowed freely down her both cheeks.
“What if he takes you as a mistake too?” She asked no one in particular, rubbing her hand on her stomach.
“This is too much for me” She added sobbing almost quietly. Everything just seem crashing down on her, it has pressed upon her shoulders that she can’t bear the weight of it anymore. She needed a shoulder to lean on, someone to cry to.
“I’m just tired” She mumbled, shutting her both eyes closed.

~MORNING_ LAVENDER MANSION~
“Get the investors seated okay? I’ll be there soon, just try to stall time for me okay?” Andrew said into the phone as he rushed down the stairs. His tie was undone and his hair was dishelved too.
For the first time in years, he woke up late. Andrew has always been the purpose driven and focused type.
A slight frown creased his forehead as he met an empty dinning table. Strangely, he was expecting Karen to be at the dinning table, setting his meal and then greeting him with a smile plastered on her face.
He paused for a while, thinking hard. He meant to climb up the stairs when his phone rang loudly. It was from Redford, he picked it up almost immediately.
“You should get here as fast as you can” Redford said, urgency was laced in his voice.
“I’ll be there soon” Andrew answered before going out finally, not without giving the stairs a last glance.

~SEVEN’ S APARTMENT~
Yasmine quickly dropped the phone as Seven stepped out of the kitchen with a tray containing a glass of orange juice in his hand. She had been trying hard to get his phone and successfully delete the s*x tape but all to no avail.
“You are done so soon” She forced a smile sitting up on the couch.
“I guess, I was missing your pretty face in the kitchen” Seven replied handing the glass of orange juice to her from which she took a sip.
“Taste nice” She said before proceeding to empty the rest of the content. Seven opened his hand side and she reluctantly moved into him. She was now wrapped in his hold.
“Babe, you love me right?” She asked out of the blues.
“Yes…..” Seven answered sounding unsure, he does not know where she was driving at.
“Of you love me as you claim, don’t you think you should use my name as your password? The door passcode, your phone password. Just everything” She said with a cute pout.
“Alright babe, I’ll do just that okay?” He replied giving her a light peck on her lips.
“I love you so much, don’t ever doubt that okay?” He said stroking her hair fondly. A smile tugged at one corner of Yasmine’s lip as she snuggled closer to him.

~LANCELOT CONGLOMERATE~
The deal with the investors was finalized and the necessary documents were signed. And soon, they were done with the meeting.
“That was a great one” Redford said as soon as they stepped out of the conference hall. Luciana was following them closely from behind.
“That hurt my pride” Redford said, touching his chest dramatically.
“You should say thank you at least” He added with a sneer but Andrew didn’t even pay attention to him. Luciana smiled broadly, she was expecting the cold response from Andrew, typical him.
“Now…. would you tell me why you came late today? That’s unlike you” Redford continued talking.
“Or, you were working all night on the bed with your wife and you had to sleep in the early hours of the morning? Or you were waiting for breakfast to be served by her while playing all lovey dovey?” Redford teased him and that earned him a glare from Andrew.
“Get the necessary files to my office and make sure you laminate the deal” Andrew said to Luciana whose countenance had changed at the mention of “wife”
“Yes sir” She replied.

“I think that will be all sir” Luciana said with a smile.
“Alright, you can leave” He said coldly making her smile vanish as soon as they came. She turned her back to leave, not without making sure that her hips were swaying to both sides. Her dress did a great deal in bringing out her endowments.
“Miss Luciana” Andrew called and that made her halt right on her stpe with her hear skipping beats.
“Did he finally notice her?”
“He was looking at her @ss all through?”
“He got turned on, right?”
Several thoughts flashed through her head as she turned to face him with her eyes sparkling in excitement.
“Sir?” She called in a low voice, trying hard not to show her happiness.
“Is this how a secretary of a corporate form should dress? I’ve been noticing your dressing the whole time and then….. what’s up with all of these revealing clothes you suddenly started wearing?” He began rendering her speechless.
“And what you said the day before. It sounded very amusing to me, all lies. I went into my wife first, that I can attest to. Why are you doing all of these?”
“Sir…..
Luciana paused on her words, she had nothing to say. No word was forming, there was nothing she could use to defend herself.
“If you are actually thinking of seducing me, you should snap out of that thought. I have a wife and she is far better than this, just her eyes alone attracts me like a magnet. I would have fired you but I am not going to do that because…. you are a competent worker, hope I have made myself clear to you?” He added.
“Yes sir” She replied with so much difficulty, she clenched her both fists tightly trying to calm her nerves. Andrew gave her a deadpan look before going back to what he was doing.

