The party was still going on, Ryan and Mia came to the balcony for a quiet moment.

“Why are we here? Aren’t we supposed to be in the party?”Mia asked nervously.

” I know, I want a quiet moment with you, I haven’t had the chance to be close to you since we arrived, and I miss you so much”. He caresses her face and they smile at each other.

“I miss you two”.She blushed.

” I know”. They chuckle.

He pulled her closer into his arms and encircled his hand around her waist, Mia gulped nervously. Ryan traced his fingers over the line of her jaw and pulled her tight to his chest. He was starving for her lips and now was the moment, he wanted to savor the moment. Mia’s lips parted as his thumb brushed over their petal softness, and she combed her fingers into the hair at the nape of his neck. Tingles washed down his back as he closed the gap between their mouths, first with the utmost gentleness, then with the hunger of a starved man. She made a delicious little sound and responded with the same hunger, sparking a fire in his belly. He didn’t want it to stop.

Lisa came over to the balcony, she was shocked to see the intense moment between the two lovers, so she turned around quickly and rushed off.

An hour later, everyone gathered around to cheer the celebrants up as they were about to cut the cake with their children including Maya, Mia, and Lisa, a countdown was made and they cut the cake, and everyone cheered them up congratulating them. They fed each other some cakes and then the cake designer came over to dice the rest cake to share with the guests.

The party went on, every merry and drink to their satisfaction, and call it a night.

CLUBHOUSE

Two days later, after the party, Mia was seated at the bar working on her phone when Justin came over.

“Hey Mia”. He said and sat down.

” Hey, you are here, how is it going?”. she asked smiling.

“Great, I came here to talk to you”.

“OK, but is there a problem?” she asked curiously.

” Not really, can we hang out later in the day?”. He asked.

“Um,”. She got interrupted.

” Hey”. Ryan said as he moved to her at the bar and placed a kiss on her cheek.”How are you doing babe?”. he asked smiling lovingly at her, Justin stared at him confusedly including Mia who became nervous. “Hey, you must be Mia’s friend?”. he asked staring at Justin.

” um, yeah, am Justin”. he replied.

“OK, I have heard some much about you”. he said.

” Um, Justin, this is Ryan, my boyfriend”. Mia said.

“Oh, nice to meet you too Ryan, you are one of the Williams sons?”.

“Yeah, nice to meet you too”. he replied. ” Mia, I will be in the VIP room, bring me my favorite drink when coming”. he said and walked away.

“Sorry about that”. Mia said.

” Is ok, I think I should be on my way now”.

“But you just came”.

” Yeah, I need to get my stuff ready because I will be leaving tomorrow”. he said.

“Leaving tomorrow? To where?”. Mia asked confusedly.

” Back to the state, that was why I was asking if you would be available to hang out, but I guess your boyfriend won’t like it”. He said.

“Am so sorry, but will you be coming back?”.

” Nope, my dad built a company over there and it is my responsibility to manage it”.

“Wow, congratulations”. She said smiling.

” Thank you, I will take my leave now, but don’t worry, we can still chat on the phone from time to time”.

“Sure, I will miss you, it was a pleasure seeing you again, and thank you for your time, I had fun “.

” Me too, please say hello to Maya for me”.

“I will, take care of yourself, and don’t forget to call me when you get there”.

” Sure, bye”. He stood up and left.

Mia sighed staring after him as he disappeared from her sight.

“You are truly a good person”. She said and then picked Ryan’s favorite drink and left to meet in the VIP lounge.

Ryan was on the phone when Mia walked in with his drink, she placed it on the table.

” Let me call you back”. He hung up and smiled at her.”Did your friend leave already?”. he asked.

“Yeah”.

” Hope I wasn’t the reason he had to leave?”.

“No, he just came to say farewell, because he is moving back to the state”.

” Oh, really?”.

“Yeah”.

” Well, I wish him the best of luck”. He said.

“Sure, let me head back to the bar”.

” Are you off tomorrow?”.

“Yeah”.

“OK, get yourself ready, we going out”.

“Where?”. she asked curiously.

” I am telling ya, is a secret,”.he said, and Mia feigned annoyance.

“Fine”. She walks away and Ryan smiles after her.

JAYDEN’S MANSION

Maya came out of the room and walked in the direction of the staircase, Suddenly, she slipped almost reeling to the ground, she felt a hand pull her back.

” Are you okay?”. Diana asked still holding onto her hand, Maya was shivering with fear, she wondered what would have been come of her and the baby if she had fallen.”Try to calm down, you are fine now”. she said trying to ease her nerve, then she caught sight of water on the floor.”Why is there water here?”. she wondered and call out to Linda. “Linda”. She called and Linda rushed down from the kitchen to answer her.

” Yes, Ms.Diana, you called me”.

“Why is there water on the floor? Do you know she almost slips because of it? What if there was an accident?”. She quarrels

” Am sorry, I didn’t know there was water on the floor, I will get the mop to clean it “. She said.

