Her expression softened, and I could see the gratitude shining in her eyes. “You always know how to make me feel special. I can’t believe you went through all this trouble for me.”
“Selene,” I said, stepping closer and taking her hands in mine, “you are special. You deserve every bit of joy this world has to offer. Never doubt that.”
She smiled, and in that moment, I felt an overwhelming urge to pull her close again, to remind her just how important she was to me. But instead, I gestured for her to take a seat at the table.
” You really have change Lucifer ” she smile ” no longer proud and annoying”
“i can be good if I want to” I said, winking at her.
As she settled into her chair, I poured us both glasses of sparkling water, I remain still and watch her eat, how slowly and ladylike she is…. She is truly perfect, everything about her is perfect….. Will she hate me for what am about to do?
This is all for her sake, I did give her a wonderful evening… A nice date, to cover this up
” Lucifer, you aren’t eating”
” I will very much like to eat you first ” I watch her face heat up, she look down … Avoiding my gaze, always shy ” Selene, did I tell you how stunning you look this evening”
” You sure did ”
” That’s better ” I lean back and watch her chuckle…. Before I could say more to her, the door burst open, I look at Michael walking in …. Clapping his hands in process.
” Who will think the devil will go through such lengths for a demon” I stood up immediately, my whole facial expression changing
” Watch your tone!!”
Michael lift his hand ” I did not come here to argue, just to deliver a message to you ” he move closer and drop the note on the table ” you really should obey father”
” Or what?”
” You might regret it ” with that he disappear out of my sight…. My gaze move back to meet Selene, anger grow in me, I watch how her hands protectively cover her stomach
She did not think of her own life but the child? This was all I needed to see before knowing she will choose this child over me
” Lucifer?” She stood up and move towards me, holding my hand ” are you okay? You seem angry, is something wrong”
” No ” I smile ” I just realized I will always be second in your life ”
” What?”
” First Liam then Lucien and now this thing you call a child” Selene slap me hard on my face, I look at her, surprise she could do that.
” Do not talk about your child that way!!!” Tears drop from her eyes ” my child didn’t choose this life, you can’t blame your child for anything ”
” Am blaming you Selene” I chuckle ” I thought us going out will change things but it’s just lies, we are just trying to run from the things that will happen ”
” Lucifer!!!”
” If you wish to die, go ahead ” I growl ” but not on my watch.”
” What are you saying?”
” The food you ate ” I frown ” has drugs in it, strong enough for a miscarriage ” I watch her step back, covering her mouth
” How could you!!!!”
