“Your majesty! Your majesty!!”. The Crown Prince could hear Minister Zhang call out as he ran straight into his chamber with a troubled look on his face and the Crown Prince gave him a raised eyebrow, while the minister instantly went on his knees to speak.
“How was punishing the innocent servants?”. The Crown Prince asked and minister Zhang blinked ouzzly.
“They’re innocent? Well that’s not the case. The Emperor called for a secret court meeting, even the Queen Mother was invited.
And Concubine Yan also, with the other princes. I just came to say if you were invited don’t go! If i wasn’t invited because he knows i’m one of your people.
I think they want to set up there”. Minister Zhang said and the Crown Prince sighed before sitting up right as he gave the Minister a sinister look with his pretty shiny eyes.
“I wasn’t invited”. He said and Minister Zhang began smiling widely.
“That’s great! You’re safe—
“No I’m not. It’s more dangerous now, that everyone else with titles got invited but their supposed heir to the throne wasn’t”. The Crown Prince said and the minister nodded slowly in understanding.
“You’re right. They called only their people. Are they trying to gang up on you? Those cowards. They know they’re no match for you, so ganging up is now their only choice”.
Minister Zhang spat angrily and the Crown Prince sat quiet, his facial expression blank as his brain traveled far and minister Zhang noticing it spoke again.
“Should I send one of our men to check what’s really going on for us?”. Minister Zhang said and the Crown Prince shook his head.
“We’ll only alert them to change plans. Let’s just wait and see what they’re planning to do”. The Crown Prince said and minister Zhang’s eyes widened.
“But why your majesty?! This may be a huge mistake on our path! The consequences might affect your title! What if it’s a huge one blow attack that can never permit you to attack again. We need to be ready!–
“You may leave. Get one of the men to send you back home safely”. The Crown Prince muttered before getting up and walking into his bed chamber while minister Zhang stood as he shook head.
“Hope you don’t feel too relaxed like your father did”. Minister Zhang said as he walked out.

IMPERIAL COURT
With the Emperor sitting on his Imperial throne while staring at his ministers who stood in front of him giving him confused gazes.
The Queen Mother who sat at a smaller throne next to the Emperor’s with a white shawl covering her face from the audience glared at how Concubine Yan sat right next to the Emperor on his throne massaging him.
The second and fourth prince stood right in front of the ministers also confused as they waited for their father who seems to be so carried away by concubine Yan’s massage that he forgot to speak, till the the Prime minister cleared his throat loudly and the Emperor then jolted back into reality.
“I suppose we must all be wondering why I called an emergency Court meeting today, when we all know court proceedings are held only on the first days of every week, so as to report all your duties carried out in the previous weeks”. The Emperor began and everyone nodded.
“Yes your majesty. And since it’s a court meeting shouldn’t the Crown Prince be present here also?”. The Prime minister asked and the Emperor exchanged glances with concubine Yan, which made the ministers suspicious.
“I’m guessing we’ll send someone to get him then. Maybe your messengers refused to deliver the news to him”. Another Minister spoke.
“Or maybe he got a call from the Emperor but refused to come. We all know how he’s been acting all mighty lately”. Minister Lin the taxation minister said and Concubine and the Emperor exchanged smiles.
