Kaila is a pretty young lady of 24 years, she comes from a very poor family. Her mother died when giving birth to her and her father got married to another woman.
Her father had a disease and now he can’t walk, he’s crippled.
Kaila’s step mother, Mrs Paulina is a tyrant, very wicked and money minded. She passed all her character trait to her daughter Mindy.
Mindy is 23 years old, very pretty too just like her step sister but she’s wicked, cunning and money minded like her mother.
Ever since Kaila’s father became a crippled man, Paulina and Mindy turned Kaila to their personal maid. They maltreated her, gave her severe beatings but still she never complained. She took it all to herself.
Fortunately, luck was on Kayla’s side. A rich and handsome CEO will ask for Kaila’s hand in marriage.
Mindy and her step mother will get jealous of her and then will sell her to the br©thel. And they will trick the CEO and he will end up marrying Mindy.

SLAP!!!!
Kaila fell on the ground holding her jaw as she received a very hot slap from her step mother.
She grabbed her hair harshly and made her look at her.
“You mean to tell me that you only made 30$ today, out of all the goods you took while going you made 30$!?” She spatted on her face.
“I’m sorry mother, people refused to buy” Kaila said.
She released her hair and stood up properly ruffling her hair.
“What are we gonna buy with only 30$?? huh?” She asked while packing to and fro.
Mindy walked up to them and threw a pile of clothes at Kaila.
“Wash this, maybe that’ll teach you a lesson” She said and walked back to her room.
Kaila stood up from the ground she was sitting on and she carried the pile of clothes out of their house then she began washing them while wiping off her tears…
“Why do I have to suffer for something which isn’t my fault” She thought as she washed the pile of clothes.
After that she dried them under the sun. She then carried water and began cleaning the floor of the house.
Paulina, kaila step mother was passing by, he kicked the bucket of water and it all poured on the floor.
“Oops my mistake” She said and walked away.
Kaila looked at the mess on the floor and then sighed loudly…
After she was done with the cleaning, she carried a basket and began her walk to the market.
She settled on her stand and offloaded her good, settling the down on the table.
“Fresh buns?! Who wants some hot and delicious buns!!” She said.
Some people came and bought it then went. She kept screaming, hoping to attract more customers.
*If I don’t sell all these before sunset, I’m done for* She thought as she wrapped up the buns and gave it to a customer
She kept selling and collecting the coins. Suddenly someone passed and picked up the buns then ran away.
“Thief!!” She screamed and began running after him completely forgetting her stand.
“Stop you thief!!” She screamed as she ran after him.
She made to cross the road when a car was driving towards her. She stopped on her tracks and her eyes widened in h©rror.
The next thing she knew it, the car hit her and she fell on the floor passing out.

