Maya and Mia came to the balcony with a few guests hanging around.
“Easy Mia, you know I can’t run fast “. Maya said.
” Am sorry, It’s just I am so excited”.
“About what?”.
” About you of course”. Mia smiled knowingly at her.
“I don’t get you”
“So, tell me, what is happening between you and Mr.williams? Did he finally pop up the question?”. She asked and Maya sighed.
” Well, he didn’t, but he finally confessed his feelings for me”.
“What? Really?”.
” Yes”.
“Yes!”. she said excitedly and they hugged each other.” I am so happy for you”.
“I know right”. they pulled away from each other. ” And he gave me this necklace earlier today, he said is a gift from his grandmother to him”.
“Wow, it’s beautiful”. She smiled and tears filled her eyes.” You don’t know how long I have been waiting for this, finally, you have found the right man”. Mia said.
“And I thank the heavens for that, but, there is a little problem”.
” What? Is it about the contract?”. Mia asked.
“Yeah, I think “.
” Will you just stop thinking about that, the contract doesn’t mean anything anymore, he has confessed his feelings for you, and you should be happy with it”.
“Yeah, I should be “.
” Exactly! Now come here”. She pulled her into her arms.”Everything is going to be fine”.
“So, how about you and Ryan?” Maya asked as they pulled away from each other.
“Fine”. she blushed.
” Hmm, you are blushing, has he proposed yet?”.
“What? No! It’s too early for that”. She said.
” Yeah, but has he expressed his true feelings”.
“Not really, maybe he is just taking his time”.
” I guess so too, but anyway, I wish you two the best of luck”.
“Thanks”.They chuckled.” Yeah, that reminds me, Ryan told me about something”. she said.

The guys were chilling with their drinks.
“What? She is staying in your house?”. Ryan asked confusedly after Jayden told the whole thing about Diana.
” Are you crazy? Why did you allow her to stay in your house?”.Theo quarrels.
“Don’t you know you are causing problems for yourself, what if she hurt Maya and the baby”. Ryan said.
” That won’t happen, as far as I let her live in my house, I also got my eyes on her, she won’t dare try to come close to Maya”. Jayden said.
“I don’t buy this idea, for goodness sake Jayden, that girl was your ex, Don’t you think she got a motive for coming back?”Theo said.
” Don’t let Mom and Dad hear about this”.Ryan said and they got interrupted.
“Hear about what?”. Mrs. Williams asked from behind and they turned to her direction.
“Is everything okay?”. Mr.williams asked seeing how surprised they looked.

” You allowed that? For Christ’s sake, that girl is his ex, what if she tries to hurt you?”. Mia said.
“I don’t know, that doesn’t bother me, as long as jayden loves me and I love him too, nothing will happen”. Maya said.
” I understand, but what if she is planning something, do you think she is happy seeing you and Mr.williams together? Please try to avoid her, don’t take anything she gives to you”.
“I won’t, you know I am always careful, I will try to be nice to her, but for the past few days she has been living with us, I didn’t sense any ulterior motives”.
” Don’t try to fall for it, she might be pretending to be nice to you, and then when she finally gets you in the tip of her fingers, she will strike”.Mia said.
“Fine, I will be careful “. She said and they hugged each other.
” We should head back to the party before they start looking for us”. Mia said and they walked away.

Mr. Williams and his family came to the bedroom to have a private talk after finding out the truth from them.
“You wanna explain to us, son”. Mr.williams said frowning including his wife.
” What were you thinking by allowing her back into your life, do you know you have Maya now and she is almost due, this can be a stress to her”. Mrs. Williams said.
“Mom, I didn’t bring her back into my life, she needed a place to stay and I decided to help”. Jayden said.
” Why didn’t you rent an apartment for her instead, not your house, son”. Mr. Williams said.
“I thought of that ideal, but I also thought it would be bad for her health”.
” Let her predicament not be your problem, she is paying for her sins, do you forget what she did to you? You almost lost your life because of her”. Mr.williams said.
“Son, are you still having feelings for her?”. Mrs.Williams asked.
” Goodness me Mother! I am not, Diana is my past, I only have feelings for one woman and that is Maya, Diana’s presence in my house, doesn’t make me remember my past with her because Maya has mended my heart already”. Jayden said firmly and they sighed.
“She is lucky she is not present here, I would have shown her the stuff I am made of”. Mrs.Williams said angrily.
” So, Mom, Dad, what are you two saying, He should let her remain in that house?”. Ryan asked.
“It’s your brother’s decision already, our only concern now is to put eyes on her, so she won’t try to harm Maya and the baby “. Mr.williams said.

