“What!!!!” He asked his eyes shockingly.
“You know what I said and I am not repeating it,” Mr Everest said.
“You can’t expect me to marry a total stranger,” he said.
“So now she is a stranger, you don’t know that when you slept with her” his father said.
“See father, I am confused, 8 can’t marry her” he said.
“I don’t go back on my word and you know it Noah Everest” his father said calmly.
“I have a girlfriend dad, how is she going to react to this, she is going to be mad” Noah said.
“Do I look like I care about that? If you know that your girlfriend is going to be mad, then why did you see sleep with another girl?” his father said.
“Dad, I don’t know what is wrong with me, you know I stopped sleeping around the moment I have Emily, I think this is set up, please dad just listen” Noah begged.
“I know, but did all these people know, look at what they are saying about me” Mr Everest said and carried his phone.
“If it is about these rumors, it will go down in about a month and people will forget about it,” Noah said.
“Okay” his father said.
“Does that mean I don’t have to marry her again?” Noah asked.
“Yeah,” his father muttered.
“Thanks dad,” he said.
“You might as well just forget your position as the CEO of my company, I know Nicholas will be more than happy to take the position” his father said and everywhere became silent.
“I guess you are not taking no for an answer then” Noah mutters.
“Yeah, so it is either you marry her, or forget the company” his father said before going to his seat to resume his reading, Noah walked out of the room with miss feelings. He was walking slowly through the corridor until a loud scream distracted him, he ran toward the scream and saw Jasmine dragging Emily who was trying to release herself with force.
“What is going on?” He asked and Jasmin released her.
“Dad I hate her so much,” Emily yelled as tears came out of her eyes.
“What did you do to her?” Noah asked Jasmin with a frown.
“Why are you acting like you don’t know she is a pretender, I was just trying to be nice to her but she was screaming like a witch” Jasmin said while rolling her eyes.
“Don’t talk to my kid that way” Noah said and looked at Emily whose tears were rushing out of her face already.
“Baby I am sorry” Noah said and moved closer to her.
“Don’t talk to me, I am mad at you” Emily snapped before running up the tears. Noah called after her but she ignored him.
“That girl is so dramatic, just an ordinary handshake, you will think I am stabbing her” Jasmin scoffed.
“Didn’t we talk about this” Noah asked while looking at her.
“I was trying to be nice to her just because of your kid, but she is getting on my nerves” Jasmin said.
“Why did you even think I have any relationship with you, it was because of her, I want her to feel the affection of a mother but you are not giving her any of that, instead you made her cry” Noah said.
“I am trying my best, though I hate kids so much, I am still tolerating her, didn’t I try?” She snapped.
“Tolerating my kid?” He asked with a frown, he was getting angry.
“Don’t make this talk about me, I actually came for another reason, so what is the news that I am hearing about you sleeping with some bitches” she asked.
“You shouldn’t insult her, she is not a bitch” Noah said.
“Interesting, now you are even defending her” she yelled angrily.
“Put yourself together and stop yelling,” Noah said.
“Wow now I am yelling, must I face a lot of things because I am dating you, first it was your kid and now it is a lady” she said angrily.
“If you are having problems with dating me because of my kid, you can kindly go, not like I am holding you back” Noah said and started going but she quickly held his hand.
“So what was the news all about, did you really cheat on me?” She asked calmly while trying to control her anger.
“I have nothing to say to you” he muttered before walking away, she stood at her spot while watching his back till he was out of the mansion.
“Now he is mad at me, when I was the one who was supposed to be mad” she scoffed angrily and carried her bag before leaving.

EVEREST GROUP OF COMPANY
Noah noticed how his workers were looking at him as he walked into the company, some even have the gut to be whispering in front of him, he didn’t blame them anyway, he was sure the news would be everywhere by now. He used the elevator to get to his office, and his secretary quickly adjusted her dress when she saw him.
“Mr Everest ” she called and asked him to walk past her.
“What is it Nancy?” He asked frustratedly.
“You have a visitor, Mr Nicholas is here” Noah didn’t say anything and just walked into his office, he met Nicholas sitting in his seat, his leg on the table.
“What are you doing?” He asked angrily.
“Oh brother, you are here” Nicholas said and stood up.
“What are you doing in my office?” He asked again.
“Calm down brother, who knows it may no longer be your office, you know what I mean right, but don’t worry I am a nice person so I might just appoint you as my secretary or PA” Nicholas said with a smirk.
“You will never sit in this position and point of corrections, call me stepbrother” Noah said and push him with his shoulder before sitting on his seat.
“Then let’s wait and watch, for now stepbrother” Nicholas said before walking out of the office. Noah signs his father’s word ring in his ear, he will never allow Nicholas to take his position, that will be like failing his lllllmum, he promised her so he can’t fail it. He picks up his phone and dial a number.
“Look for a lady with the name Adelaide Salvatore” he said immediately the person picked the call.
“Okay sir” the person said.
“I want the results in an hour,” he said before hanging up. He drops the phone and ruffles his hair.

