“Yes ” He said and And Flora opened her room door stepped in then Hardin followed her in.
“You can sit here ” Flora said and tried to make Hardin sit on the couch in her room but he stopped her.
“Flora I saw what you did to Sofina , why did you get into a fight with her ? ” Hardin asked and Flora rolled her eyes.
“I see she told you already, Brother Hardin I didn’t mean to fight with her but she is just so annoying and she was the one who start the fight not me ” Flora lied.
“Flora I know you are lying , I came here cause I wanted to teach you a lesson but I won’t do that for the sake of old time but the next Time you hurt Sofina I won’t hesitate to make you pay ” Hardin said Coldly and Flora gulped down.
He wanted to open the door and walk out but Flora grabbed his wrist.

He had only taken four steps away from her room when she ran out.

Pearl stood Infront of the door looking really nervous.

Pearl was surprised when she stepped inside , the living room was decorated with different kind of flowers and candles , her eyes went to the small dining room which was also beautifully decorated , different kinds of delicious dish were on the table , everything looked really romantic.
“This must be for his girlfriend , He only asked me to come in so he could rub it on my face ” Pearl thought inwardly and sniffed sadly trying her best to hold her Tears.
She dropped the food flask on the table and turned around.
“I really have to leave “She mumbled and tried to walk pass Max but he held her shoulder’s.
“Aren’t you going to ask me who I did all this for ? ”

Pearl blinked in confusion she still didn’t understand what was going on.
“I..I .” She Stammered not knowing what to say , she took a deep breath then closed her eyes trying to calm her beating heart.
She removed Max hands from her face and moved back a bit , she was Afraid that she was going to faint from happiness if she continued to stand so close to him.
“What are you saying ? , you have a girlfriend I saw her the other day I came here so how can you say you love me , Are you trying to play me ? ”
Max took both of Pearl’s hands holding it in his.
“She is not my girlfriend , she is my boss she came to give me my laptop but it was late and dangerous for her to return home by herself so I suggested she spent the night over , none of Sofina’s clothes were her size so she wore mine and just so you know we didn’t sleep in the same room , I slept on the couch while she slept in my room ” Max explained everything to Pearl , excluding the part that they accidentally kissed , she didn’t need to know of that part .
Pearl was so embarrassed , she felt like a fool for jumping into conclusions.
“Oh I thought she was your girlfriend , I am so embarrassed ” She mumbled and bit her lower lip.
“Anyone would have thought the same if they had seen us that morning so don’t be embarrassed , enough about that let talk about us ” Max Said and Pearl felt her cheek heat up.
“Us ? ” She asked shyly.
“Yes , Do you want to be my girlfriend ? ” Max asked , pearl was trying so hard not to scream out with excitement.
“Max do you really love me or did my mom told you that I hadn’t been myself since I saw your boss with you ? Are you doing this cause you pity me ? ” She asked in a low voice , avoiding his eye.
Max cupped her face in his hands.
“I love you pearl , I had always had a secret crush on you ” Max said and Pearl’s eyes widen.
“What?! ” She half screamed , who would have thought Max liked her he never for once made it obvious.
“Yeah I liked you but I didn’t want to date you ”
“Is it because of i am childish ” Pearl asked and he chuckled.
“Your childishness is one of the things I love about you , I didn’t want to date you cause you are Sofina’s best friend things might complicated between you and Sofina, if me and you started dating and I didn’t know you liked me until your mom told me , I decided not to keep my feelings a secret again after hearing from your mom that you liked me so we both planned all this ”
Tears gushed out of Pearl’s eyes , she hugged Max and he hugged her back.
“You should have told me sooner do you know how hard it was for me , I thought you were never going to like me ” Pearl said between her tears.
“You are right I should have man up and asked you out , I am sorry Pearl ” Max Said and hugged her Tightly.

Emory stepped out of her mom’s restaurant , she locked the door and put the keys into her bag.
“It really cold today ” She mumbled and rubbed her hands together, she placed them into her coat pocket then started walking down the lonely street, hoping she sees a cab soon.
She was still walking down the street when a man came out of a corner and blocked her path.
Emory gulped down nervously and took a step back fearfully.
She had heard the people in the neighborhood talking about a perverted man who hunts down girls in the neighborhood and r**es them , those who were his victims said he was wearing a black hoodie and a black mask and the man Infront of her was wearing the exact thing.
Emory didn’t mean to close the restaurant late , she lost track of time while cleaning up the restaurant.
“We can do this the hard way or the easy way ” The man said.
Emory ran forward and pushed him out of her way , the man was taken by surprise and he fell on the floor.
He quickly got up and started chasing after Emory.
Emory had never ran so much in her life , she was already getting tired , her pace even reduced.
In no time the man caught up with her and pulled her by grabbing her hair.
“ARGH!!! “Emory screamed.
“You b**ch! ” The man yelled and slapped her then pushed to the floor.
“Ow! ” She cried in pain.

He grabbed her shirt and started trying to tear it but Emory kept resisting.

“Oliver ” Emory called and smiled out.

Oliver failed to notice that the man brought out a knife from his hoodie with his right hand.
“AHHH!! ” He let out a scream and coughed out blood when the man stabbed him in the stomach.
The man pushed his body then picked off , Emory’s eyes widen in horror , she tried to get up but her ankle got sprained when that man pushed her.
She crawled to Oliver who was bleeding seriously from his stabbed stomach.
“Oliver please hang on ” She placed his head on her chest as she cried , she quickly took out her phone and dialed 911.
” My friend was stabbed by a pervert… We are in Merry street….Please hurry up he is dying!! ” She hang up and dropped her phone.
“Help is coming please don’t die ” She mumbled as she cried .
Oliver tried to talk but spat out a mouthful of blood instead.

Sounds of cricket could be heard around , lots of Stars were on the sky and the moon was standing mighty in the air.
A figure was squatting down beside the pool crying her eyes out as she Scrabble something into a book.
Her tears were dropping on the book , but she continued to write anyways , after she was done she placed the book aside , took off her slippers and placed it on the book then she stood up.
She sniffed painfully then wiped her tears with the sleeve of her cloth, she looked at the sky then smiled sadly.
She walked closer to the pool, exhaled then jumped into the pool.
Flora Closed her eyes as she sank into the depth of the water, breathing became difficult for her but she didn’t care , this was what she wanted.
She was going to end all her pain and suffering , she would rather die than live to watch Hardin and Sofina being happy together……….
