Lucas was seated in his minibar drinking his red wine when his cell phone rang, he picked it up quickly.
“Did you find anything?” He asked on the phone.”Okay, I will be right there”. He hung up and walked away.

An hour later, Lucas arrived with his men at a local town, they walked into a small house that was made of wood. The whole place was well-furnished with a wooden design.
“Who are you?”. An elder woman interrupted as she stepped out of her room to see strange people in her house.
” Good day woman, are you ma Rosary?”. Lucas asked politely as he sat down.
“Yes, who are you? What are you doing here?”. She asked confusedly.
” Please have a seat, we need to talk”. He said
The old lady stared at him for a while and sat down.
“What are we to talk about?”.She asked.
” I need the truth from you, I want to know what happened thirty-three years ago, January, 5th, 1990 at Spring clinic”. He said and he could see the surprised look on her face.
“What? Who are you and how do you know about this?” she asked curiously.
Lucas scoffed as he brought out his cigarette and started smoking making the place uncomfortable for the old woman.
“Does this name ring a bell in your ear ‘Wyatt’ huh?”. He asked and the woman gasped.
” Please don’t kill me, I didn’t do anything”. She begged.
“Well, start talking or you will be dead”. He frowns.
” Ok, I will talk”. She sputtered.

*THIRTY-THREE YEARS AGO*
~~~~Spring clinic~~~~
Mr Charles rushed his wife to the hospital because she was in labor, he was waiting impatiently for the doctor when suddenly Wyatt rushed his wife who was also in labor. Ma Rosary happened to be the midwife and also a very good friend to Wyatt.
Both men were waiting impatiently for their wives. Soon the midwife came out and excused Wyatt to the corner of the hospital.
“What is going on? why did you bring me out here?”Wyatt asked.
” There is a problem?”.She said.
“What problem? Is my wife okay?”. He asked curiously.
” No, the baby she carries in her womb is dead and she is on the point of losing her life”.She said and Wyatt gasped for breath.
“What?”.
” Yes, I just want to inform you about it”.
“Oh, I don’t want that, that child in her womb matters to me, I need an heir, you have to help me”.
” What do you want me to do?”.
“You are a midwife, you should know what to do, I need a male child that will take over my possession when I am gone,”.he said.
Rosary wandered around for a while.
” I have an ideal”.
“What could that be?”.
” The other woman that was brought in before your wife, she is also in labor, she has a son, but she passed out during the delivery process, we can switch your wife, dead child, with hers”. She said and Wyatt sighed in relief.
“Oh Rosary, thank you very much, I will pay you handsomely for this”.
” Not a problem, but, this is going to be a secret between the two of us”. She said.
“No problem”. he replied
They smiled at each other and went back inside.
Meanwhile, Mr. Charles and his wife were informed of their child’s death, they wept bitterly.

Lucas stood up quickly looking stunned.
” What? How can you be so cruel?”. He yelled.
“Am sorry”. She sobs.
” You are sorry, do you know what you have done? You caused a whole family pain because of your selfish interest, how could you”. He grunts angrily.
“I was only helping your father”.
” He is not my father! Heaven knows he would have died in my hands if not that he is dead now, gosh! I hate that man, he made me believe his lies, and you have to be his accomplice”.he retorts.
“Am sorry please forgive me, I have been feeling guilty for everything, each time I tried to talk, your father threatened to kill me if I said a word to anyone, I couldn’t take it anymore, and I had to run away in other to avoid his wrath, up till now I am still hunted by what I have done, please forgive me “. She begged kneeling.
” Now tell me, who are my real parents?”. He asked staring hard at her.

LUCY’S APARTMENT
An hour later, Lucas drove to the building after Rosary told him where he would find the person who could take him to his parents. Ma Lucy came out due to the ringing of the bell. She opened the door and was surprised to see an unknown man in her house with his escort.
“Yes, who are you?”. She asked.
Lucas took off his shaded glasses and his cap, Ma lucy was shocked by his look and it suddenly reminded her of someone.
“Good day ma”. Lucas said politely.
