You don’t have to beg me”. Mira said hurriedly as she helped Mulan pack big clothes and duvets into a big robe and folded the whole thing into a hand cloth bag.

“You’re pregnant, so you have to be warm at all times”. Mira said as she walked to give Mulan the cloth bag and Mulan took it then hugged her.

“Thank you. You’re the little sister I never had”. Mulan mumbled and Mira smiled widely.

“I’m always happy when you say that”. Mira giggled and Mulan smiled, breaking the hug.

“But where are you going? Hope it isn’t somewhere dangerous? You can’t run away from the Crown Prince because he wants the baby dead, and then you endanger the baby’s life by running into somewhere worst”. Mira asked and Mulan turned to the heavily guarded door, as she wore the cloth bag.

“I’m leaving this military base and returning back to the palace. So my baby receives more care”. Mulan lied, not batting and Mira nodded as she began walking out.

“I’ll distract the guards for you then. Leave the moment their attention has been diverted, and—eat alot when you get to the palace! I’ll write to the head maid about that anyways!”. Mira said as she left and Mulan nodded.

Mira got outside the tent, standing in the midst of the guards guarding the tent, she began staring at the floor like she was looking for something.

“Lady Mira. His majesty says you’re only to go into the tent once. Now that you’re out, you can’t go in again”. One of the guards said as they ignored Mira who still acted like she was looking for something and Mira nodded.

“I know, I know. You’ve all told me that a million times already. Even Sky too! So shuu!”. Mira said as she searched the floor around them.

“What are you searching for? You’re obstructing our duty”. Another requested coldly and Mira threw that one glare.

“Obstructing your duty?! Great! His majesty asked you all to protect her highness and stand guard at this tent but now her Majesty’s favorite earrings have gone missing and you all act like you don’t care?

I’ll go get Sky to report to his majesty about how incompetent you all are!!”. Mira snapped loudly and the guards exchanged widened gazes as they watched Mira walk away.

“Her majesty lost her favorite earrings? Where exactly? Let’s help you look for it?!”. One of them shouted as they stared at Mira who smiled before turning to them.

“In the kitchen. And that’s why I’m tracing her steps from here to the kitchen! But it’s far only me that can’t cover the whole trace alone”. Mira said and the guards exchanged glances.

“We are not supposed to leave here”. One guard said to the other.

“But what if she reports about the lost earrings to his majesty?”. Another said to the others.

“It’s okay! You don’t have to look for it, I’ll do it myself but if I meet his majesty on my way to the kitchen then I’ll tell him about what just happened—

“Kitchen right?! Let’s go take a brief look first!”. The guards cut her off as they all ran to the kitchen.

Almost immediately Mulan sneaked out, and Mira waved at her before joining the guards and Mulan after stealing one of the unwatched horses, mounted on it and rode herself out of the place.

It was easy to leave the military base since the soldiers were all focused and preparing for war, instead of guarding the main gate and it was because of this that Ocean planted tight security in her tent instead.

After searching the guards the kitchen was almost giving up, when Mira planted a pair of Mulan’s earrings at a spot in the kitchen.

One of the men found it and they returned back to guarding Mulan’s tent while Mira took the earring from them and promised to give it to Mulan once she wakes up.