A STATION
Adelaide rushed into the place, she was panting heavily, her hair looked so rough, she was at the restaurant when she was called by someone that her brother was arrested. She rushed to meet him in the cell but was dragged back by the police.
“Calm down ma’am,” the cop said.
“Why is my brother locked up?” She asked while looking at Fransisco who was smiling at her.
“He beat up man” the cops said and Adelaide gasped in shock.
“Who is the person?” Adelaide asked and just then Dalton came in his mum and fiancee.
“Mum” Adelaide called and look wanted to hug her but the woman shifted away.
“Don’t even dare touch me with your disgusting body” she said and Dalton’s fiancee smiled.
“Mum” Adelaide called shockingly, she can still remember how women always hug her and call her daughter in law, how she will say she wishes they can marry quickly.
“Don’t call me that, someone like you can’t call me mum” the woman snapped.
“Don’t you dare shout at her, old hag” Fransisco said from the cell.
“Look at what your brother did to my son” the woman yelled which made Adelaide look at Dalton. She should have known this is what happened.
Dalton’s face was filled with scars and plaster, and she wondered what his body would look like.
“Why did you do that?” Adelaide directed the question at Francisco.
“Cause he deserves it for breaking your heart, I will do more if I have the chance, no one should mess with you” Fransisco said.
“See what the wretched kid is saying “ Dalton’s fiancee yelled.
“Calm down Barbie, you won’t want to lose your voice, and also your voice sounds irritating, I don’t want to hear it again,” Fransisco said.
“How dare you” she yelled while walking closer to the cell but Dalton quickly held her back.
“Please can you forgive us and release him” Adelaide pleaded.
“Then you will have to go on your knees” Dalton’s mum said with a smirk.
“Sister don’t listen to them, I am okay” Fransisco said but Adelaide went on her knees immediately.
“Please, release my brother” she pleaded.
“What a poor girl you are, too bad I am not listening to you, he will remain here till my son’s scars heal” she said and Adelaide watched as they walked out of the station.
“Don’t cry, I am okay” Fransisco said but she just stood up and walked out.

Noah check the time again and look around, he has been here for about thirty minutes and he hasn’t seen the girl, the neighborhood was terrifying him because of how dirty it look, he was about to give up and just go when he saw her coming, she was dragging her leg slowly, it seems like she is in a deep thoughts, he watch this she get to his place and her eyes widen when she saw him.
“Noah Everest, what are you doing here?” She asked.
“I came to see you, Can we talk in your house?” he said and she nodded before leading him to her house , they arrived and he looked around the small apartment.
“We can go to another place if you are not comfortable” she said after seeing the look on his face.
“No no, I am okay,” he said and sat on her small bed.
“So what brought you here?” She asked gently.
“You might know what is going on on the internet now because of our nightstand,” he said.
“Yeah, I can’t forget the hateful look I received from people I don’t even know,” Adelaide said gently.
“So it gets me into a serious situation and I will really need your help”he said.
“My help?” She asked in confusion and he nodded.
“So what is it?” She asked.
“I want us to get married” he dropped the bombshell.
“What” she gasps.
“Please don’t reject me, it will really benefit us, since people think bad of us now, getting married will really help, please don’t say no” he pleaded.
“I understand what you are saying, but marriage is not something you just did, it is a lifetime commitment and we know nothing about each other so how do you expect us to marry?” she said slowly.
“This is really important to me and my family, tell me anything you want is it money, I also hear you wish for your brother to go to college, I will send him to the best college in this state, I will change you people’s lives” he said desperately.
“Everything is not about money, I have always wished to marry the person I love” she said as her mind went to Dalton, she had planned their future together and didn’t know everything would turn out this way, the thought of how she was publicly embarrassed suddenly filled her head and she sighs sadly.
“If you accept this, your life we changed forever” Noah voice snapped her out of her thought.
“You don’t seem to understand what I am saying?” She said gently.
“I understand but think about it, you will have everything that you desire, I will make that possible myself” he said seriously.
“I will accept if you also accept my deal” she suddenly said. It’s about time to put all those treating her and her brother in their place.
“Tell me anything you want,” he said.
“Do you know a company name ADEFRAN MOTOR?” She asked gently.
“Yeah, That’s where I bought my cars,” Noah said.
“That company belongs to my parents, we lost it after their death,” she said.
“So what do you want me to do?” He asked.
“I want you to get the company back for me, can you do that?” She asked.
“That’s the littlest thing I can do,” he said with a proud smile.
“Can you release my brother from the cell too?” she asked further.
“I can bail a murderer out If I wanted to,” he said coolly.
“Then let’s get married” she said as they both stared at each other.