“Good, Who are you and how can I be of help to you?”. She asked.
“Am Lucas, I have something to tell you”. he said.
Ma lucy stares at him for a while and then ushers him in, they sit down and she offers him a drink.

CLUBHOUSE
Mia was attending to some customers at the bar, then she got a text from Ryan to come to the lounge. She sighs and calls one of her colleagues to take her place for a while.
Mia came to the lounge and closed the door behind her, she wondered why Ryan was not in the room.
” He sent for me and now he is not here”. She sighed and then turned to leave.
Suddenly, she felt warm arms around her waist as they pulled her close, the touch sent shivering to her body, she had missed this touch for a while now and she closed her eyes to ease her tension. Ryan continues to caress her waist and places a kiss on her neck.
“I have missed you so much”. he said as he continued kissing her neck and flirting with her waist.
Mia couldn’t control the desire burning through her body, she turned to him quickly and captured his lips, Ryan was caught off guard by her sudden action, but then he responded to her kisses and caressed her face kissing her passionately, they found their way to the sofa and Mia was seated on his laps. Their kissing was out of the world as Mia tried to unbutton his shirt, But Ryan broke out from the kiss and held her hand quickly.
” Mia, stop”. He said and both were panting.”W-w-we”. he sputtered.
“Am sorry”. She stood up from his lap.”Am sorry I was out of control”. She said with her head bowed to the ground.
Ryan sighed and stood up facing her.
” You don’t need to apologize, this is not the right place to–“. he sighed.
“I promise I won’t do it again, I just don’t know what came over me, I was just–“. She sighs tiredly. ” I have to go”. She turned to leave but Ryan held her from behind.
“I know you are going through a lot right now, but I promise I will always be here, I want the old Mia back”. he said and turned her face to himself.”I love you”.He kissed her forehead and they hugged each other.

LUCY’S APARTMENT
Ma Lucy was in deep tears after Lucas told her everything that happened.
” This is not happening, my brother and his wife mourned for your death, they were heartbroken, I can’t believe you are alive”. She sobs.”If only they were alive to witness this day”.
“How did they die?”. He asked sadly.
” They were involved in a ghastly motor accident some years back after they had Maya, two years after your death”. She said.
A tip of tears crawls out from Lucas’s eyes.
“F*ck!”. Lucas grunts sadly.
“If only Maya was still alive to know she had a brother”.He sniffs.”You are just the replica of your father, you have his eyes and looks, no wonder I was shocked when I first saw you”.She sniffs.

Some hours later, Lucas came to the bar to have himself drunk to ease his pain. Meanwhile, Jayden also was present in the same bar to have a drink, Suddenly their eyes met.
” What are you doing here Jayden? It’s been a while?”. Lucas asked feeling tipsy
Jayden ignored him as he continued with his drink. Lucas drew his chair closer to him.
“Are you trying to ignore me now? Well, is too late, because we are going to be seeing each other more often, do you understand me?”. He laughed.
” Can you move your sorry a*s away from me, I am really not in the mood for your nonsense”.Jayden said as he resumed his drink.
“Don’t be too harsh, I am not the cause of your misfortune, you were too careless and stupid at the same time to let her go”. He said smiling.” I do try to warn her against you, but she didn’t listen, You are the cause of Maya’s death”. He said Jayden punched him hard in the face and he fell on the ground, everyone in the bar turned in their direction.
“Don’t you dare mention her name with that useless mouth of yours, You have no right”. He said angrily.
Lucas managed to stand up and he returned the punch to him. The whole bar became rowdy as they started fighting, everyone in the bar ran out. Jayden and Lucas’s men rushed inside to see their boss engaging in a serious fight, they stood watching them, they dared not try to interfere.
The whole bar was messy with bottles and chairs scattered on the ground. They fought and fought until their faces were filled with bruises. Jayden was unto of him raining punches at him, after a while, Lucas rolled him over and started rainy punches at him.
They fought until they became weak and they lay on the ground panting with their faces bleeding.
” Maya is alive”.Lucas said weakly.” I Can take you to her”.
Jayden turned his face to him in surprise.