Andrew furrowed his brows as he met an empty living room. He had grown to meeting Karen sprawling on the couch, probably as a result of waiting for him, she slept off.
He took the stairs and walked up to the door leading to her room. He meant to knock on the door but on a second thought, he took a deep breathe restraining himself.
Just as he meant to leave, his hand mistakenly hit the knob and the door opened widely. It was obviously not locked from the inside.
“Hello?” He called out but got no reply. He took a step into the room and what he saw got him panicking instantly.
Karen was lying down on the bed shivering with the duvet wrapped around her body. She eyes were closed but as he drew closed and on perceiving his scent, she could tell who it was already.
“Sir…..
Her teeth was clenching as she tried talking, tears slowly rolled down her closed eyes.

~8PM_FANCY RESTAURANT~
Kimora bit her bottom lips trying to stop herself from tearing up as she watched the time tickled slowly. She obviously got stood up again, her date didn’t show up as usual.
She brought out her phone and logged into the app, DON’T MARRY, DATE! She entered her chat room and she clicked on the texts between her and the blind date, wanting to confirm the time. They had agreed to meet by 7pm and it’s 8pm already, she had been waiting for close to an hour.
She scrolled through the texts she had sent already, from 7:20 till 8pm.
“I’m there already, where are you?”
“I’m waiting…..”
“Hello, are you there?”
“Stop viewing my messages without saying anything. Aren’t you coming?”
“Hello??”
All the texts showed that he has seen and read them but no reply came from him(her supposed blind date)
She dragged her weary body up, moving th3 the bar section of the restaurant. She took her seat in one of the high chairs present.
“A bottle of tequila” She commanded the bartender. Unknown to her, someone turned to look at her in surprise as soon as she said that.
“A whole bottle? Are you planning on drinking it alone or you have a partner?” Redford couldn’t help but ask.
Kimora raised her head to look at the person who just talked.
“He is breathtakingly hot” she screamed in her head, using her hand to dramatically fan the hotness that suddenly enveloped her.
“Would you be my partner then?” She said with a wink causing Redford to smile.
“As you wish” He replied.
Her orders came with two glasses and it was set before them. He filled up the glasses and they both drank from it. They continued doing that, drinking, drinking and drinking.
They were soon on the fifth bottle.
“You sure can hold your liquor well” Redford said to Kimora who was a little bit drunk. She belched loudly as she set the cup down for more liquor.
“A heartbroken lady would be able to do anything, handsome” She replied, tapping his cheek.
“You got dunped?” Redford pressed on further.
“Nope…. I got stood up, for the umpteenth time! I guess love is really not for me and I should stop trying at this point. Blind dating sucks” Kimora replied grabbing a bottle, she meant to pour the liquid in her glass cup but it was empty.
“One more bottle please” She commanded the bartender.
“Don’t you think you should stop now? You’ve had up to your limit obviously” He said taking the glass cup from her.
“I want to be loved too, is that too much for me to ask?” She turned to face Redford fully with a pouted lips.
“Of course not”
“Would you love me then?” she inquired further leaning more closer. Redford used his hand to push Kimora away.
“I can see you hate me too” She said trying to stand up. Her eyes made a spontaneous movement as they rolled backwards making her stagger. She maintained her balance for a while before walking away.
“Where are you going to?” Redford asked but he got to reply from Kimora who was just staggering off to a particular direction
“Hey!” He got down from his seat and went after her.

“Pretty” A man said holding drunk Kimora by her hand, he used his second hand to trail down her @ss. A mighty smirk appeared at one corner of his lips.
“Mind if we get a room?” He asked dragging her closer to himself.
“Who are you? The blind date who ditched me?” Kimora asked naively.
“Yeah” The man answered, raising her head up by her chin. He meant to kiss her but someone tapped him from behind.
Just as he turned with a frown to behold the intruder but he was greeted with a punch on his face.
“Bloody mother**ker!” Redford cussed.
“Huh? It’s Mr Handsome” Kimora called out excitedly. Redford let out a groan before carrying her in a bridal style, leading her out.

~LEWIS HOSPITAL~
Karen opened her eyes gently, it took a while before her eyes got adapted to the surroundings. On sensing she was in an unfamiliar place, she sprang up from the bed almost immediately.
The last thing she remembered was Andrew coming to her room before she blacked out.
She meant to disconnect the drip tubes connected to her body when the door opened. For a while, everything appears to be in slow mode as Andrew stepped in.
“Are you okay?” She heard his voice and that revive her back to reality. For while, it appears as if she was dreaming. Not even in her wildest dreams would she imagine Andrew asking her that.
She blinked her eyes rapidly, pinching herself and she felt pains in that spot.
“It’s true” She mumbled, taking her seat as her legs became weak immediately.
“I’m fine…. I’m sorry for the troubles I have caused you, I apologize” She said with a slight bow. She raised her head up and her eyes met with his ever cold and expressionless face. She swallowed into nothing feeling uncomfortable with his piercing gaze. If possible, his stares would have bored holes in her body.
“You are pregnant, right?” He asked and for a while, she could feel her heart stopped beating. Her eyes widened like they could pop out of their sockets.
“For me?” He added, more like a question. Karen’s mouth opened subconsciously.
