Esmeralda’s Perspective

As I packed my car and hurried inside, I couldn’t help but smile.

At long last, after all these years, I’m going to see him! I wondered how he would react when he first saw me, and I planned to give him a piece of my mind for not coming to find me as I stepped into the elevator.

How did I find out he was here? Well… Paul called me not too long ago and mentioned that he had just returned from Flinn’s place.

I was taken aback at first, struggling to grasp what he was saying until he clarified that Flinn is in this hospital, which is why I’m here.

Has he been in this hospital all this time? If he’s in Massachusetts, then why didn’t he come to get me? I thought, quickly making my way out of the elevator.

“Room 208,” I whispered, hurrying to locate his room, and finally, I found it. I pushed the door open, and everyone turned to look at me.

I wasn’t sure how he looked now; the room was filled with several attractive guys, but then my eyes landed on him.

I’m not sure how he looks at this moment, and there were plenty of attractive guys in the room.

Then I noticed him gazing at me with those lovely green eyes I’ve missed so much… my Flinn. He was sitting on the bed next to a woman.

‘Baby?’ I called out, my breath coming in quick gasps.

‘Is that you, baby?’ I asked again, and he softly murmured my name, which made me break into a broad smile.

‘Who the hell are you?’ the stunningly curvy woman beside him said disdainfully, glaring at me with a frown.

‘Flinn, it’s me… Esmeralda,’ I replied, disregarding the woman, prompting her to scoff loudly.

‘Hey there, miss, are you lost or something? Did you manage to escape from a mental health facility? You can’t just barge in here and call my brother. Who are you?’ another woman in the room exclaimed, also glaring at me.

‘Wait… those eyes… brother?? Is this the sister he mentioned?” I thought, smiling instantly.

‘You’re Sasha, Flinn’s sister,’ I said, and she let out a laugh.

“Of course I am. Now, could you please tell me who you are and what you’re doing here?” she asked, her gaze fixed intently on me.

“I’m Esmeralda, Flinn’s girlfriend. He’s shared so much about you, and I’m really happy to finally meet you,” I replied with a smile, though her sudden laughter struck me as insincere.

“You’re… you’re his girlfriend? Well, someone call the doctor and let him know one of his psycho patients just walked in,” she remarked with a smirk.

“I don’t think she seems mentally unstable. Let’s at least hear her out. Don’t you recall her boss?” one of the attractive guys in the room suggested, glancing at Flinn, who remained silent and focused on me.

“Do you know her, sweetie?” the pretty girl sitting next to him inquired, causing me to frown immediately.

Did she just call him ‘sweetie’? I remembered her holding his hand and resting her head on his chest when I entered. Did Flinn really move on without me? My heart ached at the thought.

“You’re not saying anything,Baby”The lady that called him baby said with a frown.

“Can I please have a time alone with her?, Please give us a second guys. I promise I’ll be done soon so that we can go home before it gets even darker”Flinn finally spoke up and they all looked at eachother before standing up.

They begin leaving but the lady beside him didn’t even bulge or flinch, she just sat there staring at him and somehow it got me really annoyed.

“What?, You’re not expecting me to join them in leaving just you and this lady alone right?”She said with a scoff staring at Flinn.

Please Mine, Just a few minutes”Flinn said and I frowned deeply.

Is her name Mine? or that’s what he calls her?,I thought and bit my lip with a frown, I can’t wait for them all to leave and I get to ask Flinn all the questions in my mind.

“Come on Baby, You heard him….. Let’s just please give him some minutes alone with her”The older lady who looked so much like her said and she scoffed. It’s obviously her mom because you could even mistake her for her sister.

“Please Bluey, Let’s go…… He really do have to talk to her and I think we should all leave them alone”The lady that asked if I am mentally disturbed said and the thick lady finally stood up. So her name is Bluey……. Then why was Flinn calling her Mine?,I thought staring at her keenly.