“Miss, miss are you okay? Miss?” Someone called her name as he tapped her jaw.
She slowly opened her eyes and gasped as she saw a very handsome face staring at her.
“Thank goodness you’re safe. What were you thinking when you wanted to cross the road?” He said.
“I’m sorry Mister” She said.
The man stood up and offered her his hand. She took it and he helped her up, by that time the passerby where staring at them wondering why a commoner is doing with an elite.
She dusted her dress and her eyes widened as she remembered what she was doing when the car hit.
“Oh no, I’m so dead. If a single coin is missing, step mother will kill me” She said worriedly.
“Are you okay?” He asked.
“I am, thanks for helping me.” She said and made to live.
“Wait a sec” He said and removed something from his pocket.
He handed it to her. She took it while looking at it curiously…
“This is just a small amount of 3000$ in order to amend for mistake” He said.
“Oh no, I can’t possibly accept this without giving you something in return” She said and handed it back to him but he refused to take it back…
“Oh no, I insist have it” He said with a smile.
“Thanks so much Mister” She said and turned to run back but stopped on her track as he spoke.
“Can I know your name?” He asked
“Kaila”She said with a smile and ran away.
“Kaila, cute” He said to no one in particular before entering his car and he drove away…
*This money is enough for all what I was supposed to sell today* She thought as she walked to her stand.
She spotted some kid who were begging food from passerby.
“Hey! Come over here” She said waving at them
“Thanks miss” They said as she gave them some buns.
*Since the money I enough, I can perhaps help them* She thought
She sold the rest and handed the money to the kids for them to feed themselves. They thanked her countless times.
She began packing her things in the basket to go home.
“Hey namesake!!” Someone said from behind.
“Oh you’re here namesake. How was work?” She asked with a smile.
“Too tiring. I want to sleep” She said while pouting…
Meet Kaila James, well as her name indicate, she’s the name sake of Kaila.
Not only do they have the same name but they’re also the best of friends. Kaila James works as a designer in a fashion studio.
“Come on, let me help you with that” Kaila James said and helped her with the basket.
They began their walk home as they chatted and laughed sillily.
They didn’t realize when they arrived their destination.
“Wow, that was fast” Kaila James said as she handed the basket to her.
“Good bye bestie” Kaila James said and then walked away.
Kaila walked in her house and met her step mom in the living rooms filing her name.
She walked up to her and handed her the the before going to her own room which was beside the pig’s house to get changed.
She got changed and then went to her father’s room to see him.
“Father?”She called slowly.
“My princess, please come in”Her father said from the bed he was sitting.
She walked in and then sat down beside her father then began massaging his foot. That’s what she does ever since he became crippled.
“How was day?”He asked as he patted her head.
“It was nice dad” She replied with a smile. Though behind those smile, his father could see the hardship she’s going through.
“I’m sorry I’m adding to your burden Kaila. If only I’m able to walk, I could have helped you achieve your dreams” He said sadly.
“It’s okay dad, you aren’t a burden to me. I love taking care of you. It’s my job and duty” She said.
He smiled and patted her hair as she continued massaging his feet.
After she was done attending to her father, she went back to her room changed and took a bath in their family bathroom.
After her bath, she dressed into a simple brown gown and then went to cook. She made dinner, arranged dinner on the table and then went to the kitchen to eat their meal.
After her meal she went to sleep. She glanced at her wrist and quickly spranged up from bed.
“Oh no where’s my bracelet” She said and got down from bed searching for it.
“I can’t loose it. Please?” She said while looking under the bed.
She heaved a sigh of relief as she saw it in her pile of dirty clothes.
The bracelet was given to when she was 5 by a seer. It was a dream catcher, when she was small she used to have a lot of bad dreams that used to torment her when she’s awake.
The seer said that she was a special being and she could predict the future, that all those nightmare where the future of another person.
She was given the bracelet and she was told to always wear it when she’s going to sleep in order to block the vision from coming to her.
“Thank God I found it” She said and wore it on her left wrist.
She then went to bed and drifted off to sleep…
** Next morning **
A knock was heard on the door which woke Mindy up. She angrily went and opened the door but almost fainted at what she saw. A man who was overly handsome was standing in front of her with a cute smile on his lips.
She blinked twice and shook her head to be sure she’s not dreaming and she wasn’t!!
“Good morning mister” She said with a smile on her face.
“Good morning Miss” He replied.
“Um can I see your father for a minute?” He asked.
She quickly nodded and let him in. She let him go her father’s room and then rushed to wake up her mother.
“Mum, mum wake up” She said.
“What?” Paulina asked angrily.
She held her hand and dragged her to the door of her father. They stuck their ears to the door of the room as they were eavesdropping on their conversation.
“Well sir, I’m sorry I’m waking you up early this morning and I’m sorry about your condition” He said.
“No problem son, I’m used to this anyway” He said.
“Well I won’t beat around the bush any longer. The reason why I’m here is because I want to ask for your daughter’s hand in marriage and I want to ask for your blessing before I proceed.” He said.
Mindy and her mom gasped. Mindy squealed and jumped up and down.
“He’s going to ask for my hand in marriage” Mindy said to her mother who was also excited.
“Come on, let’s doll you up. You have to look beautiful for your future husband” Paulina said and walked away with her.
They didn’t get the chance to hear the following conversation.
Paulina guided her daughter to her room and she painted her face with makeup, she made she dress very good and also sprayed perfume on her body making her look like a doll.
Kaila was already awake. She did the house chores, fed the pigs and was now preparing breakfast.
The stranger finished talking to their dad (Mr. Evaristo Morgan) he walked out of his room with smiles on his face.
As soon as Paulina spotted him she stood up from her seat and went to him.
“Would you mind having breakfast with us?” She said while Mindy was just staring at him.
“Uhh of course, anything for my future in laws” He replied with a charming smile.
They all settled down on their small dining table. The young man looked like he was waiting for someone.
Kaila walked in with the food and almost dropped it on the floor as her gaze locked with the young man. He’s the one who gave her the money she used to save her head from her step mother. Was he here to ask for compensation??
“What are you standing there for? Quick come and serve us food we’re starving” Mindy spatted.
She came back to her senses and quickly served them food. She avoided eye contact with the stranger.
She bowed slightly and rushed to the kitchen.
“Oh God, I’m so dead!!” She lamented while pacing round the kitchen.

They slowly began eating their meal with Mindy stealing glances at the young man.
“Pardon my manners, my name is William Perry, CEO of the SIB in Florida” He replied
Mindy gasped and smiled happily, not only is he hands but rich.
“We’re so honoured that you want to marry my daughter Mindy, I promise I’ll teach her all what it takes to be a good wife” Paulina said.
William chuckled lightly which made Paulina and Mindy to look at him I confusion.
“I’m sorry but I think there has been a little misunderstanding. You see I’m not here for miss Mindy, I’m here for miss Kaila” He said smiling.
Mindy hold on the fork loosen and it fell on the floor making a clattering noise…