Maya and Mia walked around the room searching for the rest, suddenly, Maya pumped into one of the waiters holding a tray of drinks, and the waiter spilled the drinks on a young lady who was chatting with her friends.
” What the hell!”. She yelled angrily, before the waiter could apologize, She landed a hot slap across his face and it caught everyone’s attention.”How dare you? Look at my dress”. she said. Maya moved to her front staring hard at her.
“That was rude, I pumped into him and made him spill the drinks on you, it wasn’t intentional, he doesn’t deserve that slap”. Maya said.
” Who the hell are you to ask me that stupid question”. She said rudely to Maya.
“Don’t you have manners?”. Mia questioned.
” Are you two trying to bail on me, didn’t you see what he did to my dress”.
“It wasn’t intentional, you need to apologize to him”. Maya said and the girl scoffed.
” Who do you think you are to ask me such”.
“You have to apologize to him now or–“. she got interrupted.
“or else what? Why are you taking sides with a common waiter, you should scold him for being reckless, or, is there something going on between you two?”. She asked and then gasped.” Oh, is he the father of that thing you have in your tummy that–“She got interrupted by a hot slap across her face.
“How dare you call my baby a thing”. Maya said angrily. meanwhile, Mia left a while ago to find jayden and the rest.
” Did you just slap me?”.
“And I will do it again and again if you dare speak to me in that manner”. She warned.
” How dare you?”.She raised her hand to slap her, but she got interrupted.
“You won’t dare do that if I were you”. Jayden said from behind, the young lady brought her hand down quickly immediately she heard his voice. Jayden came over and stood beside Maya staring hard at the girl, she bowed her head on the ground looking scared.”Mia, tell me what happened.” Jayden asked still staring hard at the girl.
“Maya mistakenly pumped into this waiter here and the drinks spilled on the lady’s dress, she couldn’t wait for the guy to apologize, and she landed him a slap when Maya tried to confront her, she was rude and even accused Maya of trying to defend the boy because she is carrying his child”. She said. Jayden clenched his fist.
” What the hell”. Ryan said.
“How dare you”. Jayden said and grabbed onto her neck quickly, everyone was caught off guard by his actions, and the young lady was struggling to breathe.
” P–please, i-i-i can’t b-breath”.She sputtered.
“How dare you accuse my woman of being pregnant with another man’s child, how dare you! I could kill you”, He yelled angrily.
” Jayden, please let her go”. Maya said firmly holding his arm. Quickly, he pushed the girl off and she fell on the floor coughing and trying to catch her breath.
“Am sorry sir, please forgive me, I didn’t know she was your woman, am sorry”. She said sobbing while on her knees and still trying to catch her breath.
“Now apologize to the young man you just slapped”. He said. and the lady obeyed quickly.
” Am sorry, please forgive me, I didn’t mean to slap you”. She said sincerely.
“Good, now apologize to her”. he said and the lady turned to Maya.
” Am sorry Ma, I didn’t mean to be rude, I promise to change, please forgive me”. She said.
“Now, I want you out of this party in the next thirty seconds”. he said and the young lady obeyed as she stood up picked up her belongings and disappeared from everyone’s eyes within a second.
Jayden took Maya’s hand and walked away, including Ryan who also left with Mia. The guest returned to their fun and was amazed by what Jayden did.

Jayden helped Maya to sit down comfortably on the sofa and then rushed to get her a can of water, he returned with the water, and opened it, gave it to her. Maya drank a lot from it before giving him back.
” Are you okay?”. He asked.
“Yes, am fine, thank you for what you did out there”.
” You don’t need to thank me, no one dares try to bull at you and then walk away, not when I am still alive”. he said.
“And I thank the heavens for bringing you close to me”. She caressed his face smiling. ” I love you, jayden, you are the first man that I have ever loved, you brought light to my life”.
“And I love you too, you and my baby are special to me, I love and adore you two so much, you guys are my life and I will protect you two to my dying minute”. He said and they kissed.” I love you, come here”. he pulled her into his arms and caressed her hair .