” Good, when coming, bring her a glass of water”. she said and helped Maya to the room.”You will be fine”. She helped her onto the bed and made her rest her back on the pillow, then Linda entered with a glass of water and gave it to Maya, She drank a little from it and gave the glass cup back to her.”Are you feeling better?”. She asked firmly while Linda walked away.

“Yes, thank you”. Maya replied.

” You are welcome, you should be careful when walking on a slippery floor”. She said.

“Sure, I will, thank you for saving me earlier “.

“That is what I can do, you are a nice person and it’s my responsibility to look out for you”. She said and they smiled at each other.” Is there something you need?”.

“No, am fine for now”.

“Are you sure?”.

” What the heck are you doing here?”Ryan interrupted them from behind staring hard at Diana, they turned in his direction, and Diana stood up from the bed.

“Hey, Ryan, is so good to see you”. Diana said.

” Don’t ‘hey’ me, what the f*ck are you doing here? What were you trying to do to her?”. he yelled angrily.

“Ryan! Don’t be rude, she is not doing anything to me, she was just being nice”. Maya said trying to defend Diana.

” And you believe her? She is pretending, I want you out of this room, now!”. He said staring hard at her.

“Ryan!”. Maya called trying to make him stop.

” Ryan, I know you hate me and–.Diana got interrupted.

“Of course, I hate you, Do you expect me to open my arms warmly to you after what you did to my brother, I don’t know the cook-up lies you told my brother to make him allow you stay in this house, but I will warn you, if anything happens to my brother and his woman, you will have me to contend with”. He warned.” Now leave!”. he order.

“Ryan, stop, you–“. she got interrupted.

” Is ok, Maya, I will leave”. She said sadly and walked away.

“What is wrong with you Ryan? That was very rude of you”. Maya quarrel.

” She deserves what she is getting, don’t let her fake smile get to you, I know she is pretending “. Ryan said.

” You know what, I am ready for your nonsense, why are you here?”.

“I came to get some files, jayden sent me to get them from his room”. He moved to the wardrobe and searched through it, but it wasn’t there.

” Did he tell you where he kept it?”.

“Um, yeah”. He said thinking.”I guess is in the drawer”. He searched the drawer and found them.” Got it!”.

“How could you not remember where he told you it was”.

” I did remember, not when I found the witch here”.

“Don’t blame her and she is not a witch “. Maya said and Ryan scoffed.

” Easy for you to say, stop trying to defend her, anyway, am off now, take care of yourself, and don’t let the witch in here again”. He said and walked away, Maya smiled after him.

Linda was questioning the girls who moped the floor.

“I did, I didn’t know a drop of water fell on the floor”. Lucy said sadly.

” That was risky, Ms.Maya could have fallen off if Ms.Diana hadn’t been there early to save her”.Linda said and they gasped.

“Oh my, is she okay?” They asked curiously and Linda nodded, they sighed in relief.

“Oh my, Thank goodness”. Andrea said.

“Please don’t make that mistake again”. Linda warned.

” Yes, I won’t “. She replied and they continued with what they were doing.

Later in the night, Maya was having a nightmare, as she kept tossing her head. She dreamt of being tied to a chair in a dark room and her mouth was tied up, she tried screaming and calling for help, but she couldn’t. Then someone appeared in front of her holding a knife.

” You ruined my life and I will make sure I kill you!”. The Strange voice said angrily, she raised the knife and tried stabbing her in her tummy.

Suddenly, Maya screamed out of her sleep, and jayden woke up due to her scream.

“Maya”. he turns on the light

” Ahhh!”. Maya screamed feeling pain in her tummy.

“Maya, what’s wrong?”. He panicked seeing her groaning in pain.

” Ahh! My tummy, Ahh! It hurts!”. She sob. “Ahh! my baby”. She groaned in pain as she felt something flowing down from her legs, she touched it and noticed she was bleeding, Jayden was shocked as well. “Ahh!”. She cried out

” Maya, hang on, I will take you to the hospital”. He picked up his car keys and moved to the other side of the bed to help her up.”Come on, Maya, you can do this”.

“It hurt!” She sobs and Manages to stand up, Jayden carries her up in a bridal style and rushes out to where his car is.

He placed her in the backseat and asked the security man to open the gate quickly, which she obeyed, he entered the car and drove out heading straight to the hospital. Along the driveway, Maya was getting weaker and groaning in serious pain

“Please Maya, hang in there a little, we will be at the hospital soon”. He said staring at her in the mirror, he couldn’t bear to see her in that pain, it hurt him as well.” please hang in there “.

“Jayden I can’t! It hurt badly”. She cried.

“Please for my sake, just a little, please”. He said as tears filled his eyes. ” please!”.

“Jayden”. She called weakly and passed out.

” Maya!”. He cried out and increased the speed of the car. “No! No!, please don’t do this to me, please!”. He said driving at a high speed.

He didn’t care if he killed anyone on the way with the mood he was in now, he couldn’t bear to lose the woman he loved, and his heart failed to see the conscious body of the woman he cherished and cared for in this whole wide world.

Soon, he arrived at the hospital and rushed inside to call the nurse, they came out with a medical stainless steel stretcher trolley placed Maya on it gently, and rushed her into the emergency ward quickly.
