The Emperor finally got to Mulan but she was still lost staring at the Crown Prince and Concubine Yan who held the Emperor’s arm frowned.
“Are you this vile? Aren’t you going to acknowledge the Emperor who is willing to accept a mere sacrifice like you into his harem?!”. Concubine Tan snapped loudly and Mulan instantly went on her two knees bowing at the Emperor who smiled.
“Thank you for considering me your majesty. A mere sacrifice like me couldn’t be happier”. Mulan said and Sky’s eyes widened.
‘She agreed? She really agreed to be the Emperor’s concubine?!’. Sky gasped as he turned slowly to face the Crown Prince whose expression was still but cold.
“Shilin must have arrived. Go check what he brought”. The Crown Prince’s voice came in a hush tone to Sky who bowed before running back into the City Gate.
“You wanted to take a walk outside your kingdom Uncle. If I knew you were going to add up to your harem I wouldn’t have joined you”. The Crown Prince said as he walked poisedly towards Mulan whose head was still bowed then he bent to her level and Mulan’s eyes widened as she made to bow lower.
Because in her kingdom, the rules are you must always be lower than a royal born, if the king bows, then you need to prostrate and if the king decides to prostate then just do anything that makes you one with the ground.
Mulan made to lie on the ground in greetings to the Crown Prince who frowned as he grabbed her hair and yanked her back to her feet which made everyone’s eyes widened.
“Your highness”. Mira mumbled but she dared not speak out.
The Crown Prince held hurting Mulan by the hair like she was an object not deserving to be held properly, as his sharp ocean eyes scanned her whole face, and when she looked at him also he’s gaze on her turned into a glare as he instantly grabbed her neck piercing his fingers deep into her throat and Mulan gasped out for breath.
“How dare you lock eyes with me? Are you worth it?”. The Crown Prince spat lowly and Mira instantly went on her knees.
“She grew up outside our main palace your majesty. So she was deprived of learning most of our moon realms rules”. Mira mumbled shakingly as she pleaded.
The second Prince balled his fist as he glanced at his father the Emperor who glanced at him also, before clearing his throat loudly to get everyone’s attention but Crown Prince Ocean didn’t spare him a glance.
“You’ve got your reason for her insolence now. And besides Yan over here did worse when she first moved into the palace but nobody cared, you always acted so uninterested and cut out of the palace affairs, why do you feel so angered about this particular girl?
Don’t worry if her character is the problem, I’ll order a teacher for her to work on it”. The Emperor said to the Crown Prince who still held Mulan at her neck, his fingers piercing deeper and her face getting redder.
“It’s not decided if she’ll be admitted into your harem yet. I think you have enough women in your disposal already—
“Ocean How dare you refute the king!!”. The Second Prince shouted and instantly guards dressed in gold, from nowhere surrounded him pointing their sharp swords at him and both the Emperor and Second Prince’s eyes widened as they glanced at the Crown Prince who didn’t bother to glance at them, as his full gaze was focused on Mulan.
Dolf the Second Prince’s guard also unsheathed his sword ready to protect his master.
“How dare you call my name?”. The Crown Prince questioned with a little grin before throwing Mulan recklessly to the ground and Mira instantly ran to help her.
“What’s with the palace guards pointing their swords at your cousin? Has things gone this far?! I called you here so we can discuss amicably about how cruel you’ve secretly divided the whole palace!! Are you planning to revolt?!
You know it’s high treason and even your late mother’s background wouldn’t save you!!”. The Emperor shouted angrily and the Crown Prince let out a scoff before turning to Mulan who was with Mira and still trying to catch her breath.
“You can’t have her as a concubine, because I want her. That’s just it, no revolt in mind and no treason at hand”. Crown Prince Ocean said his sly gaze piercing through Mulan’s whose eyes widened as she made sure to avoid his gaze this time.
“You trying to take a woman the Emperor already chose is enough reason for treason!! Know your limit Ocean—
“Give him three strokes at his back”. The Crown Prince’s voice came cutting the Second Prince off and instantly his back was sliced like a sliced bread and the Second Prince instantly fell to the ground, while pouring out blood from his mouth as he glared at the Crown Prince.
